I think Pearson being at Leuven means that it isn't impossible in the future but they've only just bought them, it'd be a shitty move to go and send their new manager with 4 wins on the bounce away from the club almost immediately. For my club's situation we are so far below an acceptable level at the moment that I'd genuinely take a number of 'sick in my mouth' candidates to replace Koeman just to see the players go onto the pitch looking as if they know their jobs and they aren't terrified of the ball. Everton are a very rare occurance whereby your owner has good intentions, has employed Steve Walsh to oversee transfers, and has a great policy from the under 23 and below. Our fans were very vocal against Kenwright for many years for his perceived poor running of the club and more recently criticising Walsh and the board for not getting the striker we needed. However, there's much more traction in the anti-Koeman movement because people know that he can actually get sacked whereas most of the board can't even if they share the responsibility for the situation we're in. It's a vicious cycle which slowly but surely lowers standards. I don't like misplaced accountability and that's exactly what is happening at Leicester at the minute. Rudkin should've gone a long time ago, January 2017 for me was the final straw. I can't sit there and not make a fuss about him being the man who is not only allowed to hang another manager out to dry, but then be the one who tells him he's sacked. Managers are too often the fall guy now. You look at clubs like Sunderland, Villa etc... and realise that those clubs ultimately had fundamental issues behind the scenes. They are bigger problems than any manager and they are ultimately what will hold clubs like us and West Ham back. Newcastle have similar issues but luckily for them they have a manager in Benitez who is patching up those problems by delivering results. What we did two years ago was incredible, but even more incredible when you consider how shoddily directionless we've been since some point during that year. Then they take over football clubs and either think they know enough about it to make all of the key decisions themselves or delegate the running of the club to other business bods that have no expertise related to football. Tony Fernandes was one of the worst for me as he made a fortune with his airlines and became one of the richest men in the world then was stupid enough to completely mismanage both his Formula 1 team and his investment in QPR. Surely when you pump all that money into a football club you make sure it doesn't go to waste by surrounding yourself with people who know how football clubs should be run, the risks involved with things like changing the wage structure massively and trying to buy or build new stadiums and dealing with agents etc so that you don't have to make uninformed decisions. It just completely baffles me how often people with clearly great business sense are utterly incompetent at applying the same logic to running a football club.
