Well it's not like Barca didn't have chances to score. Iniesta puts that away as well as Suarez it could of ended 3-2. They were not efficient on the night.

Could be a whole different thing at the Nou Camp. Barca better hope Juve forget how to play football the way PSG did.

Juventus seem to have a bit more defensive toughness and organisation about them than PSG - also have a better coach. I can't see Barca winning by 4.

That's the difference between last night and the PSG game. PSG were the only team in that game, whereas last night was actually a much tighter game over the 90 minutes and it was a case of the home side being a lot more clinical.

There can be no excuses for either of those 2 sitters though. You have to score those in these type of games. You can be more forgiving of Iniesta as it doesn't help matters when you're barely playing before being thrown into the deep end(he should have been playing a lot more recently in order to maintain his rhythm), although at the same time, despite not being known for goals, he should have buried that. As for Suarez, there can't really be any excuses since he specialises in this department. You've got to score them when playing such big games away from home.

There needs to be some changes. A manager with fresh ideas then a few players such as a top midfielder and a top right back and those changes alone could make a difference. Denis Suarez also needs a manager who has faith in him as he's a quality young player who can have a big future at the club if utilised correctly. He showed loads of great signs when being given chances and would have only improved his game if given the minutes needed. It's him and not Gomes who should be getting the minutes.

As for a comeback, there is no chance this time as Juventus are too strong defensively to lose such a big lead, they also have too much talent in attack not to score against what is a mediocre defence. There have been 2 big comebacks in recent years in the champs league against both AC Milan and PSG, although this Juve side are more solid than both of those sides and a much more balanced and complete side.

As for Ivan Rakitić, well he's been rotated a lot as has Iniesta so as (I assume) to be fresh for the key games.

Sergio Busquets was a massive massive miss today for the balance of the midfield. The second Juve goal is testimony to where Busquets covers deep runs from midfield. Plus everything else he does in linking everything in that area while on the ball.

I used to be all about "El Clasico", but I gotta say this season's Champions League has overshadowed anything and everything else (the fact that we didn't capitalize in La Liga matches didn't help).

Incidentally, El Clasico is on St Jordi's Day this year :-) Anyone know how to say: "A Rose for Love and a Book Forever this St Jordi's Day" in Catalan and Castilian? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone think that Barca can comeback next Tuesday at the Camp Nou? No "Uefalona" conspiracy theories, please. I'm interested in hearing whether anyone GENUINELY thinks we can comeback against the Old Lady.

Per the UEFA Rankings, PSG is #6. Juve is #5.

The Italians are going to play their catenaccio, yes, but

Camp Nou is a different animal.

For some reason I keep thinking back to the Chelsea 2012 Champions League winning campaign when all the stars kept aligning for them in the CL even when they didn't do too well in the domestic league. Hoping we do a "Chelsea 2012" (yes, I know, ironically enough) in the Champions League.

It might be heretical to say this but the CL is in some ways EASIER to win than La Liga. PROPORTIONALLY, a team can lose more games in the CL and still win it. There's less of a margin of error in La Liga where consistency is key.

By this very definition, FC Barcelona has been BY FAR the very best team in Europe these past 10+ years (8 times Champions of Spain in 12 years)

It's well established that La Liga has been (by far) the toughest/best league in Europe for the past 5 years, at least. La Liga has the toughest strength of schedule.

Serie A is no La Liga:  I'm not convinced our Champions League campaign ends just yet.
