Rock has made this whole feud and Mania 1000x more interesting and entertaining. I suspect Roman to have an angle of I’m fed up of you taking all the attention etc. Or the Rock will cost Roman the match against Cody.
  3. Somebody on a pod I listened to reeled off our players who played over the internationals and quite a few featured on Tuesday I think. I've been clinging onto the idea we're a bit jaded but I'm less sure that this time is going to have helped than I was. We have come back from every break under Maresca very strongly to be fair. September - Won all 6 games until the next break October - Won the next 3 games after the break November - Beat Watford, drew with Sheff Weds (that was a disgusting game mind) and then won 5 in a row Could mean nothing but we have tended to have our best runs after them. Bristol City are a bit tricky because they seem to raise their game against better teams. Nobody in the top four has beaten them by more than a goal this season, Southampton lost their unbeaten run there, they beat West Ham at home, held Forest to two draws. Their fans are really down about things and they think that Manning has lost large parts of the fanbase and dressing room already, so we may have caught them at a good time, but they do seem to be able to raise their game a bit for an occasion and I would say in my humble opinion tomorrow is classed as one. Everything to me points to unconvincing 0-1 win, which I will take but I do think we'll pay if we don't lift our performances. We've been massively off it since the Boro game.

  5. Blasted through The Gentleman on Netflix. Love it. Sign me up for a season 2 or more Guy Ritchie series. Absolute slam dunk of a show. Plugging along with Shogun as well, 4 episodes in now and Im loving it more every episode. Excellent stuff so far.
  6. Not even a rapper. Lost count of the number of artists videos he wrecked because he felt the need to be on them.

Post of the year is sewn up.
  8. Tbh I'd heard of none of those things other than the Boehly thing and I only heard about it because of @The Palace Fan
  9. Woopsie. Don't shit where you eat.
  10. Which really doesn't make it 'news'. The media love our situation. Love it. It's very easy for them to get clicks by rehashing stuff given our current to only make matters worse situation. Lavia out for the season. Roman investigation. Cheslea PSR potential charges. Chelsea injury crises. Paez caught in a night club. Lukaku hitting back against Chelsea.
  11. He's still chairman til 2027. Might be old news, but that's what this old news actually says.
  12. I think its pathetic and rather sad media outlets feel the need to constantly rehash clickbait articles. Especially about Boehly who the media still believe is running the show. No doubt if we were winning matches this wouldn't of been news. Again. Reports Clearlake will be changing the chairman every 5 years has been known since earlier in the year.
  13. Hoping we can get back on track after the Swansea shambles. Will be a tough game regardless of what has happened to Sunderland.
  14. Predictions - Japanese Grand Prix I'm posting these very early as I'm off on holiday tomorrow. I'll try my best to tag reminders next Friday ahead of qualifying which will be early Saturday morning for most of us! @RandoEFC @Stan @MUFC @Tommy @nudge @Whiskey @The Palace Fan @Coma @DeadLinesman @OrangeKhrush Pole Position - Which driver will post the fastest lap in Q3? [INSERT DRIVER] Podium - Which drivers will finish the Grand Prix in the top three positions AFTER MAX VERSTAPPEN IS REMOVED FROM THE RESULTS? 1. [INSERT DRIVER] 2. [INSERT DRIVER] 3. [INSERT DRIVER] Random Driver - Predict the finishing position of this week's random driver, Pierre Gasly. [INSERT POSITION] Bonus Question - We've done this one before - which driver's finishing position will outperform their current Drivers' Championship position by the most places? E.G. if Carlos Sainz finishes 2nd, he will have outperformed his current position in the Drivers' Championship (4th) by 2 places. If nobody picks the "biggest overperformer", then I'm going to give the full 5 points rather than 2 consolation points to whoever makes the best pick. [INSERT DRIVER]
  15. We're not keeping a clean sheet, but I can't work out if we'll score more than them or not Time to see what the teams mettle and mental fortitude is like. About time some players start performing again too. Most of our squad didn't play so would have been well rested over the internationals. No excuses for fatigue or tiredness from them.
  16. He's clearly hoping he can use this terror attack as a false flag as an excuse to further escalate against Ukraine. I think it's pretty clear ISIS did it, they released the pictures of the attackers (which look to be the same people Russia arrested, tortured, and charged) as well as the actual body cam footage from the attackers - which I don't think they'd be able to do without having received that footage from the attackers or if it was livestreamed to ISIS for them to record. ISIS has been getting bombed by Russia for years in Syria, Russia tried to foster ties with the Taliban when they took over Afghanistan again (and ISIS-K are fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan), Russia had just arrested some ISIS-K members as well. I think ISIS just saw Russia busy with war in Ukraine that has tied up its military and thought "this is a good time to strike at Russia while it's weak." And Russia looks weaker than ever because the general response times to the attack were appalling. Dictatorships rule over their people by demonstrating their strength. Admitting that civilians may be vulnerable to attacks by ISIS is an admission that Russia is not as strong. By trying to play off this attack as something Ukraine's done and as part of the war, the threat doesn't seem so imminent and unpredictable - attacks like this will stop when Russia wins according to Putin. It also can serve as a way to direct the outrage of a massacre of civilians towards Ukraine rather than at Russian security forces for their lackluster response that let over 100 people die. And by making this claim he can probably go to the international community and say "look we aren't the only ones who have deliberately targeted civilians in this war, and sending in gunmen to slaughter people is worse than just dropping bombs." So I think it's pretty clear what he's playing at here. He's a dictator trying to twist an embarrassing situation into something he can use positively for himself.
  17. No idea who we have back fit. Mbeumo should start which is good, getting closer to the Brentford of recent years. Not sure what the back line looks like though, thankfully Reguillon is banned, but our options at wing-back are still depleted. Could be a good game for us, could be some obvious holes in the team still missing. Hard to predict
  18. Don’t want to alarm you but everything in that picture is old news
  19. With Yemen it's because the US is more involved in the genocide the Saudis have been behind than they are with the human rights abuses in Israel. With Syria, it's because Russia's helping Assad. They're both on the UNSC, so they've got veto power so even if something was raised it'd get immediately vetoed. Sad truth though is that the international community does not give a fuck if other Muslims kill other Muslims - I honestly think there's large parts of the world that see Muslims killing Muslims and think "lol cool." Tbh I don't know much about the conflict between Sudan and South Sudan so I'm not going to comment on that, but I assume it's more of the same + they're African so racists probably care even less if they kill each other. The UN's important because it's a world diplomatic forum, but in terms of actually doing anything about human rights abuses when UNSC permanent members are involved... it doesn't do anything. All those committees and commissions on stuff like human rights, climate initiatives, drug abuse... I think that's partially just some countries want to pat themselves on the back and other countries just end up in those committees/commissions and even heading them because of the policy of rotation and just make a mockery of the situation. It is what it is, but I still think it's good to have an avenue for diplomacy for the international community to all gather and get their say, especially with the world as polarised as it is today. It's good to have an institution for diplomatic avenues in the face of global conflict, to avoid a world war - and that's really all the UN has to it that has any point at all. The rest is just pointless fluff so some countries can have a feel good moment.
