  1. We're out the bottom three. Jesus fuck.
  2. Only two games I've not worked this season and we've won them both.
  3. Thankfully Christensen was subbed so his clean sheet locks.
  4. Shit Sako the things I want to do to you right now. A draw that feels like a win. Doesn't help our cause but doesn't dent morale either.
  5. Retired Players - What They Look Like Now

He's looking a lot better now than he did a couple of years ago. I guess that's not saying much as when I saw him at a testimonial match in 2009 I was genuinely worried for his health. Dean Holdsworth is one that changes his appearance on a yearly basis.
  6. Stoke City FC

I wouldn't say finishing ninth consecutively is awful.
  7. Zaha to score an do a diving celebration in front of Silva and their mascot.
  8. 2017 Member Of The Year Award Poll (Group Stages)

We can always fix staff member of the year out of protest
  9. If English Managers want to succeed then they need to go to countries in Europe to build a reputation as the culture of quick sackings in England does nothing to help the development of Managers. If this culture had existed years ago then the likes of Moyes, Pardew and Allardyce would not be getting jobs. David Moyes would have been sacked for Evertons finish in 2003/04, Sam Allardyce would have been sacked for nearly taking Bolton down in 2002/03, and Alan Pardew would have been going for failing to get West Ham out The Championship in 2003/04. The next generation of Managers after them are the ones that have suffered. The likes of Gary Monk at Swansea, Steve Clarke at West Brom and Nigel Adkins at Southampton who were all sacked for doing rather well and have never recovered. If Graham Potter had managed clubs over here he would probably have been written off after six months the at a shit house like Wigan.
  10. Football Manager 2018 - General Chat

I used to get this all the time at Oldham. Really took the fun out of it at first considering we were the smallest team in The Championship at one point. I used to hate when you enquire for a player and they'd demand fourty million only for him to join another team for four million a couple of weeks later.
  11. I'm still half asleep and thought that said England appoint Pardew as Manager.
  12. Crystal Palace - Football Manager 2018

Providing we don't get involved in a relegation battle i'll stick to one short review for the remainder of this season.
  13. Crystal Palace - Football Manager 2018

Transfer Activity: Wout Weghorst (TM) AZ Alkmaar 8mil - I very nearly didn't sign another Striker as both Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham were both performing at a good level, but injuries to both of them reminded me of the necessity for three Strikers. Unfortunately I couldn't find a reasonably cheap Striker anywhere. Then I came this towering Dutchman who was the top scorer in The Eredevise with 13 goals. He possesses the attributes to fit in to the system well. Only time will tell if he's going to be as effective as the other two but he will be given a whole month of game time to settle due to current injuries. Danny Ward (GK) Liverpool 3.2mil - Whilst Wayne Hennessey has played well this season it has constantly been on my mind that we only have one suitable backup Goalkeeper and he's at an age where he should be considering retirement. I however did not want to spend big and couldn't enter the loan market as we already had two long term loan deals at the club. My scouts identified Darren Ward as unhappy at Liverpool and he was somebody that ticked all the boxes. He was at an age where he should develop, he was being allowed to leave for a fraction of his potential worth, and his performances at Aberdeen and Huddersfield more than merit a stake at a club looking to avoid relegation in The Premier League. It's also a signing that should help get the best out of Hennessey due to the competition instead of just trumping him out. Kaziah Sterling (TM) Spurs 350k - Kaziah had played three times this season for Tottenham, scoring once in the process, and looking established in all three games. So when it was bought to my attention how cheap Tottenham were willing to depart with him for I had to act. He's 19, and isn't ready to start regularly, but I imagine he will be gradually making more and more of an impact every season. League Form - Christmas & January: Initially I was half expecting us to get dragged in to a relegation fight again when we failed to beat Everton after dominating the game but the players responded magnificently with unexpected back to back wins against Leicester City and Stoke City even though the squad was being heavily rotated. Both Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke were both injured for a minimum of six weeks so I wasn't expecting much but dramatic 92nd minute winners in both matches occurred courtesy of Connor Wickham and Andros Townsend gave us much needed six points in a difficult fixture period. We then convincingly continued this form against both Cardiff City and Watford. They were both pretty even matches in the first half but the likes of Wickham, Cabaye, Townsend and Sakho showed their quality to be decisive factors in both matches. The form then took a turn for it's worth as Liverpool seemed content on causing revenge for the defeat earlier in the season. This hangover then continued as Chelsea took advantage in the fourth round of the FA Cup. I expected us to recover against Huddersfield and we dominated the match in an expected fashion, but two silly defensive errors remained costly and became two points dropped. Player of The Month: Andros Townsend. He's had a lot more pressure put on himself with injuries to the likes of Zaha and Benteke but he's responded magnificently all season.
