After the hectic end of October and all of November, Barça have a period of breathing space where high profile games are concerned. What does this mean though?  Everything is difficult in a long hard season and sometimes it's the games you least expect that end up turning you over...

Still, under Valverde this team has managed (so far) to seem to take every game as if it were a final and like anything other than 100% isn't enough. You wouldn't expect anything less from a coach that's been in charge of a club like Athletic Bilbao for a number of years because that's the historical methodology of a club like Atlhletic.

Celta Vigo have redound form again after a strange period a few weeks back... They're winning again and Iago Aspas is a thorn in Barcelona's backside by tradition.

Athletic Bilbao who traditionally give Real Madrid a tough game are in their worst form for 6 years... They've just been eliminated from the Copa del Rey by a third division side, Formentera and for a club that is second in the list of the most Copas del Rey won in Spanish history, that's a massive blow!  Had it been any other moment, Real's present form would've had me feeling pretty confident that Athletic would get something meven more than just a draw... Can't see them picking themselves up for this game at the new San Mamés and an easy victory for Real who have continued to have massive issues and could only manage a draw at home to another third division club like Fuenlabrada.

The "Morbo" game has to be UD Las Palmas v Real Betis... Quíque Setién goes back to the club he managed for two seasons needing a victory after a couple of bad results. That game is a must watch!

Then you have Atlético Madrid at home to Real Sociedad... La Real have been crap away from home after a great start to the first weeks of the season and Atleti are undefeated and have also found scoring form (that which was lacking for over a month) recently... Can't see anything other than a victory for Simeone's soldiers.

looking at their fixtures for this month and noticed the last domestic game is the Classico.

The workrate and effort never dips in this Barca side. With Real's inconsistent and shaky form, it could make for one of those games where it's tight or, hopefully, a 5-0 Barca win

2-2 now. Anything less than a win today would be a fuck up, after so many chances created and some nice football on show. But Celta yet again have shown how deadly they can be on the counter and how you can't allow them anything. Maxi Gomez with yet another goal to add to his season's tally.

The defence is just dreadful

The defence(and especially Umtiti) have been the strong point this season overall. One game doesn't suddenly make them shit.

Celta are a  average team and are getting past this defence so easy. If this was not Barcelona everyone will be saying the same.

The defence is the best in Europe so far this season and Umtiti at least for me is one of the top theee central defenders on the continent. But that last point is subjective.

This was always gonna be one of those games and a very difficult one. I already warned of this in my first post on this thread.

Great game though... Very exciting and there are no problems becaise this is football and they’re not gonna win every game.
