I used to experience people mistaking my kindness for weakness but even being in this job has built up a resilience to those that try and take advantage of it. I've become more confident as a result of being in this job too. I predominantly deal with the stereotypical housing benefit families (ugh!) and council/social housing estate demographics - you have to be tough to deal with them as they do not like being told what to do i.e. pay their rent and if they're in arrears they don't like being told that either haha.
I've been working in this role since November 2014. So glad I moved out of finance for this!

I love it. I'm a Housing Officer for a large local housing association and recently become home-workers (bonus!). Finally found something I'm good at, have a passion for and feel like it challenges me in various ways. And recently been fairly successful at it.
Nothing is as good as the United fans bouncing in the stands, celebrating winning the league... just as Sergio Aguero hits the onion bag in injury time to win it for City.
The pictures of the United fans faces as it unfolded that were being broadcast live across the world was quite literally 'priceless'.
