  1. I have similar feelings about sugar-daddy clubs, not anywhere near to the same degree though. I don't personally like or support the concept (I'm old school and for me, football's too commercialised as it is already), but I don't really care either because those are not German clubs, and most importantly, because all other clubs in their league have equal playing ground - as in any club can sell themselves if they want to and manage to find someone willing to take over. Which is not the case in Germany due to the 50+1 rule as you probably know, so basically some clubs are just using loopholes and the fact that ultimately, DFL doesn't give a fuck, and thus they (i.e Hoffenheim, Leipzig) are gaining an unfair advantage over the rest who are at least trying to play according to the rules. As for the way RB Leipzig are run, they might not rely on big name transfers, but their transfer balance in the last 5 years is -110 million €, that's more than any other club including Bayern, and they were playing as low as the 4th tier during that time, always spending more (without selling!) than all other clubs added together (in their respective league at the time).

  3. We have a huge squad, players people won't remember are even still here, so we have a lot of bodies and wages to be rid of. Obviously not all of them will command big fees, but people like Amavi, Veretout, Tshibola should pull in pounds and to be honest any fees to get rid of shit like Cissokho, Richards and whoever else will be more than welcome. Johnstone is joining on loan again apparently so that's money I thought we'd need to spend on a keeper that we no longer have to. If we get rid of all the shit, and sign 3 or 4 including the keeper, or even loan in the important positions, we'll still come out the other side with a very good squad at this level (on paper). Now the boss needs to earn his money and make them perform on the pitch, because right now I really don't like him or his crap results/football.

  5. Just switched on Goals On Sunday, Ranieri and Karanka are the guests. For some reason Ranieri is being a real cock, giving ridiculously short answers and looking completely uninterested. Why agree to do a show if you're gonna be like that? I've never seen Ranieri like this tbd but still, it's a bit shitty.

  6. Totally agree with you and @Cicero both you and Chelsea played very good football in your title winning seasons, especially compared to our drab shite. Honestly the Arsenal fans who still claim we play good football must have a screw loose like Wenger because we havent played good football since Cesc left. Honestly out football is as dull as it can get, we can't defend and out attack is just relied upon individual talent.

  7. Beauty and the Beast 3/10 If it wasn't for the fact she'd get fucked she'd be fucked for a career this Emma Watson. The fist time I've ever seen her act, and act isn't a word I'll use with her name in the same sentence again. Also why is a rural French village riddled with upper class a English actors using their own accents I don't know.

  8. What a turbulent season... Started horribly, then we slowly turned it around, had a great Rückrunde with some amazing performances and wins, then two poor matches against Köln and Hoffenheim, and a 7-goal thriller against BVB tonight to finish it off. 8th in the league in the end, good achievement, and I hope we'll build on it to strengthen the team during the summer and challenge for European spots next season!

  9. We are giving discounted season tickets to young fans aged between 17 and 21. Good to hear, looking after the young local people.

  11. I was really hoping we would one day soon get an Asturian derby back in Spain's first division with both Sporting Gijón and Real Oviedo. But something tells me that for this to be a real feature at the top end. Sporting have gone through terrible moments in recent history but nothing compared to what Real Oviedo have gone through which in all honesty can be described as a miraculous turnaround on what they've achieved to date. Sid Lowe is indeed a top English journalist on Spanish football as there is also another one, who does also focus on politics. He writes for both The Guardian and one of Spain's leading newspapers, El País. John Carlin (journalist) - Wikipedia

  12. Love it. Not the bid but Usmanov saying Wenger should pick the next manager because they need continuity. I seem to recall an old red nosed cunt picking a cod's heed to replace him at one of the Manchester clubs for continuity and stability purposes.

  14. No he's just showing himself up to be arrogant as per usual. It's a total myth that us or Chelsea are bad to watch and a myth that Arsenal are that great to watch nowadays either. We defended when we had to? What a crime against football that is.
