  3. Man City will literally pay £50m for a rotation player and it's their own fault for spending that much on players that aren't worth it in the past. Don't tell me that "today's market" is responsible for prices like this. The value is still out there, I've made this argument in other threads about Spurs (who finished ahead of City this season lest we forget) signing most of their first team for less than £20m. It's not the market, it's a question of whether clubs are stupid enough to pay triple the actual necessary fee because they can and or they're too lazy to find a viable alternative who might just need slightly longer to develop into a top class player for £20m instead of £60m. Absolute embarrassment the lengths City and similar clubs will go to to get their man.

  8. Not posted about it since I got back but had a belta time in Vegas. Didn't really know what to expect before I went but it is somewhere I will be going to again. It isn't the same type of holiday as my trips over to Ibiza but enjoyed it just as much. I'll be honest I wasn't a big fan of the Americans before I went but they are spot on, genuinely decent welcoming people. Some of them are as thick as fuck mind, I was accused of being Australian, Scottish and Southern cunting African. The hotels and the strip it's self over there are very impressive, loads going on, plenty of places to go to and see and the food and drink was class. Best day I had over there was hiring a car and me and my mates driving to the Grand Canyon. Was still wrecked from the night before and was having a good drink in the car so the crack was top notch in the car. Was interesting driving through the trailer towns and scenery etc. Had a few moments upsetting the locals and causing havoc as well of course, wouldn't have it any other way.

  10. Nobody can prove whether or not Ferrari did it on purpose but if you know anything about F1 and particularly Ferrari's history with team orders, it's the absolute height of naivety to treat the possibility as if its laughable or some sort of media conspiracy. It's not like the race has given us much else to talk about. Some absolute duds so far this season unfortunately.

  12. I have similar feelings about sugar-daddy clubs, not anywhere near to the same degree though. I don't personally like or support the concept (I'm old school and for me, football's too commercialised as it is already), but I don't really care either because those are not German clubs, and most importantly, because all other clubs in their league have equal playing ground - as in any club can sell themselves if they want to and manage to find someone willing to take over. Which is not the case in Germany due to the 50+1 rule as you probably know, so basically some clubs are just using loopholes and the fact that ultimately, DFL doesn't give a fuck, and thus they (i.e Hoffenheim, Leipzig) are gaining an unfair advantage over the rest who are at least trying to play according to the rules. As for the way RB Leipzig are run, they might not rely on big name transfers, but their transfer balance in the last 5 years is -110 million €, that's more than any other club including Bayern, and they were playing as low as the 4th tier during that time, always spending more (without selling!) than all other clubs added together (in their respective league at the time).
