  3. most impressive, id love to attempt it but you would need some crazy in game money to build something that size and a class C licence which i don't have right now. best star wars build i've seen so far, bet it takes them ages to walk to the pilot seat ..oh, while we are talking star wars i got a new display piece

  4. DFB appointed Andreas Rettig as Bierhoff's successor. Finally, somebody who isn't afraid of disputes with the richest clubs or the board and known as critical of the nonsense DFB did with their "Mannschaft" branding and PR, and the NT "fan club" respectively, as well as critical of the massive influence the biggest clubs (especially Bayern and BVB) gained over the last 10 years. Honestly surprised it was him, who became sporting director as I expected DFB would sign a less opionated yes man for this role.

  6. And to think I was upset we'd missed out on signing him and that you landed him - sounds like we dodged a bullet and he'd probably be getting the Sakho treatment from Klopp.

  7. No more fucking about. Lens v Metz (1.50) - Lens were fantastic at home last season and I still think even despite a weak start this year, they will come good again and this represents a very good opportunity, at home to arguably the leagues weakest side. They've started badly but I think the price has come up from what it really ought to be and it's largely due to bad luck of the fixture scheduling. I watched them against Rennes and they really ought to have won. Home win for me. Swindon v Walsall - over 2.5 goals (1.72) - It always feels like a trap backing something like this but Swindon's games are simply chaos, 31 goals in 6 games so far, over 2.5 goals paying out in 5 of those 6 games, while Walsall have had 5 out of 7 pay out themselves. This to me seems a generous price for a pretty expected outcome. £10 on a double to return £25.80.

  8. Thanks for asking, I'm not going to lie I've had a bad period. I decided to come online less as I need to get my head clear. To top it off my mum who suffers with COPD recently got Covid and ended up in hospital for a period. Thankfully she's on the mend now and she's home.

  9. Says it all that I read this on Twitter about an hour ago, should be absolutely miserable/furious over it but had actually completely forgotten about it until I checked the forum. Gonzo summed up a lot of things about why we're so fucked but it also goes even deeper than that. I listened to a podcast and it took "the esk" basically an hour and a half to describe in detail all of the debt, lack of stadium funding, wages vs turnover, the Ukraine war seeing Usmanov's assets frozen (he was the real financial muscle behind Moshiri), and the rest of it, so I'm not going to try and enlighten people by posting an essay and barely scratching the tip of the iceberg. It's hard to see why fans should care anymore. It's one thing seeing your club get shitter and shitter. Let's not pretend that the David Moyes era was "good" by Everton's historical standard but it's the best I've ever known. You could be proud of the club and you'd prickle when people criticised them fairly or unfairly because you felt like a part of it. Everton Football Club now feels like it's just a thing I follow out of habit. I still have the emotional attachment to the team but I don't bother getting excited about what they could achieve or worrying about the ownership situation because it's just the latest in a growing list of English (and non-English) football clubs that have been picked up as a play-thing by someone with too much money and will now be passed around between investment groups trying to make a quick buck or Middle Eastern governments with an ulterior motive. Everton are probably the biggest club in England that have been absolutely ruined by incompetent ownership. Man Utd might argue but they don't face a potential existential crisis like we do because they'll never get relegated. It goes to show though that it could basically happen to any club.
