A South American double for this round, and 4 winners all for one game... Game 67 had a 21st-minute first goal, and the winning picks... 3 points! @Toinho bags 3 more points and he's on a roll! @Faithcore with 2 points for 22nd minute, and @nudge on 23rd minute gets 1 point. Game 68 had a 63rd-minute first and solitary goal, but no winners. Table after Game 68 New leader! @6666 rises to the summit with his latest and 2nd Exact score. @Toinho also rises up to 4th from 9th with a 2nd Exact, whilst @nudge moves on to 11th but stays in 5th. She now has @Faithcore for company on the same amount of points.2 points

You don't half come out with some shite when it comes to Everton. I've seen probably not far short of a thousand people comment about this penalty including about 100 Reds on social media and those I know in person who aren't shy about sticking the knife in and you still manage to distinguish yourself as the only person who attempts to paint the fans as wrong for protesting. You answer your own question in one sentence. Everton have already spent years protesting this ownership. The bloke is already selling up and he's already got rid of the board who oversaw all of this shitshow. What's the point in still telling him to fuck off now? Plenty of fans have said it's the club's own fault for breaking the rules, which they have. Also "now the Premier League are corrupt". Forgotten have we that you and a slice of your fanbase said stuff like "the integrity of the Premier League is now in serious question" and "this isn't even just about Liverpool, all football fans need to come together against the officiating in this league" because *a single offside decision* went against you? God help us if this were to happen to your lot. Nobody sensible disputes the fact that Everton have technically breached the rules. That's on the club and the ownership who need to do better. But a 10 point penalty is totally disproportionate to the crime in question. If one of your players got sent off for an inoccuous trip in the middle of the field and got sent off for it, you'd blame the referee for dishing out an excessive punishment, not the player for committing a simple foul. If you got caught speeding at 63mph in a 60mph zone and ended up with a 10 year driving ban, you'd be pissed off at the judge who dished that out, even though you shouldn't have been speeding in the first place. If a kid in my class forgets their pen and I put them in after school detentions for two weeks, then I'm the dickhead. Etc. Etc. The punishment here doesn't remotely fit the crime. That's the thrust of the protests. And I really don't think it's that fucking complicated to be honest pal so I hope that clears it up for you.2 points

Lots of elections coming in 2024 and right wing populist are on the march in most places. Yet to be seen whether Wilders can form a coalition. I've always looked at the Dutch political system as the arguments for and against proportionate representation in the UK as I think culture similarities are there. This is a good example of what I mean, argument for, extremes probably can't win majorities or take power like they can in some other systems like some Presidential systems, argument against, extremes can speak more freely. If you want PR in the UK you have to accept that this means a far more vocal far right and extreme right wing views in our political discourse.1 point

Her statements are so bland and tame and very far from antisemitic - it's the US so I think if I'm her, I'd sue for defamation. Calling someone antisemitic publicly is hugely damaging to someone's reputation, especially when sacking them for it. According to some screenshots of her instagram stories... they're pretty blatantly not antisemitic and are just generally pro-peace and anti-war anti-human suffering. I think zionists are doing a disservice to the worldwide battle against antisemitism by blindly tarring so many people as antisemitic for questioning the way they're going about dealing with Palestinians. It takes meaning away from the word when real antisemites say and do antisemitic things when it's just used as a blanket response to criticism about how Israel's government operates. It's like the boy who cried wolf, if you aren't going to be serious about a serious word and accusation... sooner or later people won't ever take the accusation seriously. This cycle of violence is only going to end when the party with the position of power breaks the cycle of violence. Otherwise the extremists of both sides keep feeding the extremism of the other side. From an Israeli perspective, I understand it is hard to want to break the cycle of violence against a group of people that are technically governed (although at the same time, Hamas does not act like a government and treats the people of Gaza like hostages) by a group that has put the death of all Jews worldwide as a goal in its charter. But from a Palestinian perspective, how do you make peace with a government that has demonstrated to you throughout your entire life that you aren't viewed as human. But peace was never going to come after the savagery of the attacks on October 7 - Israel's government is a collection of extremists. How do extremists respond to extreme attacks? With extreme attacks of their own. And honestly, I don't think there's any room for Hamas in a future for a better life for the people of Gaza. Hamas isn't concerned with governing, it's not concerned with civilian life - it's concerned with its holy war. But if the IDF can take out Hamas... what comes next? What happens in the aftermath of this war is going to be a pivotal moment for Palestinians and Israelis. Serious work needs to be put in to combat extremism - both Israeli extremism and Palestinian extremism. And unfortunately, the way Isreal's approached this war has just made it more likely another generation of Gaza grows up with justifiable anger and resentment towards Israel that leads to more and more extremists.1 point

Scream star Melissa Barrera sacked from the Scream franchise for her social media posts shedding light on what was currently happening in Gaza. Production company called it anti-sematic because she was making false references to genocide.... Jenna Ortega set to leave the franchise as well because of Melissa's sacking.1 point

The 115 breaches have been grouped together that fall under 8 or 9 major breaches. There was this ITK City correspondent that believes City are fucked in at least 2 of them.1 point

I’m hesitant to take a side because I think both sides are bad actors at the leadership level. Picking a side here, to me at least, feels like supporting one form of genocide over the other tbh. Or picking antisemitism vs Islamophobia. I don’t want to support genocide. I don’t want to stand alongside antisemites or Islamophobes. I want innocent Palestinians and innocent Israelis to live normal lives in peace.1 point

I have never used the term guilty, but I can understand how that might be inferred and can fully accept a reply to caveat what I said would have been appropriate. My issue is that you layer any valid response in distortion and fabrication. An open goal becomes a row Z strike instead as a result. Arbitration panels are for providing independent assessment to prevent one side of a dispute from being judge jury and executioner. It's not a criminal court. The basics of the CAS case against Manchester City are 3 of the 7 arbitrators voted that the evidence was substantial enough to charge Man City on one of the commercial deals, 4 didn't. The other deal was deemed to have timed out and therefore the arbitrators were not to decide on the evidence. Lastly, the arbitrators upheld a charge for failing to comply with the investigation. Taking these points into account, claims of innocence or cleared of wrong doing are as misleading as saying guilty outright. In the case of the Premier League, as with Everton, the league investigates and then deems if the evidence is there for a charge. Once so, it is referred to an independent panel, I think of 3. You then get 1 appeal and a new panel has to be formed as will happen with Everton. Everton's penalty has raised questions as to why having been charged in February the independent panel has not formed yet to judge the evidence against Man City. Nick Harris mentioned on the Rest is Football that Man City are deliberately drawing this out as long as possible.1 point

Anecdotal? Social media bubble? Yogov tracker has siding with Palestine in the UK at 19%. It was 23% in May. 15% after the October attacks. Siding with Israel has gone from 10% to 19%. Sitting on the fence has rocketed from 19% to 30% as people move out of the "don't know" category thanks to popular attention. In any intellectual space I don't think you can pick a side and not be easily made to look sketchy. The easy opt out to protect perceptions of judgment is to sit on the fence because this issue is way too booby -trapped.1 point

There just seems something fundamentally wrong with the core of this team. I'm not sure if some of these players have the right amount of motivation to play for the national team. I don't blame Nagelsmann for trying something new, but things need to change. Maybe leave out 2-3 of these big names who just don't deliver. Invite some players from the U21 maybe. They could hardly do worse.1 point

The Salford one cropped up for me when I was looking through the fixtures, I had them on a double chance. It was a close game and Gillingham's first half goals looked like they were against the run of play. Salford were probably overpriced there but you can't win them all. Shameless off-topic brag coming here but I put together a silly 80/1 accumulator for today based entirely on my own research into mainly the English and German schedules this weekend. It actually came off at reduced odds of 48/1 because one game was postponed. I've been trying to put my maths to good use to calculate some probabilities and take my own biases out of my betting. It's a bit nerdy but I do believe I can be profitable but until I find a good formula/strategy I'm playing with tiny stakes to experiment so sadly the winner above isn't paying for a month's rent or anything .1 point
