Plenty of goals in Game 71 and 72 and plenty of winners! Yeah it's tiring, you can't even have a discussion on political theory because it's so debased from reality. It melts people's brains that liberalism is conservatism in the USA because liberalism are the foundations of American political thought dating back to the founding fathers, it's just that somewhere people figured that liberal = progressive social policies, when it isn't at all. The democrats and repubs are just different crowds of the same liberalism ideals, personality responsibility, small government, low regulations, and so on, they just pander and contort those basic free-market principals towards their voting base, urbanites, religious cunts, whatever. The culture war is just a diversion of chewable debates and problems to distract people from critical assessments of problems that are fundamental in the systems they live in. Wanking over abstractions doesn't improve the material conditions of people's lives, moaning about an NFL team doesn't change rampant poverty and alcoholism in Indigenous American communities.1 point

In present day it is the husband doing this for the wife. Not just on December 31st at the end of the year, but every day of the year.1 point

In terms of sneaking around, it's like stealth, but in a different way to the games you mentioned because of the type of games they all are. Uncharted is more of an action adventure game where stealth is mainly used as part of set pieces or just for stealth kills where possible (i.e. you've sneaked behind the enemy to kill them). They aren't stealth games where sneaking around like what @Mel81x mentioned is required. The Last of Us has more in the way of stealth and if you want a better comparator, it's closer to that than Uncharted. In this case, it's used in a survival horror sense as being stealthy in taking out the infected or killing other humans is better than all guns blazing, as you'll very quickly get overwhelmed and killed if there's too many. The Metal Gear games have mainly been around stealth and infiltration throughout, as again, while you can shoot enemies and the like, you won't last very long as enemies will hone in on you and basically take you out if you're spotted, especially as you had to be out of line of sight and, in the case of MGS3, be camouflaged well enough to avoid detection. That's not to say you don't use weapons or the like at all and you do need them to take out bosses and the like.1 point

I think the real kicker is that Kojima was really at the top of his game when the first three came out and then it divulged into something of a story mess when 4 came out and the subsequent ones are just a messy story with a lot of tangled webs. If I had to tell someone to play them in an order of fun/good I'd go with the following order Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake-Eater Metal Gear (Original) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain1 point

Interesting to see a different view on Hasidism because you really only get horror stories about sexual abuse, domestic abuse, abuse from those in power (the rabbbis), though I've only watched the first five minutes maybe it gets worse...1 point

Delighted that CM Punk is back in WWE. Hopefully they can do the Punk/Cody feud that AEW decided to skip. Seth will probably be the first programme though. If WWE wasn't booked at a snail's pace on weekly TV then they'd be great regular viewing. AEW need to get their act together. Constant tournaments isn't going to excite anyone.1 point

It's TalkTV. They want to frame everything according to their right wing narrative by using whatever dirty tricks they can. It's basically Fox News for the UK.1 point

In fairness, if they didn't pass over the remains of Big Boss, they'd launch a nuclear weapon.1 point
