  2. Week 9 Results Coventry 1-2 Sheff Weds Lille 2-1 Toulouse Schalke 2-2 Hertha Berlin Toronto 0-1 Inter Miami Juventus 1-1 Cagliari Anderlecht 3-0 Standard Liege Aberdeen 3-2 Hearts Bristol City 1-1 Cardiff Feyenoord 2-1 Twente Sevilla 1-0 Real Betis Round-up Several last-minute actions throughout this week - three of the four Saturday games had last-minute winners as Sheff Weds, Lille and Inter Miami all went home with 3 points after goals in stoppage-time. Aberdeen followed suit on Sunday afternoon, whilst Sevilla ended the week with a huge win over their city rivals. Most of the talk in this league though was at the top of the table - top 3 scorers were all in the hunt for the title. To begin with, @Tommy top-scored with 19 points and that took him into 4th. Just ahead, @6666 went into 3rd with 18 points, and he is now level on 121 points with @Viva la FCB, who lost the lead to @RandoEFC. The gap between all 4 - just three points! @Rucksackfranzose and @Azeem still actually aren't far away despite being 5th and 6th. This season continues to be the most open of all with 6 contenders in place to finish 1st, even this early on. Special mentions also to @CaaC (John) for being the only one to predict Juventus' 1-1 draw with Cagliari, and @Coma who was the only one to predict Aberdeen 3-2 Hearts. Everyone scored double-digits, and all but one of us got at least one Perfect Score. Nothing more to say...

  3. Considered for a while , which one of the two only predicted scores should be prediction of the week: the Frankfurt 3-3 Bayern perfect score, or that correct Augsburg 2-1 Gladbach prediction, while the rest guessed Gladbach would win. Finally I decided it didn't matter which of these straighout excellent shouts would be named since the player showing his suprime expertise was in both cases the same- me. Matchday 6 1) Rucksackfranzose 8 points 2) Viva la FCB 5 points 3) Stan 4 points 4)Michael 3 points 4) nawoo 3 points 4) nudge 3 points 7) Bluewolf 2 points 7) Coma 2 points 7) Tommy 2 points 10) 6666 1 point 11) CaaC(John) 0 points Little movement on the table. Table after 6 matchdays 1) Rucksackfranzose 48 points 2) @Viva la FCB 41 points 3) @nudge 38 points 3) @Stan 38 points 3) @Tommy 38 points 6) @Michael 36 points 7) @nawoo 34 points 8- @6666 31 points 9) @Bluewolf 28 points 10) @CaaC (John) 27 points 11) @Coma 20 points

  4. Another international break disrupts the PL season just as it starts to get into its flow again. @Dan holds on to his 6 point lead as he, @6666 and @CaaC (John) all score 12 points each. @Lucas and @Storts exchange places, but the star of the week is quite clearly @Bluewolf. He scored a big 19 points to take him from 10th to 7th, and astonishingly was the only player to get a perfect score out of everyone this weekend. That pick was included his own team, as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Nottm Forest. Only 6 points difference between 4th and 10th!

  5. Apologies for the delay in getting this week's table out from last weekend's fixtures. @Dan holds a somewhat comfortable lead and is the first to break into triple-figures. @6666 and @CaaC (John) were both the top scorers with 17 points, and they now occupy 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The latter was the only one who got more than 1 perfect score. Small gaps appearing across the table, but only 7 points separate 4th and 8th place in the mid-table pack. @Pep Talk is off the bottom and into 12th.

  6. The Pogba transfer broke Man Utd in my opinion. You could see they paid in part for the brand and not all for the footballer. He's the signing that brought the celebrity culture to the dressing room and I don't think they've ever shaken it off. I remember thinking at the time that's not how Man Utd normally do business. I think they have many players who would be class at City, Liverpool or Arsenal but it's been so long since anyone at Man Utd knew how to guide talent that there's no expertise there anymore. You need more than just a good coach. You need a Guardiola or Klopp type character to come and reshape the entire culture but even if they employed one I don't think they'd be allowed to do what's necessary at that football club and any manager like that worth their salt wouldn't go there anyway. You could list all of the problems there all day but that's certainly one part of it.

  8. Israel targeting hospitals in Lebanon while also killing as many random people as possible. Basically running the same plan as their genocide plan in Gaza. Without the whole "of course Israel wouldn't bomb hospitals" discourse... There were actually people that believed Israel's versions of events back then. Some still do.
