  1. Love Actually - 10/10 Its that time of the year again where I watch this movie. If you havent watched it Ill steal a quote from a wise man "Its time to nut up or shut up" Its thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish with a bunch of different stories connecting to love and Christmas in various ways. Alot of it is relateable and some is just meant to be over the top silly, some great lines and boasting a horde of accomplished actors. I will never tire of this gem. DO IT.

  2. 41 years in space... 11 billion miles from Earth, moving at 54,000km/h... Hard to grasp.

  3. The 'new era' is vastly unpopular with the public. All the retarded bogans see the situation as 'act like cunts and win' or 'behave respectably and lose' They aren't aware that behaviour is independent of the results. Here are the top facebook comments on an article titled "Paine heralds new Aussie era" This is why I hate Australians " The “new era” is absolutely rubbish. Can’t believe the PC brigades have gotten to our national game. Embarrassing." "Just be soft and keep losing. Not a good team, only about half of them should be there" "New era looks crap" "Hard to talk rubbish when your always loosing"

  8. Yes it's somehow almost unfathomable haha. One of my favourite things about the Voyager 2 is The Golden Record we've put on it. Imagine if some future form of intelligent life (even better if it's some form of evolved humans) actually comes across it within a billion of years; potentially long after we're (humans as we know it) gone... and they play it, and find all those unfamiliar images, music and sounds from a civilization from distant past that is long gone... Even if the Earth and the whole Solar System is gone. So cool.

  9. It is a scary thought to think that if we were indeed the only planet in the entire reaches of space that is capable of supporting life as we understand it then we are indeed doomed.. I find that scenario very hard to come to terms with.. Although our initial findings so far point to maybe being alone I would find it hard to believe that we were just a random one off event in all that space... There must be other planets out there that can sustain us or at least have life in some form or another. Depending on the conditions the life would obviously vary. Some planets may be capable of only being able to support the life found on it where we might struggle or even find impossible.. If we could find any evidence from anywhere out there that there may be other life regardless of what type of life it is then there would be hope... Given the distances required to travel in order to find such places great technological leaps would need to be made in space travel like hyper speed, warp drives etc, It may be some considerable time before any of that becomes a reality and if you think about how far we have managed to go over all those years it's still only baby steps in such vastness that it seems almost impossible to calculate... Space is so big and seemingly endless that it could take hundreds of years before our signals or probes reached something that might be able to respond to it, if at all.. Who knows maybe if we have not received a signal or found a planet capable of life by the time our planets resources have run down or overpopulation renders it uninhabitable we may yet end up cruising through the universe on big ships like Battlestar Galactica hoping to one day find a planet that can support life.. If we are indeed the only form of life then eventually we will die out if the tech does not advance quicker than our ability to consume..

  12. Yeah sorry I misunderstood. Considering the judgement in Miller from the Supreme Court, it seems to me that yes May would need Parliament to approve a revocation of our Art 50 notice. Considering most Parliamentarians are Remain, in the case of a referendum I think most would feel very at ease in approving a revocation. Without a referendum, it would be unlikely unless May's deal was defeated and some further development pushed us into even more disorder. edit: Now that I think of it, the reason the court said May needed Parliament to approve triggering Article 50 was because it removed rights from British citizens. Revoking the notice wouldn't remove any rights, in fact it would only undo the removal that Article 50 would cause. Maybe she wouldn't need a vote, idk actually.

  13. Better and more in-depth look at the Fermi Paradox: Thoughts? What is the probability that extraterrestrial life exists, whether in primitive or intelligent or completely unknown forms, in your opinion? Are we alone in an otherwise empty, lifeless universe? Or haven't we just found it yet?

  15. A case brought by Scottish MSPs has finally got the result in Strasbourg that the UK can revoke Article 50 and go back to our previous legal position without consent of the rest of the EU. If Brexit does end up getting cancelled then Scotland should instantly be promoted to leader nation out of recognition of our single-handedly saving the union.

  16. That's one year gone on Dec 7th, 2017 I stopped smoking and on an average then the cheapest brand of the lung-busters cost on an average of £8.00 for 20 so in a year I have saved out £2,688, mind you that money saved was spent on our grandson's. I could have called them cancer sticks but I prefer the saying lung-busters because on Dec 7 last year I ended up in the hospital with a collapsed lung. Still, like a little, cough, cough, drink though.
