  8. I honestly don't know how you two manage it, to be fair... now personally I'm a bit of a loner, so obviously even the thought of having so many people (especially including toddlers!) in the house all the time makes me feel uneasy, but even someone who is a family person needs some alone-time and opportunity to relax and enjoy things on their own... Add work responsibilities to the equation, and it's no wonder you feel drained of energy most of the time. Definitely take a break as soon as you can. I reckon your children should all chip in and send you two on a well deserved proper vacation

  10. I can only imagine he got tired after three seasons of no success even after building one of England's best teams in the Prem. Still, of all the places to go he chose Juventus when there is an open seat literally calling his name back at Barcelona where he could certainly take them to CL glory? Bit odd this appointment if you ask me.

  11. Like giving Marcos Alonso the armband. Shameful in every way. From Keane, to Rio/Vidic, to Giggs, to Ashley Young.

  14. Ravens have emotional quirks similar to humans, study finds Mike Wehner Humans have very advanced brains — or at least we think that’s the case based on what we know about life from an admittedly small sample size of a single planet — but we’re not the only creatures on the planet that exhibits complex emotional traits. Ravens, which are known to be incredibly intelligent, are the subject of frequent study, and new research reveals that they have some of the same personality quirks that humans possess. The research, which was published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, focused on groups of ravens in a laboratory setting. A complex experiment was devised to determine whether the birds’ emotions could rub off on one another, and the results appear to show that they do. The experiment is rather complicated, so stick with me here: First, pairs of ravens were given the choice between two small boxes. One box contained cheese, which ravens enjoy, and the other box was empty. The birds rapidly figured out which box was the “right” one, and the researchers then threw in a wild card in the form of a third box. Observing how many birds picked the mysterious third box gave the researchers a baseline for how optimistic the birds were about selecting the unknown option. The bird pairs were then split up, and one of the birds was presented with two possible selections: dry dog food, which they enjoy, and carrots, which they tend to dislike. The partner bird was allowed to watch how the birds reacted to the choices but could not directly see what the choices actually were, forcing the birds to draw a conclusion based on how their partner had reacted. The three-box test was then run once again, and the scientists observed how they reacted. During the test, the Ravens who saw their partners become angry over their choice in the previous test were far more hesitant to dive into the unknown box, suggesting that the negative reaction of their partner birds had impacted them in a significant way. The birds whose partners acted normally in the prior test showed no change in their behaviour. This shift is known as emotional contagion, and it’s something that humans are known to exhibit as well. The moods of our peers can have a dramatic impact on our own emotions, and the same seems to be true of ravens as well. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/offbeat/ravens-have-emotional-quirks-similar-to-humans-study-finds/ar-AABJotS

  15. I can't believe this is even being discussed. Pogba has a shit attitude and everyone knows it. He's more interested in furthering his image than performing for his team, everyone can see that as well. The Sanchez comparison is a valid one but who gives a shit about criticising him because there's no debate to be had there. Nobody cares about Sanchez, he doesn't play, he doesn't blow his own trumpet on social media, he doesn't do anything to draw attention, he is simply forgotten, not because he isn't black. Pogba is constantly putting himself at the forefront of the media by being the walking embodiment of what Manchester United have become. Most expensive player, highest paid player, constantly appearing in adverts and making daft social media posts, stupid hairstyles, stupid celebrations. I'd put a decent bet on the fact that he has someone analysing the social media reactions to his celebrations to find out which one gets him the most publicity so he can stick to it in future and get it programmed into the next version of FIFA. The worst thing about Pogba is that he actually has immense quality and shows it when he can actually concentrate on his performance for an extended period of time, like he did during Ole's honeymoon period. Sanchez, on the other hand, has just turned into a shit player whereas with Pogba it's just so obvious he could play much better if he tried. But if all of that isn't enough reason then fine, maybe it is because he's black.

  16. Again, David Beckham received the same kind of treatment. New haircut, New outfit, Etc. The media tore him apart and this was well before the 98' incident.

  17. Is being racially abused during a football match not affecting a footballer at work? Is a footballer not at work when they play? You can't just brush racist chanting off because it may not affect you. It's wrong and unacceptable on all levels. Also, you're probably gonna never meet Teso yet you do get so worked up over the Internet whenever he mentions you

  19. You are not alone mate... This week in particular has been a bad one for me personally, had a pretty bad chest infection the past 4 or 5 days and I have been waking up every hour coughing for the last 3 nights and for the life of me can't get any decent sleep and it's been a shift week on for me so I have been drained.. I have also been feeling a bit run down in other respects for the past couple of months and can't quite put my finger on whats wrong.. feel drained of energy and that's not like me at all.. I think having all the kids in the house has not helped as you never seem to get a moments peace and although I love my kids/Grandchildren you just crave a bit of peace and quiet for a change.. I can't help thinking that has something to do with it for me...

  20. Anyone else just randomly start to feel a bit...shit? Even though everything in life seems quite rosy on the outset, I'm not sure if it's worries about work, family, money or just feeling worn down that's got me feeling like this tonight. Last couple of nights' sleep haven't been too great but I can't pinpoint on what it could be. Feel at a bit of a loss at the moment.
