  3. Falcao at his peak wasn't even on the same planet as Gurerro at his peak. He was 10 planets closer to the light of the sun while that little cunt Gurerro was freezing on Plutos moon. You're comparing grapes to sultanas. "Gurerro is better than Pele these days even Brazillians would say so" Shove it up your guinea pigs arse mate

  4. If they snag up Thiago Alcantara that will bring an entire new dynamic to their team. He is an amazing player albeit a little older these days. Liverpool are in the driver's seat, they have to be like the old Man Utd, ruthless, and always pushing for better and better. Fergie didn't let sentimentality slog him down, he'd get rid of a Ruud van Nistelrooy level player just at the right time.

  5. I think this is what @Rick is trying to say but @LFCMadLad sees it as an insult to Klopp or the club If you don't consistently evolve or improve on what you already have, you just become stagnant. But because none of us are involved with the club, we must not speak.

  6. You talk shite. Why are you even a member of this forum if you don’t want to discuss anything? @Stan no more talking about who you want Leicester to sign cause it’s not your decision in the end. @Cicero same with you with Chelsea mate, give up the Telles crack. @DeadLinesman you can stop talking about how you want Lingard to be given a new 5 year deal, it’s up to the officials at the club to make that decision. Shut the website down.

  7. Your opinion is obviously coloured by your fondness of him as a national team hero. A guy who somehow is Peru's best ever goal scorer despite only scoring 0,38 goals per game - exactly the same ratio as Falcao for Colombia funnily enough. There's no arguement for Guerrero. As for club career, not comparable. Guerrero literally peaked at Germany's 4th tier.

  8. Stern John scored 70 goals for Trinidad & Tobago, 36 more than any other player. He is clear of Icardi and Falcao for me as well for what he did for his national team.

  16. I will say though, if Liverpool don't blow a wad of cash on another elite player this year, the team will probably burn out.

  17. If the twenty teams in the premier league held a draft for any player in the world, to a squad limit of 25 (and meeting the squad registration quotas); Paolo Guerrero wouldn't be picked. That is 500 picks, just so you know.

  19. I have some sympathy. Australia produces shit. Pizarro would be the greatest Australian player of all time hands down, Vargas would be as good as any, including Cahill And Schwarzer. And the other 2 would make any Aussie 11 of the last decade. But that doesn't make players better than they are.

  20. I get HAL vibes from it and I also get the feeling it thinks I am in its way and would put me in a box and suffocate me till it finds a more subservient entity to do its bidding haha. Putting all that aside I think its wonderful what the folks at OpenAI are achieving and more importantly the parts where it is able to do machine language translations on its own with some time and not so complex issues. The demos were very simple and the big push for NLP style questions but its working to a certain degree and it will only get better. As developers we may be out of work pretty soon if this keeps up but I figure the market has been shifting for years now and we're at a stage where you really can build something on the internet with no knowledge of computer languages or the platform you're building it on (some website builders do this today anyways). The next logical step here isn't pondering our existence but telling it jokes and seeing how it comprehends them in the context of the joke being told and then we should be both worried and very excited.

  21. Venus has at least 37 recently-active volcanoes It was previously thought that the planet had cooled down too much to show volcanic activity. Venus is home to at least 37 recently-active volcanic structures, a study by researchers at the University of Maryland and the Institute of Geophysics at ETH Zurich has found. It is the first evidence that the interior of the planet is still geologically active. Previous studies have found evidence of a warm interior and ring-like structures known as coronae, which form when plumes of hot material deep inside the planet rise through the mantle layer and crust in a manner similar to the way mantle plumes formed the volcanic Hawaiian Islands. However, it was thought that they were signs of the ancient activity and that the planet had cooled enough to slow down geological activity in the planet’s interior and harden the crust so much that any warm material from deep inside would not be able to puncture through. In the new study, the researchers created models of the thermal activity beneath the surface of Venus to create high-resolution, 3D simulations of coronae formation. They then used these to identify features that are present only in recently-active coronae and looked for similar structures on the surface of Venus. A 3D render showing two coronae observed on the surface of Venus © University of Maryland “This is the first time we are able to point to specific structures and say ‘Look, this is not an ancient volcano but one that is active today, dormant perhaps, but not dead,’” said Laurent Montési, a professor of geology at the University of Maryland. “This study significantly changes the view of Venus from a mostly inactive planet to one whose interior is still churning and can feed many active volcanoes.” A global map of Venus showing active coronae (red) and inactive coronae (white) © Anna Gülcher The active coronae on Venus are clustered together in a handful of locations, which suggests areas where the planet is most active. This may help identify target areas where geologic instruments should be placed on future missions to Venus, such as Europe’s EnVision that is scheduled to launch in 2032. Science Focus

  22. It's not just pundits though, fans, coaches, players. They all admit he's a marvellous player. He's even part of "los 4 fantasticos" which consisted of Farfan, Vargas, Pizarro and Paolo himself. If he was so shite, he wouldn't be in contention with the other 3 who all have had some success in Europe at the least.

  23. I’d say he could hold his own at a Dortmund or an Arsenal type club. But I honestly think he’s happy in Brazil because even at Flamengo, I find it amazing that he turned down Boca Juniors. That’s conspiracy though, you never know!

  25. On the world football stage, I'd still say Europe is better, just because of all the talented countries you have (including the last 4 WC winners), however you also countries with poor facilities and no history that you can beat up with ease if you so desire. Europe also has 43 countries, whereas South America only has 12, so that also has to play a factor in it. Yeah, I do think if Guerrero was as great as you believe, that he'd be signed with some European team much like Ibra was. Teams need to win, and win now.

  26. I understood that from your first post, I'm just curious as to why. I know you have mentioned Guerro at Flemengo, and while I haven't watched him, but I do know is that different leagues and different countries require a different set of skills. Certainly there are players who would dominate everywhere, but just because he plays well in Brazil doesn't mean he can handle Europe. My biggest case in point is Pity Martinez who was the South American POTY, and isn't even in the top 20 best players in the MLS, and not in the Top 3 Best players on Atlanta United.

  30. He blows hot and cold, but he’s very consistent in the final third if that makes sense. Lethal finisher for a midfielder. Type of player that will have a bad game but will still nick a goal.

  35. Personally, I'm not sure I'd say Guerrero is world class myself. He can play for a club like Dortmund or Atletico Madrid for sure, but his finishing is a bit off for him to earn that tag. What I do believe, is he's top 5 forwards in South America. Cavani, Suarez, Aguero and Firmino are better. Can't think of others. Falcao, Vargas, Jesus, Rondon, Zapata and Icardi aren't better.
