“Don’t fuck with Vidic” are words Torres didn’t listen to (at least not until he joined Chelsea). Made that guy look fucking shite tbh

New aerial surveys of Australia's Great Barrier Reef show the most widespread and severe bleaching the coral reef has experienced. The damage follows record high temperatures in February. Scientists at James Cook University have issued a dire warning about the threat posed by climate change to the world's largest living organism and say temperatures over the next month are critical to how the reef recovers.

Probably Storm Francis you're experiencing. I don't think we'd feel the effects of Hurricane Laura just yet? Plus that's hitting Louisiana as opposed to the east coast of USA.

Leicester laughing all the way to the bank yet again.

Very glad I’m not invited to that Argentina one. I’d like to have a beer with @DeadLinesman and @Dr. Gonzo and then later on we would enter @Storts.

Has he got away with it though? He's not done anything of note and isn't regarded as anything special either.

I haven’t seen this but I’ve always thought Nolan was a sloppy director. Big bangs, loud noise, quick cuts, and overwhelming action topped off a pinch of suspense. I’m not saying he is a bad director at all, but definitely a bloke that prefers action to subtlety. Excellent at drawing a person’s attention into being engrossed but I feel upon repeated viewing and a critical eye, his movies tend to not hold water.

Fans are the last priority for the Premier League. They epitomise the shoddy ownership of most clubs. Too blind to see the simple infront of them without someone needing to point it out. The tv companies have more power over the organisation than the fans. Money buys power. We are seeing Sky, BT and Amazon allegedly block more games from being shown on TV. We've already seen BeIN sport allegedly block the Newcastle takeover.

Clearly you've never met anyone from that side of India and some of the surrounding areas. They are very well known for being 'convincing' to put it mildly. Before I forget, they arent too bright either.

Incredible bit of business from Leicester there I think, especially if they're able to flip that money into a replacement along the lines of a Tagliafico esque player. Not convinced that Chilwell is too much more than a player coming off a very good half-season, but at least Lampard is acknowledging that his defence is an area of that team which requires investment. Certainly not a player I'd price at 50m, but he's a young English international who has developed through their youth system. With Maguire going for 80, I'm genuinely a little surprised it's not a higher upfront cost.

Really poor transfer for me, really think Wolves have got an incredible deal here. Actually think he is the best fullback at the the club and his versatility is so useful. Don't see any reason why he couldn't play in the 4, think he's easily good enough.

Did you know Australia and the UK (and Australia) almost went to war in the 1930s? The British Government was pressuring the Australian Government to repay the 'debt' of the military supplies given to Australian to help in WW1. So the UK asks Australia to help with their war, gives them equipment to facilitate involvement, and then expects to be paid back for everything. The Prime Minister wasn't a powerful office at the time and had his hands full with the NSW Premier Jack Lang that outright refused to pay the 'debt' the UK, stating that it was illegal as it would reduce the Australian economy and people to 'slaves' of the UK. The PM was allied with the UK and had the (weakened) military on his books, but Jack Lang had the police on his books, leading to staunch confrontations that luckily never ended in violence. I cannot stress how close the country came to collapsing over this crisis, Lang's actions of moving state money into holding of a private bank (to prevent being funds being paid to the UK) were deemed illegal and his government was dissolved, but not without half of Sydney protesting the result.

Tencent don't want to promote Chinese music, they just want an entry point into an industry that doesn't have too much of their influence or presence right now. Universal offers that entry and over time, like everything else Tencent has put their fingers in, this will branch into other zones just because of how much financial backing the Chinese company has. I give it two years for all this shit to cool down and people to forget that TikTok was once Chinese owned before they start to push more international artists their way and fuck their Chinese music-scene agenda away when it comes to Universal's side of promotion work.

What some advice, delete all forms of social media. I deleted FB, Twitter, Instagram, and only kept LinkedIn. It's an absolute relief and you realize how much more time you have on your hands and how healthier you are not being exposed to assholes who think they know more than experts and just want to stir shit up.

So a white teen with a rifle went to shoot protestors in Kenosha, killed 3 of them, and people say he went to 'maintain order' and Chief Police Officer there says he 'was involved in the use of firearms to resolve whatever conflict was in place'. Not usually the kind of language you hear for a shooter. I'll wait for the 'he was mentally ill' comments maybe. Qwhite interesting.
