  1. Here is the table after 5 rounds this season: Impressive scores in France see @Mel81x and @CaaC (John) jump to joint 2nd on 14 points each, with @nudge also putting herself in the picture in 5th place. Just a reminder again here that @CaaC (John) didn't even take part in the first three rounds . @Viva la FCB retains top spot despite a pointless Ligue 1 round while @DeadLinesman also remains firmly in the mix. 3 points for @Pyfish in the most recent round see him go clear of part-timers @Eco and @Batard at the other end of the table.

  2. Didn't know where to put this, but I've put it in here as it's the only place where it can be reasonably on topic. Plus it's more light hearted and for a laugh really. There was an Amber alert (used for abducted or missing children) sent out in Texas three times, whereby they described the suspect as '28 years old, weighing 16 pounds and 3-foot-1, with red-auburn hair, blue eyes, wearing blue denim overalls with a striped long sleeve shirt and carrying a large knife'. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55925674 Oh dear.

  3. Well, that's me and the wife at a centre and had our jabs, the lady said it was the Oxford whatnot we just had, not allowed to leave until we sit down for 15 minutes, don't mind that but she said no alcohol tonight though, AAAAGGG

  5. Both @Happy Blue and @Storts have been getting away with murder for a long time now, glad someone was brave enough to call them out on it, To be honest though this is just a little tickle compared to what they are like in Mafia games... they do tend to crank it up a notch or two in them..

  10. Hahahahahah This is why Liverpool fans get a bad name. You’re not the first club with an injury crisis. We had one equally as bad last year with our key players but you just get on with it. City have had spells similar too. As have the vast majority of clubs at one time or another

  11. I know. It's just the German in me that needs to clarify things instead of just embracing the humour.

  12. I know what you meant Just in a silly mood. Anyways, @Happy Blue would never recommend eating grain bowls... he'd suggest you to have a whole cow for breakfast, including the udders and everything!

  13. Yeah I don't recommend eating bowls, ceramic is probably not very good for the teeth and it's also hard to digest...

  14. I mean, I do try to have a healthier diet than I had in the past. But I'm not becoming one of those people who watch everything they eat. I enjoy food too much for that. I don't want to become one of those bowl and grain eating freaks.

  27. It’s not just about numbers, it’s about the length of injury. Has any other club had all of their senior CB’s injured for an entire season, and in Matip’s case, half a season. We now have a situation where people are starting to downplay our injury problems by saying “every team has injuries”. Doesn’t sit well with me that, it’s a simplistic way of disregarding our issue. Don’t give me City as an example either, Kompany wasn’t just out for one season, he had issues that affected him for years and City had ample opportunity to replace him. They have also spent hundreds of millions on their defence, so again, not comparable. Long lay offs for Thiago, Keita & Jota as well. And the we have been without Mane, Henderson, Salah, Ox, Fabinho & Allisson for periods throughout the season. So I’m not having this idea of comparing it to teams who had regular injuries and niggles.

  31. Hardly mate, you had Kompany out but you have never had to deal with the sheer amount of injuries to key players at the same time that we have, I don't recall any side being hit as hard as we have been this season. We get VVD, Gomez, Matip, Fabinho, Jota, Alison, Keita and Mane back (and they are just the ones out today) and its last season all over again for City.

  32. I'm starting to find this pretty emotional now to be honest. Personally I've found that the more you can begin to believe that an end to this whole thing is actually going to arrive, the more I've realised just how much worry, anxiety and pain I've repressed over the past year because of there being nothing I can actually do about it, and a fear of getting my hopes up only for some new complication to set us back again. My Nana is the first person really close to me to be getting vaccinated, I've just found out she'll be getting her first jab on Friday and it's triggered this reaction where suddenly I can see a window into the relatively near future where I no longer have that worry at the back of my kind nibbling away at me that I could be the vessel carrying a virus to people I care about that could make them seriously ill or even kill them.

  34. That's what annoys me every time when I hear yet another story of some dog attacking and biting someone "unexpectedly" and "without reason", only to find out that the said dog was pretty much neglected, kept outside in a kennel or even worse, chained, and mostly isolated, with lack of interaction and proper training; especially when it's one of the strong-willed, high-maintenance, boundless energy breeds that are known for needing a lot of daily exercise, socialisation and general attention.

  35. Depends on the dog... I have had 3 German Shepherds in my lifetime and all of them were outdoor dogs and by that I mean we didn't keep them outside just that they enjoyed the run of the garden so we built a big kennel round the side of the house and they spent most of their time in there.. They would come and go in and out of the house in the summer when the doors are mostly open but if they had something like a football kicked over from next doors they would run off with it to the kennel and would be buggers to get in, even at night.. Mooms our Staffie is an indoor dog mostly but in the summer she loves to go to the back of the garden and sit in the sun getting a tan.. if you leave one of the garden deckchairs out there she will lounge on it until she gets too hot then goes and has a lay in the shade until she cools off.. I don't think there is anything wrong with having an outdoor dog if it's a guard dog on a property/site for example but as @nudge said they are pack animals and will always prefer to be around people if it's a family pet..

  38. The WUM here was actually Happy Blue who came to a Liverpool thread and posted about Liverpool being "one season wonders". I'm sure (with you being impartial and all ) he's been accused of being a WUM too? Or are the WUM's on here just newcomers? Storts, another WUM, wasn't he posting about the greatest French midfield player of all time just a week ago? I'm noticing a pattern here. Look again, it was downplayed. "Every club has them" "The vast majority" of clubs have them. Look Stan, I'm not trying to wind anyone up. I wasn't suggesting no other club has ever had multiple injuries, I was stating that this situation that Liverpool have found themselves is unprecedented. The amount of injuries, the length and severity of the injuries to this many key players hasn't happened to the vast majority of clubs at all. You only have to do a quick search to see that when other clubs have been hit it's usually been two or three key players (at the most) not 6 and they have rarely been as long term. Downplaying this injury crisis is nothing new, you see it all the time elsewhere, Christ even Mourinho was at it, did you see his list of injuries that he claimed were as bad as ours? talk about scraping the barrel with squad and youth players being compared with the key players out for us. Once again, I wasn't trying to wind up anyone, but if you are seriously concerned about WUMs on here you might want to nip them in the bud, even if it's a long time contributor on here doing the winding up.

  39. I understand the wastage bit but for my scenario, I think it was all arranged via invites (like with others) as they had them at the Cardiff City Stadium. Got no issues with them having it, but was getting a tad annoyed when they were having it and my nan (nearly 90) was still waiting for hers at the time.
