  1. It’s my 30th on April 15th and I’m allowed to book this private room for me and a few friends.... happy days! Booked it from midday till 10pm. Get locked in and I’m not moving! Music as loud as we want.... fridge for as many beers as we want. Local takeaways nearby Perfect timing with restrictions easing 3 days before!

  2. Being a bit old school I wouldn't use dating aps for meeting people I just prefer the old fashioned meet in person at a bar/club etc but I appreciate it's a changing landscape for younger people these days... I wouldn't read too much into it @Gunnersauraus, just move on and see if you can find someone else...

  3. Yeah, I couldn't get with an ex of my mate. Discussed this with my best man a few years ago, he split with the mother of his son and she was going into the local pub and openly flirting with our friends. There is a unwritten rule you leave it alone.

  4. The problem with dating sites. They are generally talking to several other people when they are talking to you. She might have thought she was being nice by trying to be honest but I wouldn't be offended mate, you can't be the perfect guy for everyone. But you will be someone's perfect guy eventually. My advice, don't look for love on a dating site.

  5. It’s just a storage Unit on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Dingle Town. And about 10 minute drive from where I live! There will be plenty of these private rooms around the country. I still have a key in to the place I used to go that much. I love playing snooker/pool, having a beer and watching sports without some cunt coming up and putting 50p down on your table saying he’s playing the winner.

  8. Chicago has outperformed all my expectations. I'll break it down player by player. Patrick Kane - second best player in the league and gets better with age. It's really freaky Kubalik a 2nd/3rd line forward that has hugely upped his game and has added assists to his goals DeBrincat was snakebitten but has gone back to his sniper self. an easy 30/40 goal season player if he doesn't drop off hugely again dach is back and i forgot how huge he is. potential #1 centre but he is still young strome is turning into a well rounded, if unremarkable #2 or #3 centre, he has upside janmark was a steal, could have twice as many goals if he could score on shorthanded 1v1s, he seems to get one a game only to miss boqvist, mitchell, and beaudin are three young dmen that if they develop properly will be a core. boqvist has a wicked shot but the latter two are a little more well rounded lankinen is a huge goalie out of nowhere, but he is finnish so you'll either get three shutouts in a row or he'll be blown up 5-0 on the first five shots keith has looked better, i know you don't like him and think he is dirty but he very rarely commits penalties, in vancouver his career is defined by an elbow but that is uncharacteristic really. hugely reliable and calming. still very good. kurashev, hagel, and suter are rookies that could have huge upside especially as depth forwards. super fast, super hard working, and they all chip in points. exactly the sort of players you want on a third line, maybe even pushing for the second. soderberg is just a great veteran to have murphy and zadorov are big bodied dmen that can chip in some points and goals every now and then basically I have only positive things to say about nearly every player. sad that seabrook retired, and the rumour around chicago is that toews has ALS. Unless it's a flash in the pan and everything is actually shit with a gold coat of paint, BHawks are transitioning into a nice new core. The only thing I'm scared of is transitioning from Kane, he isn't replaceable.

  10. Well that's a blanket phrase if ever I saw one. There are millions of shy people out there, bit disrespectful and a major assumption to say that someone at the age of 23 shouldn't be shy. The world is made up of many different people, we're all wired up differently and getting through life at our own pace - if anything people who say they've been with millions of girls make me laugh, because IMO it just shows that you've got low standards and are incapable of pleasing someone in the long term.

  11. Meh, I wouldn't beat yourself up about it. It's not the be all and end all, just be yourself and the right person will come along.

  12. If the worst happened and I ended up single I'd probably use dating sites - be arsed going into clubs and such to find someone, I think it'd be much easier and quicker to find a match based on a pretty good algorithm and crack on from there. Due to my circumstances I've never had to use a site (met the wife when I was 18) but yeah, don't see why some people are so against dating sites and don't understand the stigma that surrounds them. I think you've got to know where you're signing up too, if you're looking for true love on the likes of Tinder then you're on the wrong app well known to just be a shagging portal.

  13. I'd hate to imagine what I'd be like with dating sites. Without blowing my own trumpet too much I never struggled and I was a proper little player before I met my wife. I defo would have used it for hook ups and given how obsessed with women I was I think I'd have been seeing a different one ever fucking night.

  14. Again, it depends on the site. There are sites, successful ones, whos design is to find your soul mate. Of course there are times when they are seeing 3 to 4 other people, as should you until you find the right one.

  15. Of course there are success stories but for every success stories but let's be honest most are using them sites as a Knocking shop. I know lads that have had four or five women on the go at once so I'd imagine there are women doing the same. You might think you're in but then some gym head, good looking lad will come along and she might lose interest.

  25. It depends what you mean by anti-Chinese. From what you've said, I've taken it as more that she's very sceptical of China, the country and their government, etc. If she's actually prejudiced against people of a Chinese/Asian ethnic background then yes that would be a pretty major concern. I think quite a large proportion of their generation think it's okay to say stuff like that. It doesn't make them bad people. From their point of view, they're a lot more tolerant than their own parents' and grandparents' generations and they've passed on the world to us in a better state than it was in terms of tolerance and equality when they were our age. That also doesn't make it okay, but when people get to that age I just think it's basically impossible to influence their world view. And most of the time, their world view is more that it's okay to make comments like that, not that they actually hold serious prejudice against minorities. As long as they don't go around saying stuff to peoples' faces or acting on those views in any way, I think you have to take that as a win. If it's something you feel that you want or need to do something about, I think you're better off trying to positively influence your mates and people in your own generation, and doing your best to set a good example to the ones that follow.
