  1. From my experience, you either drink coffee, and by proxy are extremely sophisticated, or you drink fizzy caffeine drinks, and are thusly a Neanderthal. So am I to assume that you're a closet Red Bull fan?

  2. Bayern have decided not to pay the players quarantined because they're unvaccinated ( Gnabry, Musiala, Kimmich, Choupo-Moting, and Cuisance) their wages for the quarantined time. While that's possible under German laws since November, the 1st of this year, it's not sure said law will withstand, when being contested at German high courts.

  5. If Utd had any sense (not shown much of it in the last ten years) they would go for Poch right now. He would bin off PSG without question, and considering he only has about 18-20 months on his contract it wouldn’t cost the earth to pay for his release. Surely rather than a pointless interim, you bring him in and he has plenty of time to look at his squad ahead of next summer.

  7. When I used to smoke cigs it was Benson and Hedges or Embassy. If people went aboard I'd get them to bring back Dunhill via duty free. The cheaper brands just used to taste rank as fuck.

  8. I think its totally fair personally. I hope it makes them think long and hard about getting vax'd. It causes enough problems for logistics domestically let alone when their called up by national teams... somethings gotta give here.

  9. I only smoked off and on as a social smoker (being in a band did that) for a couple years in my late teens/early 20's. Never really got hooked and at some point I decided it wasn't as cool as it seemed. My father-in-law smoked for 40 years and had to quit due to COPD, etc. He was in the hospital for a few weeks and when he came out he never picked up another cigarette. Now he just smokes pot. I also had a boss that quit cold turkey after smoking for 30 plus years. If they can do it, anyone can.

  13. Given the line-up, it looked like we set up to play defensive (5 defenders incl. 2 WBs) and then Soumare and Ndidi to sit deep as 'protection'. The protection was about as useful as a chocolate teapot and the front 3 as a 'counter' didn't really work either. The supply to them was non-existent. Said a lot that when Maddison came on, he was getting in decent positions and it gave us another player in your half/final third. I think it was just general mindset and showed way too much respect to your team. It was very easy to overcome given your talent of midfield (Jorginho/Kante ran us ragged). In the first minute the wing-backs (Chilwell especially) kind of had a free license to just run forward and get on the end of/create opportunities without being marked or followed.

  14. A new one after a while... Dolphin Nebula (Sh2-308) & Wolf-Rayet star EZ Canis Majoris. Taken with a 50cm F3.6 reflector telescope using narrowband filters (HOO), processed with DeepSkyStacker and PS. 2 hours total observation time.

  17. Think I had too much of it before and my body just straight out rejects caffeine now... Basically, some 6 years ago I started noticing that I got a tiny bit dizzy almost every time I drank coffee, but I didn't think much of it. Then, one day I had a light breakfast and a cup of coffee at the hotel bar in the morning, went back to my room, and about 20 minutes later, I felt so ill I thought I was having a heart attack dizziness, extreme weakness, knot in the stomach, cold sweat, heart pounding, tunnel vision... Drank like 3 liters of water in the next half hour to flush it all out, and then all was more or less back to normal, although I still felt tired for the rest of the day. After that, I didn't drink any coffee for about half a year, tried it afterwards (just a few sips), and got that light dizzy feeling again, so I stopped completely. I do drink decaf from time to time now, but it's not the same So it's just water for me now.

  18. Smokey beer is just wrong. Should have warned @Tommy before trying Schlenkerla. Sorry!

  19. Also not beer related: For me, Macallan's fine, but so stupidly overpriced for what it is these days (their old stuff used to be phenomenal, but the new production...not particularly). It’s just a brand name at this point. I also love smooth, sherried whiskies, but Macallan is never my first choice. I can't handle coffee since I turned 30
