  2. Flying back today - but I’ll this has probably been the best holiday I’ve ever been on. Maui is absolutely incredible. Here’s a pic of the sun rising above the clouds from the highest point on the island. And a cool shot from the coolest hike I went on the trip.

  4. I think it demoralises teams when you know you need about 4 or 5 chances to beat Alisson. Bloke is an absolute joke sometimes, saved his team today.

  5. Don’t think Stan has made any secret that he’s not particularly fond of our club, but that doesn’t mean he has some agenda against the city of Liverpool like TAD always tried to make out. And even if he does hate our club and not City, who cares? Why does it matter? I hate Man Utd and have absolutely rinsed them over refereeing calls while staying silent on similar contentious calls for other clubs. I have grown up watching them win everything, and have everything go for them, and whether it’s the same with City nowadays my hate for Utd is already ingrained from a young age. We all grew up watching the same era of football. There was no City back then being dodgy cunts and winning it all, so people grew up to hate other teams like Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and our own team.

  6. Jean-Claude Mézières, a reknowned French comics artist and illustrator, has passed away today Most famous for his Valérian artwork and ongoing contributions to Métal Hurlant (the original Heavy Metal), his artwork also inspired a lot of sci-fi movies - most notably the Star Wars franchise. Some of the influences in Star Wars looks like a straight out rip off of his earlier work: Also, his concept art for the Fifth Element:

  8. Not just because of the goal, but Silva has been remarkable for Chelsea. World class defenders such as him and JT was another one who apply themselves correctly add invaluable experience in their latter years. Just shows it's not all about the legs.

  10. I went on Twitter to see the perception and these are the first three tweets . Nobody in the ground thought it was a penalty, none of the Liverpool fans appealed, the players jogged away for a goal kick, the standard of refereeing in this county has been at a crisis stage for far too long. Shame really as it killed our momentum.

  12. A long time but I'm quite up for it this time. I think I've done European leagues to death and truth be told I found that Deportivo save a little easy all considered - I'm quite experienced and decent at the game now but I shouldn't be able to make them comfortable champions in seven seasons. Maybe it is just experience, don't know how others feel. There is the very real possibility that this is binned off within a couple of seasons but I'm really hoping not it has been done before.

  13. We are so unbelievably fucked. Moshiri has learned absolutely nothing and I'm again left asking the question of how a man who has had as much success in the business world doesn't see a problem with interviewing a manager with that manager's actual fucking agent sat at his right hand. A bunch of morons on Twitter have dug out enough information on this Kia character in the last 48 hours and everywhere his name appears, disaster follows. QPR, 1860 Munchen, Corinthians. Does this great business mind of ours do no due diligence? No research into the track record of the people he associates himself with? Moshiri must be unbelievably well connected in his other business ventures because fuck me, I wouldn't trust him to hold my drink for me while I went for a piss for fear of ending up roofied. Our club has been hijacked by an absolute lunatic. Kenwright is culpable for it too having turned down multiple offers to buy the club because he was "waiting for the right one for Everton". In other words, he was waiting for someone who would buy the club but let him stay on as chairman, and he managed to find the one guy in the world rich enough to buy a football club yet incompetent enough to make Bill look like a voice of reason in comparison.

  18. My lead at the top is gradually increased by a couple of points as I breach the 300-point mark. In mid-table, @Foxc1 got the highest score by some way, with 19 points and a very good prediction of Southampton 1-1 Man City. @Lucas jumped in to 4th spot with 15 points, and @Dan also went up a place with the same score.

  20. Mixed feelings about him... Thought he was superb to open up and create that goal for Ziyech, excellent play there, I just wish he was a little more decisive in the final third and he can get brushed off the ball a bit easily at times.. Been a good solid game from us today though and we got the much needed win we needed.. Spurs are always welcome at the Bridge..

  21. We got a 49inch LG a couple of years back, they are better quality than the name might suggest.. still works fine and the picture is quality, 4K as well... My daughter sometimes plays games on it with the X Box, set me back about £450 at the time on sale, you would probably not have to pay much more than £300-350 for a 40 inch I would have thought if you shop around.. I am no tv expert by any stretch but the ones we have had in the LG range have served us well...

  22. Doesn't matter whether it's a TV or a coat, name means nothing to me! As long as it does the job. It's crazy how you can overpay just for a logo. Ideally no more than £4/500.

  26. Didn’t realise the figures were as high as they were, in all honesty, so that was the first surprise when I saw this on his twitter feed. I mean, it doesn’t affect me but I wouldn’t be bothered either if they said that they were actively going to avoid this issue from occurring, going forwards.

  28. I only saw the last 30 minutes, so I missed us playing well and kind of just watched us get very lucky. Shame Virgil doesn’t really seem to be the same player anymore - don’t get me wrong, I still think he’s a very good CB… but it’s just not the same. I guess to be expected given the nature of his injury. And that penalty decision hilariously bad, VAR’s usage at times is just fucking stupid. I’d be so angry if I were a Palace fan, but I’m not. I will take being lucky and getting the 3 points any day of the week.

  30. The going over to the monitor thing needs to get in the bin as well. Complete waste of time. They're trying to appease critics who don't like the VAR overruling the on field referee without him being able to change his own mind after being given 'advice'. It's infinitely more insulting to the audience to carry on with it when everyone watching knows that the decision has been made and the on field referee is wasting everyone's time for the sake of pretending he's changing his own mind.

  37. Played Real Madrid twice (and won both), played Barcelona twice (took 4 points), played Athletic twice (1 win, 1 loss, though we thrashed them at home so win on head to head). We have got to play the teams from 5th-8th but it's a kind run in really. We've also got to play three of the bottom five and they're all dog shit. We can't blow this. It would be an embarrassment to bottle it from here. Only caveat is La Liga's become very weak it's actually losing a PL space next season due to the dire performance of the league in Europe. We're at the quarters of all tournaments and not a single Spanish side is left in. We got knocked out of the CL by Chelsea, which was totally fair enough - we gave them a very good game though. Moussa Dembele has been immense as well. We create loads of chances. I play 4-3-1-2 on this version, don't know about you lot but it feels almost FM17 level overpowered.

  39. Idris Elba looks too old though has the right personality. As Bond was a cold war invention having a black lead seems kind of wrong to me. There have been black action series before like Shaft and the Equaliser with Denzil Washington not sure why Bond should become Black, Asian or even a woman. Just seems like appeasement to political correctness instead of sticking to the brand.
