  1. Just a bunch of weird shit. He's definitely got a weird megalomaniacal streak. Like a Rangers fan getting out their car in the middle of traffic to thank him for what he's doing for the game up here. Or his heartwearming story (told at the launch of his autobiography) of Danny McGrain (legendary fullback and backroom coach) asking Rodgers if he still had a job when he first arrived. Rodgers supposedly assured him "so long as I'm here, you're here". The only problem is Danny McGrain has no recollection of this happening.

  2. Oh I have 0 doubts that it would ever come to fruition and for good reason.. Something that drastic of a change isnt even necessary and protecting traditions are important in sport imo. Still an interesting idea and Im glad they do talk about things like this even if its for 5 minutes and 1 person in the room is for it and then you fire that person into the sun.

  3. Honestly doubt the majority of German football fans would accept it, let alone embrace. Think it's just an idea, that will ultimately don't come to fruit like the one Rummenigge had regarding DFB-Pokal. PS: For those, who didn't know or forgot- a few years ago Bayern requested a DFB-Pokal reform demanding the better Buli sides having byes in the first round and to be seated, so they couldn't face each other until the quarters. That proposal was voted down on DFB annual meeting, Expecting this proposition to suffer the same fate.

  4. Vettel literally bottled every single title fight he was a part of as long as you don't count the four that he won.

  5. The usual suspects 9/10 Brilliant movie, still love it even though I know the film already. The wife didn't so it was fun waiting for her shock at the end. The greatest trick the devil ever did was making the world believe he didn't exist...... Then puff, like that he was gone! Always loved those lines, great film.

  10. https://www.kicker.de/kahn-ueber-play-offs-ich-finde-es-spannend-889491/artikel I'm a little surprised to hear Kahn say this. I'm even more surprised to see the comments from other clubs (Augsburg, Union, Bochum) reject the idea entirely. Tradition seems to be more important than an outside shot at winning a title. I'm torn on this subject. I understand the reasoning, both for and against, for end-of-season playoffs. There's a lot of hatred out there for the American sports model and I have to agree that having a lengthy regular season is meaningless if you're going to implement a playoff at the end.

  12. I haven't as I want to see how it goes first. Sounds promising in fairness, though don't be surprised if the release date is pushed back again.

  13. These Club World Cup matches are surprisingly tough imo. But it makes sense, the side's usually traveling a much longer distance than you typically would for any other match... and you're up against opposition typically that doesn't get to face a side like Chelsea in a competitive match ever. So they're usually well up for it while the European side can sometimes look complacent because they should (and usually do) have the quality to beat those sides before the final even if you don't play that well. And the quality of the Saudi sides is actually a lot higher than it was not too long ago. They've quietly done with Saudi football what China attempted to do - but imo more successfully, even if it was a lot less flashy and in your face about the large sums of cash they throw at players and managers.

  14. That's actually a really good question. I found this article: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/19/health/kidney-transplant-pig-human.html#:~:text=Pigs offered advantages over primates for organ procurement, been used as temporary grafts for burn patients. They say that using pigs offers advantages over using primates for the organs because they're: easier to raise, the organs are ready quicker in the pig's lifetime, and it's viewed as a more "sustainable source" for organ procurement. That article also taught me that pig organs were used in transplants into monkeys and baboons before they were with people.

  15. This is how it used to load up... line by line until the game screen was full then it would play the game... Codemasters used to knock these out at about £1.99 per cassette... they went from tapes to floppies when the Amiga & Atari ST were knocking about...

  16. Strange to ask Vettel about a title fight when he's only ever bottled them, even with the most dominant car .
