  2. You'd think teams would learn their lesson after the Euro final. So stupid to put a player on into a huge pressure moment when they were sat on the bench 5 minutes earlier. Like it's literally entry level psychology. It's a good win for Man Utd but watching them, I still feel like they're missing something to win the title. Time will tell.

  5. Nobody predicted Hamburg would win in Bremen. Eco's Aue 1-4 Paderborn forecast was the prediction of the matchday. 6. The wife had a ladies night around our daughters, bottles of wine, a Chinese take-away and watching a film, lucky she checked her bag when leaving for the taxi as Puddin had decided to settle in it for the night and that bought back memories when one of the pet rats (Zoom) did the same a few months back and the wife nearly took Zoom home with her in the bus.

  7. Palm is Belgian, so no surprise there It was one of the main choices for parties in our student halls in Holland, and we used to get cases of it from the nearby Spar just a few meters away Quite surprised you haven't heard of Schlenkerla though, to be honest! A very traditional brewery with a very unique taste profile. Literally like drinking a BBQ

  8. With a couple of lower scores at the top end of the table, it's meant that there becomes a very small margin from top down to the mid-table sections. @Reluctant Striker hangs on to top spot, but myself and @6666 both go up a place. @Rucksackfranzose, @The Liquidator & @Tzeentch all go up a couple of spots. But incredibly there are now only 6 points separating 1st spot down to 10th. Further down the table, @JONO's score of 14 takes him up a few spots to 21st as others scored lowly. Special mention for @Eco for being the only one to predict Brighton's 2-1 victory over Leicester correctly.

  9. Results - Gameweek Five Casualties (4) The numbers are finally whittled down to single figures this weekend, with the pain starting on Friday night for @The Palace Fan, who backed Leeds United to win at St. James' Park. Bielsa's men drew first blood through Raphinha but were denied the three points required by the competition when Allan Saint-Maximin struck back. The shock of the weekend came among the 3pm kick-offs when Man City failed to break down Southampton's resistance, the 0-0 draw costing @Stan and @Pugwash a spot in Gameweek Six. Finally, @Khan of TF365 was the only Sunday casualty, backing Leicester in their 2-1 defeat to Brighton on the south coast. Unlucky chaps. A very respectable 4-pointer in this round to start the season and a mass exodus in the next Gameweek could still see you nick a bonus point for joint 3rd, you never know... See you in the next round! Survivors (8) The majority of our remaining contenders were counting their lucky stars this weekend, having made it this far without using up their Liverpool chip. @RandoEFC, @Eco, @CaaC (John), @DeadLinesman, @Bluewolf and @Michael were all beneficiaries of their 3-0 Anfield win over Crystal Palace. @Pyfish went in another direction, backing Watford with confidence that they could inflict a 5th successive defeat on Norwich at Carrow Road, a brace from Ismaila Sarr helping to see him over the line as the only player left with both of their Man City and Liverpool cards to play. Finally, @Storts prepared for Tottenham's 3-0 thumping by Chelsea on Sunday afternoon by making Tuchel's men his pick for this set of fixtures. A tough day for Spurs fans but at least he books his place in Gameweek Six. Congratulations to all, some big scores are heading our way, but with most players whittling down the traditional 'banker' options, who can survive the longest? Please go ahead and make your picks for the sixth Gameweek. Preview - Gameweek Six Below is your updated table along with the next set of fixtures. Do double-check which teams you have already used as I reserve the right to be a lazy bastard and not check before it's too late. My pick for Gameweek Six is Leicester.

  21. From hazy memories of Liverpool's past, Henderson seems more comparable to Steve McMahon than Steve Gerrard. For a long time Gerrard was Liverpool's star man, not just captain & main CM. Henderson as an individual doesn't seem like he's at the same level as Gerrard. But this team is obviously the best it's been for Liverpool since Rush, Barnes, Hansen, McMahon, Grobelaar, etc.

  22. The speed at which top flight football is played, some people will move after the whistle just cos of their momentum - I think that rule would just give loads of people yellow cards for no reason and make VAR even more annoying

  27. I'm stating facts, I don't troll, I leave that to the professionals like you. 52 thousand average attendance my arse, there were tickets available all over the stadium yesterday an hour before the game. Someone posted a image of your ticket availability page off your club website. Your alleged average is as legit as your alleged wage bill. All fabricated for a reason. As for last night, unfortunately that's the only part of any of your posts that is factually true.

  31. Godfather. Goodfellas is a classic, but Godfather is the best of its kind and probably the most influential film ever made. Some crazy stories behind what was happening with the real mafia when Godfather was made, including the Mafia giving the films producers a strict set of rules that they adhered to. Joe Columbo the head of the Columbo family told them the term Cosa Nostra wasn't to be used.

  32. Funny you say that I've got some City supporting mates and they say that was their favourite period for away days etc... My old man also says the same about the season we spent down in the old division 2. Like you say grounds you never visit and you also take huge numbers. Personally I get where Pep was coming from but it wasn't something a manager should address as it felt like he was questioning the support. Its a fact City don't fill that stadium often, City fans hate it hence why every fan of other clubs enjoy hitting them with that fact. He knows the club isn't that big really, he knows the money pumped in is the only reason you are now competing at the top table of World football. He didn't need to ram it home so other clubs could would ridicule you more.

  38. Marvel cinematic universe is very literally based around social justice, superheros, good and bad etc, not sure how people can get annoyed that a series based on the concept of good and bad has suddenly become more "woke". Marvel films as a whole can be cringey and there were definitely some forced moments you see and close your eyes at, but that's less about the message and more about a genre of American culture that has zero understanding of subtlety. One thing I will say though, away from the irony of Disney being a world leader in capitalism whilst also trying to deliver social commentary, was the scene at the end of Endgame where all the female characters banded round Captain Marvel was sick as fuck. It was clearly a forced move but more so in that Marvel have for a long time ignored stories centring around characters that aren't white or male and most, if not all, of the women in that scene will go onto have much bigger roles within the MCU than they already do. I did find watching Falcon and Winter Soldier that the socialist bad guys routine seemed a bit forced and very cringey...but again, Marvel films are drenched in cringe moments so it's not something that will get me worked up. On a side note, glad you enjoyed Loki. I loved it personally, great casting, look forward to the next series.
