  1. It's a mistake on par with Thiago in my opinion
  2. No Aguero? Also, I think Grimaldo would be a great option at LB for you guys. He's a La Masia product and captained Barca B before leaving for Benfica, so I'm sure Pep would have him on the radar, as he fits the profile Pep would be looking for to a tee. The only reservation about him is that he's just 21 and doesn't have much top flight experience.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/may/30/ernesto-valverde-barcelona-nou-camp-stone-roses?CMP=share_btn_tw When Pep Guardiola left Barcelona, he made two recommendations to be his successor. One was Tito, the other was Ernesto Valverde. Johan Cruyff also highly rated Valverde and always wanted him to one day coach Barcelona.
  4. According to him, he's taking the Guardiola route and taking a rest from the game. Understandable, as he just took one of the most stressful jobs in football that makes you age 40 years in 3
  5. I think you should laugh after he becomes the big player you guys are hoping he becomes, not now, because as of now he's nothing more than a really talented 16 year old with a lot of potential, nothing different from Odegaard a couple years ago. The huge investment needs to be justified and he needs to not waste away and fade into nothingness before you could laugh at the fact that he chose to go there. Because if he becomes Odegaard 2.0, maybe it's us who should be laughing.
  6. Seeing Messi play for any other European football club is a fantasy for a minority of people that won't come to pass This board that Barcelona has now has done many stupid, stupid things and will continue to do so as long as they are in charge, but doing what you're suggesting would be absolutely criminal and would definitely cement their place as the worst board in FC Barcelona history. Not to mention it will cause anarchy and chaos in Barcelona as fans will riot and will want the board's head for doing the unthinkable. The only other club you'd see Messi playing for would be Newell's Old Boys, most likely at the end of the contract that he's going to sign this summer. Barcelona are prepared to deal with the tough transition period post-Messi, and as for the money, it's not as if we're exactly poor. And besides, Neymar definitely won't be playing his entire career here, mostly because of the influence of that father of his, but hopefully we get the best years of his career and manage to cash in when we could still get a record deal for him, and that's where we'll be running straight to the bank with loads of money. And most likely this will happen while Messi is still here, too. So, yeah, he's not going anywhere.
  7. Trinidad & Tobago have a really promising team, and no we won't make the 2018 World Cup, because we're the whipping boys in the Hex, but we will make the 2022 World Cup.
  8. Yeah the current board is rather incompetent. But they're not going anywhere right now unfortunately, so we just need to hope that they surprise us this summer
  9. It promises to be a pretty key and big summer ahead. Can't wait to see who the new coach is and what we do transfer-wise. It's going to be exciting, and hopefully we get it right.
  10. Manchester City have been such an enigma this season It isn't that they haven't been playing well, but their inability to finish chances and of course their terrible defense costs them wins. But now that Guardiola's had a season to implement his style ( and they are playing his style really good now ), he needs a good summer, clearing out all the dead wood and bringing in new players that he feels suits his style. There'll be an exodus at City this summer. And I feel once that's done, it's only then City will start reaching the levels everyone expected them to reach with Pep as coach.
  11. I love this gesture. And even more so that they revealed it on the day that would have been his birthday, too! I hope they can win the Europa League in further honour of the great man himself.
  12. Are the reports about Tuchel and him having rows with players and the management, with some players issuing an "Us or him" ultimatum, actually true?
  13. Haha yeah, the "elite" part may be stretching it, but he's certainly a good player and he would do well if he goes back to Sevilla. For him personally too, that's a move he can only gain from doing.
  14. PS4: nxchosaur ( Yeahhh...don't ask where that came from, I don't even know myself )
