Seeing as Van Dijk excels quite clearly under interceptions which is generally a part of the game that seperates the good from the best due to intelligence to read a game required I can’t see how those statistics suggest Maguire is better? The statistics in themselves are selective anyway and you’re lying to yourself if you believe Sky are trying to correctly analyse the players rather than throw up stats from both players strengths to create at debate Also it’s well known that it’s more difficult to analyse a defender statistically as a lot of the work a good defender does can’t as easily be collated and marked down as a specific stat compared to a striker for example. The stats available are definitely not being interpreted correctly or shared by Sky Sports as we already know Van Dijk is better than Maguire. The masses aren’t interested in further statistical analysis to prove that point, but put an image trying to portray that it might be a lot closer and shock horror a pointless debate kicks off Honestly this topic is about 90% spam, no wonder people barely post in it other than every now and then when a Pogba debate kicks off

You do definitely...fit the team around was the wrong term just meant a club your size would be more accomodating to him than United. Obviously with the likes of Maddison and Tielmans you’re not screaming out for Jesse Lingard

Lingard is a good player just not good enough for where United want to be. He’d fit in better at a club like Everton or West Ham because I think if he stays in a team consistently he’ll start scoring and assisting. Only thing is his wages which won’t lower much

I like AWB’s defensive abilities but there’s more to a full back than defending and TAA is phenomenal going forward for such a young player, the defensive displays can be worked on. Youve only got to look at someone like Marcelo who was a massive liability at first at Real Madrid and was moulded into one of the finest wing backs in the world defensively and offensively

Realistically there’s no room for Lingard currently but you never know I’m surprised youd go TAA over Walker, think Walker is our best right back by a distance Rose has been playing for Spurs so I assume he’ll start

At full fitness he’s probably number 3 on the list at the moment but it’s good to have such good depth in the team now. Walker-Peters at Spurs looking good too, crazy to to think what some of our options have been in the last ten years since the golden generation split apart

Internationals coming up soon, how do we think we’re looking? I’ve liked the look of Max Aarons but we’ve got enough right backs currently. Mason Mount surely to get some game time? Probably too soon for Jack Grealish to be called up. Expect to see Rashford and Lingard on the bench Could be some new additions Kane Sterling - Mount/Maddison - Sancho Henderson/Winks - Barkley/Foden Chillwell/Rose - Maguire - Stones - Walker Pickford

Konsa out for £12m, Maupay out for £20m and Benrahma still (happily) at the club. Mbuemo in, Valencia in and Thompson in on top of our transfers already. We’re a bit light for natural centre forwards, but we’ve got a lot of cover in Watkins, Forss, Marcondes and Mbuemo. It seems as if Benrahma is happy to stay with us and not go abroad so I’m happy with how our window has turned out. No idea how our starting eleven will look, a lot of competition
