Suppose you've gotta take into account people living in the city and people living outside of it as that'll be where the difference is.

I know there's been a lot of criticism of Mourinho and rightly so in terms of style of play, throwing players under the bus etc etc. But what's the view on Woodward? Surely he can't be with a job for too much longer either? As someone who has overseen the transition from Alex Ferguson, the lack of continuity has been amazing. I know Ferguson probably had a large hand in getting Moyes the job, but they have gone from a manager best known for rapid wing play, an attacking mentality where players can play technically sound long balls and a short passing game as well...to a manager who'd never won anything, was known for his pretty boring but resilient Everton sides, to a manager who's philosophy was to pass the ball around the pitch but lacked direction and attacking intent, back to a manager who's known for resilient football, albeit with a lot more league titles to his name, and general defensive and direct/physical play. There has been an amazing lack of continuity at the club. Youre meant to be appointing a DoF, is that Woodward instructed or part of a greater change including him? How has Ferguson influenced the previous managerial selections if at all? There's no way you appoint a DoF to set up a defensive based, physical, attackingly restrictive football brand of football. Has a DoF actually been interviewed/set up or is it just rumour at the moment?

This may be of entertainment you @carefreeluke @The Rebel CRS but when I was in Paris with the missus for a long weekend we'd decided not to use English and see how far we got on my very bad French and what she remembered of A-Level French. We'd managed to work out how to ask for some food and a drink and so I went up to a food van along the River Seinne giving it my best French, I asked for some food, a Coke and some water. I got to the word water though and completely forgot how the French said it, so instead of reverting to English I went for a potluck shot and reverted the years of Portuguese I heard my auntie speaking to my little cousin and asked for "Aqua" instead Needless to say it wasn't the correct terminology but she understood anyway and cracked a laugh at my poor attempt to speak French and no English. I generally find as long as you give it a go respecting local culture people respond well, like Luke said there are cunts everywhere.

You just don't take someone like Kane off, our only proper world class player. That's Vardy's biggest problem. -

He was no worse than Lingard or Dele. Just needed more time. -
Before I'd come travelling I'd only ever been as far north as Birmingham in England. I could give you a list of countries with various people that I've met, and each list would probably at least be double the amount of northerners I'd ever met

That's because no one likes a northern accent In fairness it's a different world down south, mostly around London tbh. Where abouts are you?

Feel like we should have brought Vardy on a lot sooner and a more often than we did at the World Cup, which suggests to me Southgate won't use him that much going forward. -
You'd need something specific to focus it on, if it's just done in general then there are probably a lot of blogs about like that. Maybe focus on something statistics based if not already something done, maybe an indepth look at your style of play and tactics that maybe gets a generalised view in other blogs. Maybe try a comedic angry man rambling on a backbone of common sense/logical thinking.

In fairness mate I have a habit of taking things at face value instead of reading between the lines Thats it, I'd rather not come home from work to complain about work but once I start doing that it generally means I need a new job. I imagine your outlook becomes a lot more serious once you get kids involved, overtimes almost worth it when it pays for your kids holidays, clothes etc

You make some valid points regarding promotions and if I were after progress in a company then overtime would be one way to do that. But I'm a backpacker with no family responsibilities out to enjoy myself on the otherside of the world, not progress within a company that even down to management level couldn't give a toss about me as long as their customers aren't moaning at them. I work the hours I'm contracted to and then I go home, if I'm forced to constantly do overtime in a job I don't really like where I'm not respected then I'm going to find something new. I know there are people out there who would scoff at me mentioning having to work what is essentially 3-4 hours overtime per week, people who work 60, 70, 80+ hours in a week and they may think I need to toughen up but I just think they're mugs with no lives. Because you can't have a life if work is it and if doing all of that means you get to have a mortgage or a fancy car then someone's mugging you off somewhere. I have no child, no wife, no house to have to pay for, so I also have no patience for shit jobs trying to mug me off with overtime regardless of how much or how little. I've worked night shifts cleaning shit from toilets straight through weekends, have worked on the bins (4:30am wake up, 6:00am start), have worked in warehouses, factories, call centres and building sites. Done all of those jobs that are best described as mundane but if I can come home from work and some ask how it was, and can just respond "it was work" rather than a load of bitching about a manager or some twat then right now I'll be very happy. But life is too short to handcuff yourself to a shit job on shit hours. And if you throw somewhere into that mix a family member committing suicide a few weeks prior to walking out of your job then that probably explains the irritability about it too.

Ah yeah Skyfall, Spectre was the inspector gadget style one wasn't it?

Your stadium has a stand called the Kop? Your entire stadium is a Kop.

Fury's dad had a pop at Wilder, it's more like a soap opera. But it sells.
-
It's all a pantomime, want to see some real hatred out there. Mike Tyson style.
-
Spectre was a masterpiece for me, but the last one was absolute gash. Prefer Mission Inpossible myself.
-
Feel like this fight is far too soon for Fury, but he's been known to step up to the competition ahead of him so who knows. I'd have a fighting fit Fury beat Wilder, but now it'll probably be a lot closer. Either way this will set up a mega fight with AJ.

James Bond has been portrayed by 7 different actors over the course of 50 years in a continuous time line and most recently in Spectre was alluded to that 007James Bond is a job role, not a specific person. The flip side to people wanting gender flipping and race switching are people desperate for straight white male actors to spearhead their favourite films. The 7 different actors all look completely different from each other, there is no conceivable way they can be considered the same person from James Bond's timeline to the physical appearances of the actors playing them. The defence that Bond can't be black doesn't stand up and in fact just points to the bias that white audiences generally just want white actors ringfenced for big roles. The irony in all of this is that once a black actor takes a role typically perceived to be white the world goes crazy, but when white actors consistently take historic roles of characters that their genetics don't match it doesn't even register.

My dad used to teach my cousins to sing "you're going home in a London ambulance!", which led my cousin when he was a kid to start singing it to an old lady getting into the back of an ambulance in a tesco car park

Yeah mate, only two games in the league and 4 points but last season we'd probably not have won 5-1 against Rotherham and probably would have lost out to Stoke rather than drew (though we should have won, all over them). We've got the strongest squad we've ever had and at this point we've still got Marcondes to come back as well. I think we'll surprise a lot of people this season. Not sure how consistent we'll be, but like I said before there will be times where we blow teams away with potentially the best football in the division, it's just a matter of how consistent we can be.
