  1. Terry was great in a side that parked the bus
  2. Could you stick the new Brentford crest up?
  3. One tweet that says he wants a rematch, that is pushing for a rematch mate
  4. McGregor pushing for a rematch, Dana will pretend to be angry about all of this and then the UFC will blow up everything that's happened again. Can only see Khabib winning the rematch
  5. This whole event overshadowed the two biggest parts of the night, some hot balls and that that humdinger between Ferguson and Pettis.
  6. Come off it Josh, the hotel incident is not justification for McGregors bus incident. That was completely on McGregor, that incident is what started the fight. Khabib and Lobov was their own issue. Im sure Khabib isn't a saint but the bias towards McGregor is embarrassing, the guy has done everything he can to make Khabib absolutely hate him if he didn't already. As Philomena said, McGregor stepped over the line in the press conferences (as well as with the bus)...doesn't excuse Khabib but fucking hell Conor pushed him as far as he could go, talking about how he'd be locked up for what he'd do to him if there wasn't a UFC bout, his family, etc etc. The guy is a ticking time bomb, was great promotion for the UFC before, but is now turning things sour and tbh boring because it's all too predictable.
  7. I wouldn't condone that in a sport, great publicity as a one time thing for UFC but also a complete embarrassment and just highlights how inept they've been at managing this fight. Do not feel sorry for Dana or the UFC, they used the bus incident to promote this fight, allowed McGregor to talk as he has done to sell the fight and are partly at fault for the outcome. The men hate each other. Dont feel for McGregor, shit thing for the "men" jumping the cage to do but the amount of shit he's spoken throughout the build up a reaction of this magnitude isn't completely undeserved. Khabib has obviously been filling up with hatred after the stuff Conor said about him, and whilst you could try and make an excuse for him he let himself down as well as the UFC. All three parties in the wrong but it was entertaining and they'll all make their monies worth so I'm sure no one really cares. But the UFC has just looked completely amateur after that. Sure if there's a rematch Dana will ramp up the publicity over all of this.
  8. Can anyone tell me what happened at the end/what it was all about?

Haha tbh mate I had a lot of chances with one employer to improve on it but never really had the motivation. Definitely useful if it's how you're looking to make a career but it didn't tickle my fancy at the time. I'm hoping I can forge something within comedy, whether it be stand up, writing etc.

Tbh mate the only way to get better at public speaking is to do it over and over. One of those skills that unless you're naturally good at it only practice will make you better and feel comfortable doing it. Stand up is a great way to improve it, though there are other options you can generally find online (groups sessions with other people, conferences that encourage it etc). I do it once a month at a comedy club and it gets about 20-40+ each time, then I do it about once or twice a week in pubs and bars that not including the other 10 comics watching you, there'll be about 10-20 people. There's one gig where it's just 11 comics and about 2-3 people watching That's good for public speaking as it feels a bit more personal and it's more about engaging with people individually to make them laugh. Most of my jokes are observational stuff about me or places I've been/grown up. Got a couple of cancer jokes for good measure too haha.

Fair play Stef that seems like a mammoth feat! Closest thing I've done to that was a 14k run that had a 2km hill that raised by about 100m which I trained for for two weeks, was absolutely shattered after, zapped any mental awareness out of me. Went to Subway the next day and asked for a 6ft sub

Done my 10th stand up gig on Monday, 4 months on from when I first started. Used to be petrified of public speaking, shat several bricks in the build up to my first gig. Saw my life flash before my eyes the first time my name was called out to go on stage Fair to say it's going pretty well so far.
  13. Better than you son, though my tactics have now evolved from a Big Sam style to more of a Klopp
  14. Been living abroad now for nearly two years, no access to a PS4....withdrawal symptoms kicking in big time now the new FIFA is out
  15. A Simple Favour - 6/10 Wasn't shit, was funny in places and midway through started to reel me in but overall the story didn't feel that groundbreaking/exciting and it reminded me of a lighter version of Gone Girl. The Predators - 5/10 One of those sci-fi films you can watch hungover on a Sunday but nothing on the original two and I'd rather they didn't make another unless it's actually good with an original storyline and has some original cast in.

Managed to grab some highlights, Smith rocked Groves a couple of times so fair play. Groves fought back well but as has been said that height advantage was a killer. Great for British boxing to have a young champion in Smith, as well as being number one in the division. After that fight I look forward to seeing more of him! Didn't think a whole lot of Eubank Jr tbh, though it's his first fight in 7 months but didn't seem levels above McDonagh even though he was outboxing him. Still got some vicious hooks when they connect but also shown that they're still not that accurate. If he signs with Matchroom Hearn will go to town on him promotionally but I can't see a consistent world champ in him at super middle or middle. Could be in some explosive fights though depending on opposition.

Was it a good fight? Not seen a lot of Smith tbh, watched his first fight of the tournament and it was a bit meh, good from him to knock Groves out though. Where does Groves go from here?
  18. Nothing to do with racism or xenophobia The man who spearheaded a Brexit campaign consistently used anti-immigration and anti-Islamic rhetoric to gain support, you are well and truly living in dream land if you think that it didn't play a big role in voting. To suggest there was no islamaphobia because there is no Muslim country is ridiculous, especially coming from a man who churned out the scaremongering that Turkey will join the EU and flood Europe with Muslims.
  19. From what I've seen of Chelsea I agree with Brock, Chelsea play a possession based game of football and they needed a midfielder to help implement that. Jorginho keeps the ball moving, orders teammates around to what Sarri wants. He is Sarri's General on the pitch. To say statistics show very little is wrong though, you just don't know how to read them/find their importance within a match. Which is fine. But people are creatures of habit and statistics pick up habits on a football pitch.
  20. Try living here mate, throughout the referendum most newspapers painted it as if we were carrying out a great escape from our Nazi captors. Her rhetoric is exactly the sort of bullshit that pushed Brexit through in the first place. Mostly about immigration, Islam, terrorists and being an "independent" nation, Europe is evil Britain isn't...little about anything else. Hopefully a People's Vote is had but I'm not too confident.
  21. Maybe but Sydney's only an hour away! Can't imagine he has a lot on his plate over there haha
  22. Yeah at Melbourne weren't he? Bet he thought it'd be sunny all year round hence going Central Coast now

Povetkin started well connecting with Joshua, Joshua began to read how Povetkin was punching with those big hooks and nullified those attempts with a solid defence that kept seeing Povetkin miss. As the fight went on Joshua was in control, started to outbox Povetkin and then finished him. Had he not of got the KO he'd of carried on outboxing him. Joshua is vulnerable to being hit in the early stages of a fight to anyone looking for a KO, but he will work out how they punch even if that means taking a few and then either counter or just make them miss and then dictate to them. He's still young and gaining experience, a phenomenal athlete to achieve what he has considering his boxing history is a lot shorter than others. Anglo view or not it was a deserved win and Joshua's quality was clearly beginning to control the fight.

Good fight for AJ, you could see early on he was trying to work out Povetkin and whilst the Russian had some success AJ began to read the punches he was throwing and dodge them pretty easily, throwing some counters back too. Proved his chin isn't made of glass as it made out. Shown the knock out power again. Bizarre to suggest he's not a good boxer. Agree with @LFCMike, Povetkin fell out of the ring, how on earth was he allowed to carry on?
