  1. I think they will be hard pressed to do better than last year's 5th place finish. I understand Arsenal have improved but 3 of the 4 teams that finished above them last year, City, Spurs and Chelsea have also improved. Liverpool is just better over all even if they have replaced Mane with the Uruguayan Andy Carrol and while it maybe hope more than anything else United can't be as bad under Ten Hag as they were last year.
  2. He was excused for family reasons, which the club has accepted as valid. He should be along in a few days.
  3. I couldn't agree more about Rashford'. His drop in form is down to his political activision. He needs to concentrate completely on football for the next 7 or 8 years and stop trying to be a politician. Once he hits 30 he can prepare himself for his next career.
  4. Only just saw this , I am travelling through Portugal and access to the internet is sparse. I don't think he said or did anything wrong, the fans where at a pub close to his house and were planing to protest at his home. He headed them off by going to the pub and buying them drinks and talking to them about their questions about how the club is being run. How geniune he was, I don't know, it's good that he appears to be a man of the people willing to discuss the fans concerns, but it could also be a PR stunt. However, you couldn't see Woodward or the Glazers doing the same, so it could help diffuse the anger among the hard core fan base, which would be a good thing.
  5. Should have gone years ago. Paul Marshall to replace him , hopefully.
  6. I think this is just recycled news. They did offer him a new deal a year or so ago, The offer is probably still on the table. I doubt it's for £520k a week thou.
  7. If they are going to protest they should protest the players, they are the most responsible for the mess United are in.
  8. I would never say never, nothing surprises me anymore. Maybe I am tainted living in North American most of my life and seeing little done to athletes over here that broke the law. Ray Lewis and his " posse" killed a man at a Super Bowl a number of years ago and all he got was a fine by the NFL. You could field an entire team with wife beaters, rapists and other law breakers over here. Nobody knows what is happening behind the scenes, if she refuses to testify, if she says they were only role playing and they are in to S&M, charges could be dropped (just playing devil's advocate here, not saying thats the case.) If the charges are dropped or reduced significantly he could very well play for United again. They would drop like a hot potato thou, if their sponsors decided to walk away.
  9. If all charges are dropped, and I am not saying they will or they should, how do you stop him from playing? He's still under contract, United never tore up the contact and I would think they couldn't if he is not charged. P.lus as they say needs must.
  10. It's rumored that Mason Greenwood will find out in a few days if he will be charged with rape. So if charges are dropped does he suit up for training right away?
  11. Just as long as you don't start talking like a Gerodie, it has to be the worst accent in England.
  12. You are into non league football anyway. Even League Two has two or three foreign owners
  13. So who has the money to buy Chelsea for £2 billion plus? It's similar to selling Manchester United, the only people who have that kind of money are the Arabs and the Chinese and we don't want either involved in football. Better the devil you know.
  14. Not to belittle a very tragic situation, but maybe Chesla should just be suspended for the season. We need all the help we can get to finish top four.
  15. Chelsea certainly looks tired, so do a lot of other clubs. It's been hard season, first many of the Premier players didn't have much of a summer break due to the Euros and I think Covid has had a greater effect than we realise. When you are tired and perhaps feeling down due to the restrictions society has implemented to fight Covid you are more susceptible to injuries. I have never been a fan of the winter breaks that leagues in Europe have, but if we expect players to play International tournaments almost every summer, maybe it's time to consider shutting down for longer than a week in January or February.
  16. This never should have gone to trial, it is a clear cut case of self defense. The performance by the prosecution was a joke,, their witnessess proved the defendant's case. The judge should had declared it a Directed Verdict after the prosecution rested. Justice was served here.
  17. I have heard that FSG is in serious talks to buy the NHL's Pittsburg Penquins. So will that put Liverpool a little bit down the pecking order if FSG has to spend money on their sports franchises?
  18. Does Allison dig at referee Pawson on instergram warrent a suspension? " it's not so hard when you can use your hands" Malignant the referee, questioning the integrity of the game.
  19. It's been time for a while now, but it won't be Bruce. Probably Conte or Zidane, but I would go for ten hag or maybe Rangnick. Brenden Rogers I think is the bookies favourite. But I fear they won't sack him unless we are out if everything by the end of November, which is certainly possible.
  20. De Gea is a better keeper in my opinion. Henderson is more vocal and seems to organize the back four better, but in all other aspects of the job I would take De Gea over him. I think United shoukd have sold him or shaped for somebody they need.
  21. That's the agent fee your talking about right? The agent always gets a fee when their client is renewing his contract don't they? Or are you talking about something else?
  22. Can't figure out who he was passing to, it was no where near De Gea and if it was supposed to be to one of the defenders on that side, they would have been under pressure from the Young Boy's attackers. With 30 seconds left he should have just hooved it out of bounds. You have to wonder if you are used to playing in one colour and the team you are playing are wearing that colour, does it cause problems. I can't remember West Ham playing in yellow , but with so many different jerseys who knows. Maybe Lingard is a little colur blind?
