  1. What's the story with Zaha's contract being up in January. I could understand if he wants to leave based on how he wanted to leave in former years yet was blocked.
  2. Well at one point the US had forces in Azerbaijan and the US militarily supports Israel and Turkey is a NATO member.
  3. That would not surprise me re Russia making money out of selling arms yet Turkey only supports Azerbaijan.
  4. Looking back over the last couple of pages, Turkey supports Azerbaijan Russia does not support Armenia though does not want to see Turkish influence grow. Egypt funnels arms to the Palestinians.
  5. Also heard that Hitler wrote a second book, can't recall the details though the claim was this was more authentic and the site was closed down allegedly due to legal action.
  6. I have heard that Mein Kampf was ghost written rather than by Hitler's own hand.
  7. Oh he did almost as soon as the bus was out I saw it on tv and was surprised as I thought that was an own goal.
  8. Interesting I saw an interesting program earlier in the year where they were saying the real anti-Semites were Himmler and Goebbels not Hitler. There have never been any documents showing Hitler was aware of the camps now these could have been destroyed or maybe raise another question. Of course none of this exonerates him he still invaded neutral countries and resulting in the deaths of many peoples especially Slavs and Russians as well as any political enemies.
  9. The links go for instead the £350m a week which is over £12bn annually https://www.businessinsider.com/boris-johnson-says-his-350-million-a-week-brexit-claim-was-an-underestimate-2018-1?r=US&IR=T Here is another and none mention Farage it is just Bojo. https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/boris-johnson-leave-campaigns-350m-a-week-claim-was-gross-underestimate Lastly the beacon for left leaning voters https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jan/15/leave-campaigns-350m-claim-was-too-low-says-boris-johnson
  10. The only thing I can remember Farage being criticised for was scaremongering over the EU enlarging to include Turkey claiming we would get huge immigration from Turkey. On this point of Turkey both Switzerland Austria were unhappy about this too. I can't remember lies from Farage although do agree outside of UKIP he was very unpopular.
  11. He did say it during the campaign, he said Boris had it wrong with his Leave Bus EU cost, he said Boris had not allowed for the rebate meaning it was £9bn. I recall Andrew Neil's politics show agreeing Farage was right so why didn't Boris change the slogan on his Leave bus?
  12. For an idiot he lasted quite well. In fact he called Boris out for having misleading figures on the Leave Bus. I corrected a Brazilian lady on fb over Farage, she said Farage claimed we would get £12bn savings for the NHS and I said, 'No that was Boris not Farage' I really hope Bojo does not win, he is a liability and might not even last until the next GE.
  13. Russia has never given it's best missile defence system to Syria just a lower model. Israeli pilots are clever for sure yet notice they have not attacked Hezbollah in Lebanon for a good reason, it would quickly become a missile war. Russia is stretched at the moment in Ukraine though their air force remains a threat.
  14. The news says a new leader appointed by next Friday, bizarre. I can't believe anyone is suggesting Johnson runs again he would be a liability.
  15. Ukraine is having some success on the ground though have sustained serious infrastructure in their bigger cities. I notice since the weekend neither Biden or Blinken have commented on Ukraine yet have on Truss and China. I'm guessing something big has happened in the background still waiting to come out in the news. The silence is deafening from Biden.
  16. No I agree yet if it went badly wrong she could be forced to go, don't think it was that bad so she survives for the moment. Next big hurdle will be the budget change by Hunt scheduled for the 31st October. In saying the above there could still be a change if enough overnight go to Brady yet more change becomes like musical chairs which is why I think she will stay. @RandoEFC Yes the odds are for a change at the next election.
  17. If Truss survives PMQs today she has a chance of lasting until the next election with the support of Hunt. If she folds badly at PMQs I suspect Sunak as he was 2nd in the party contest to be ushered in. I don't think the country would allow them another wait and see party contest.
  18. Credit to Kepa Arrizabalaga after being kept out by Mendy really made some vital saves against Villa.
  19. Would have been nice to have seen a bit more with a walk through as looked interesting.
  20. For me Bojo had the plan to reduce the debt by raising national insurance and corporation tax. The markets like us reducing the debt to GDP ratio, Truss with the backing of the majority of the 150,000 members has decided she has the perfect recipe for growth and we can pay less tax. It is not surprising the markets do not like it. 150k members are not the same as Middle England either she wises up or probably a hung parliament next time around.
  21. Seeing Salah back on the scoresheet makes Sunday against City a little more interesting.
  22. Strikes are a good start for raising the stakes. Revolutions normally gather pace when police ranks join the protests............
  23. Yes an unpleasant situation in Iran. You would hope the more progressive side wins in this dispute though religious autocracies are something else.
  24. Nice one. Interesting as an asylum seeker or leaving on family grounds? Did wearing the Hajib bother her?
  25. When I saw the line-up thought we would struggle though of course I forgot Watford had sacked their manager. Some neat play and goals will we sustain it?
