  1. Not watching but starting 11 not far off what it'll be next Saturday. I agree Fabinho probably comes in with only three weeks off. Alisson too. Van Dijk may not start v Norwich
  2. Have to say that I'm amazed that some think it's just 'unfortunate'. It's a really poor challenge and endangers the safety of the opponent. I think Fofana's earlier challenge can be described as unfortunate.
  3. I've just seen the challenge on some Facebook group. Disgusting challenge for a pre season game
  4. I could be wrong too. I just know the Brazilians were back late last week I think so I suppose there's a chance they may play a part. Henderson was only back this week so he's unlikely to play I think
  5. Is there no chance Fabinho would be available? He'll have played a part in two pre season games by then wouldn't he?

    I've put these three on
  7. I think we have that with Jota and Firmino, but how many players in world football will be making Salah or Mane think 'fuck this guy might take my place'? That's a big money signing. A signing under 21ish makes sense so you can show them a clear pathway to the starting 11 in a few years time when Salah and Mane are on the decline
  8. Yes League and Champions League I think. Who's to say we won't? I don't think it necessarily has to be the big signing everyone is saying is needed but I think we need another midfielder for depth yeah. Making sure they get rid of a few first makes sense though
  9. Highest earners are reportedly Salah and Thiago on £200k.
  10. I would argue that he is being backed. As of last season, Liverpool had the second highest wage bill in league, behind only Man City. There will hopefully be new deals for several players whose contracts expire in 2023 which will only increase that spend on wages. If we start losing our best players because they are penny pinching then I think we can criticise.
  11. I'm don't think that's the solution but even still, I don't see us going out and spending big money on a fifth choice forward.
  12. I think a central midfielder is a must. I'm not sure Klopp and Edwards will see a forward as a big priority though.
  13. No Nat Phillips in either team tonight. Off to Brighton? Unless I've missed something
  14. Henderson currently earns £140k per week. Liverpool won't want to be increasing that and rightly so. Wijnaldum was on less than £100k, £70-90k was the reports. It's not the same really. I very much doubt he'll be sold this summer. I don't see why they can't get into the final year of his contract and see what the situation is then with his fitness, place in the squad etc. I love Henderson but there's no room for sentiment. Liverpool need to make sure the budget is used to tie down players who will be much more important than Henderson over the next 3-4 years
  15. There's a few players out of contract in 2023. Liverpool are right to prioritise the likes of Alisson, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Salah and Mane.
  16. He'll be 33 by the time his current contract is up. He has injury problems. Of course there's uncertainty at this stage. Liverpool would be stupid to just give in to the demands of a player in Henderson's situation
  17. Watched all three episodes of Time on BBC iPlayer tonight. Heavy stuff but a brilliant little series. Also just finished the third series of Better Call Saul. Took me a little while to get into it but really enjoying it now
  18. I think prior to that game in Madrid last season I was always in the keep Keita camp. Simply because if he did only play 25-30 odd games in all competitions then there was nothing wrong with that, especially given he generally had a positive impact when he did get on the pitch. He was shocking that night though, don't think he played again last season after that and ended up on 16 appearances overall. I think we'll be looking to move him on. Personally I'd keep Chamberlain. I think there's a good reason we didn't see much of him even when he was fit last season. Given the state of the defence, there was no room for him in midfield because we needed players there who'd offer the defence a bit more protection. Unless we were chasing a game, he'd always come on for one of the front three. He does frustrate at times but if he can chip in with the sort of tally he did in 19/20 then he's worth keeping around. He's versatile too. We may see more of him in the front three next season, especially if you sell Origi and Shaqiri. No reason why Chamberlain can't have Origi's minutes if he stays fit. I wouldn't be against him filling in for TAA if needed either. Technically I think he has the attributes to do that but it would be going the other way that might be a worry. No idea on Wijnaldum's replacement. Got to bring someone in though. You can't let a player who played about 50 games a season leave without replacing them.
