  1. Yeah just going off what I've seen there's not been many. Babbel, Finnan and Arbeloa were all decent right backs but were not around long enough. Left back has always been a problem position. Aurelio probably the best before Robertson in terms of ability but he was never fit (I could not stand Riise)
  2. Nah. Torres played in a really good Liverpool side between 07-09 and had the advantage of being backed up by a prime Gerrard. The way they linked up was superb like. Suarez played in a Liverpool side that was very much inferior and almost carried that side to the title in 13/14. Torres was brilliant but Suarez is the most talented player I've seen in a Liverpool shirt.
  3. Going on only players I've been alive to see play Alisson TAA Hyypia VVD Robertson Gerrard Alonso Salah Firmino Mane Suarez Tried to stick to a 433 but I wanted both Firmino and Suarez in there
  4. Oh I agree, and it does seem like a dig at me and you
  5. To be fair, I'm not sure offering him to Fulham in exchange for Clint Dempsey was anything other than fucking stupid from Rodgers. He was still basically a kid at that point who I think had shown in his first season under Dalglish that he was worth persisting with (although if I recall, he did massively split opinion that season). I think his first three seasons you saw a steady upward trajectory and he became important in 13/14. The next couple of seasons are where he really seemed to struggle and when I think a lot of the 'not good enough' shouts started. I think maybe Liverpool spending big money on two midfielders in Fabinho and Keita has also helped his improvement too. He must have surely felt that his place was under threat in the summer of 2018.
  6. At the time I don't think he was. I think after Gerrard left he went through a period of trying to do everything, like Gerrard used to do. The injuries didn't help either to be fair. He's got back to doing what he's good at though and the improvement over the last couple of years is remarkable. He's really grown into a proper Liverpool captain and I think lifting that first trophy has really helped his development further. Opinions are allowed to change on players. It's those who have already made their mind up on a player and won't change it no matter what that do my head in. There's someone on an LFC forum I go on who still won't have a bad word said against Rodgers and therefore Joe Allen too. He maintains that there's no difference between Henderson and Allen. Yes, Allen who currently plays for a side fourth bottom of the Championship
  7. Why they're not letting the referee view incidents back on the pitch side monitor is beyond me
  8. Pubs allowed to open from 6am tomorrow. That's gonna end well...
  9. Matip out for the rest of the season. Far too injury prone isn't he? Very good when fit. Ideally he'd be fourth choice and we upgrade Lovren. Maybe a good opportunity for Hoever to get a go in the next few weeks though
  10. The current situation has clearly changed priorities. If we're working on the assumption that there's no AFCON next Jan/Feb then there's no need to be going out and spending over £50m on a player who won't make the first 11.
  11. Origi probably hasn't made the most of his chances this season as he did last. Ideally you'd have someone better as back up. The front three start pretty much every game they're available for though. How many players with more ability would be willing to come in and sit in the bench? Especially if the African Nations Cup doesn't go ahead in January?
  12. Chelsea received over £100m for Hazard last summer didn't they? Not really comparable situation at all. The club since Klopp came in should have earned our trust whatever they do. From waiting for Van Dijk when we were all calling for them to sign 'anyone' to not signing anyone major last summer and subsequently running away with the league. They've just kept on proving us wrong
  13. https://streamable.com/sz0z93?fbclid=IwAR0coB1X0pR-mfbt0dwa9do97YRf2xH4YULpW9uYYrfRdKbFdJLl9tjZ8Mk This misses Clarkson's goal off at the end, that's below
  14. Which made Shrewsbury favourites for the replay if I'm not mistaken?
