Wilder has blamed his ring walk costume

Oh I absolutely understand why Wilder would take the rematch clause. He's not getting that kind of payday at nearly 35 from anywhere else at the moment. From a fans point of view and also Fury's though it doesn't make sense. Fury's proved over two fights that he's on a different level. I'm also not sure Wilder could finish Fury off with one punch now either. If he couldn't do it in the first fight when Fury was only about 6 months into a return after being out of the ring for nearly three years then it doesn't happen now with this level that Fury has showed over these two fights (assuming Fury stays in the straight and narrow)

Hope he doesn't. We don't need to see it again. The large majority had Fury winning the first fight where he boxed him. He's just bullied him in the second. Make Fury-Joshua

    Incredible performance from Fury that.

It really is one of them that could go either way. Wilder can end it at any moment with a huge shot but Fury is a much better boxer. Fury should have won the first fight and it was unbelievable it ended in a draw.
  6. It all depends on the gap between the league games and the cup tie. Resting too many for too long isn't beneficial either. We play Bournemouth at 12.30 on the Saturday before the second leg v Atletico on the Wednesday. I doubt we'll see more than the usual one or two changes in that particular situation
  7. The records in the league only become relevant if you're out of the other two competitions. Give me the trophies any day. I think having something to play for in the league could help in the other two cups though. If the league is wrapped up it doesn't mean we have to rest the whole 11 before a Champions League tie for example
  8. He was asked about them after the FA Cup final last season and didn't answer
  9. Has there not been allegations against Guardiola himself too though? The fact that he could have received payments from other sources like Mancini did when he was there?
  10. Yeah I'll hold my hands up on Calvert-Lewin at the moment too. He's improved a lot by adding goals to his game.
  11. Their argument seems to be how they've been caught rather than the actual evidence against them. They're also acting as if UEFA are going to be appointing a lawyer on no win no fee or something

Gonna get around to watching this tonight
  13. So this has been doing the rounds again recently
  14. That would be a mad set up against anyone half decent
  15. They certainly learnt a big lesson that day and I don't think it's ridiculous to say that the current Liverpool as a club (players, fans, manager) moulded in Klopp's image wouldn't exist now had they not listened. The fan base was so split back then. Now it's never been more together. It's all down to Klopp but his job would have been made much harder had the fans been at odds with the owners. They've not made many mistakes since but the trademarking controversy shows the importance of a couple of groups like SOS and the Spion Kop lads. Keeping them honest like you say
  16. The mistake was not replacing him. Lukaku far from lived up to the £75m price tag for United but he has always been a bit of a flat track bully and scored against the lesser sides which is where United have struggled this season
  17. Some of those ratings on FIFA 2003: https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-gaming-the-premier-league-ratings-on-fifa-2003-are-absolutely-mental-20200205?source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2nkEpo4aDcMntp-sZrzuYfLhYZKBqiIZH8Qc38czWMXFXdOWKcSnzdv7E
  18. I certainly don't remember saying that clean sheets are overrated! My point was always that Liverpool were still defending well as a unit generally. Yes there was a couple of games where they gave teams opportunities to get back into games (Southampton away springs to mind in particular in being a nervy ending). I think some of our least assured defensive displays came in Europe earlier in the season though. The original post wasn't aimed at you or indeed any of the reds on here by the way. You seemed a little defensive with that post!
  19. Absolutely not and I think I've proven that numerous times on here. So let's say Chelsea had two or three clear-ish chances in that game. Still doesn't mean Liverpool were vulnerable defensively around that time. Unless we're expecting perfection every game. They were still seeing out most games comfortably even if the scorelines made the opposition think they had a chance
