  1. I don't remember us 'conceding chances all over the shop'. Another exaggeration by yourself I think. Mount had one after Chelsea pulled one back in that game that he should have done better with I think. I stated at the time that we were still pretty solid defensively. Still only conceding one goal or less. Not matching the high standards of the start of last season didn't mean Liverpool were vulnerable defensively.
  2. Remember when people were questioning Liverpool defensively earlier in the season, some outsiders even called the defence 'shit'? 15 goals conceded, which is the same after 25 games last season
  3. I'd say it is quite a sensational rise for a kid that's played three PL games. You'd surely be looking to wait until the end of the season before handing out any rewards
  4. I don't think anyone has said the United sides must have been shit though have they? What's undeniable is that Liverpool and City have pushed each other more than any other rivalry the last two years to reach the points totals they've got/will get. Going back to City in 17/18 though, there was never any mention of it being a weak league from other fans when they basically had it won in January or February, only that they were the best side the league has seen. It's different now though. That's not aimed at you yourself but there's been loads of that over the last few weeks. I agree that winning the league (or European Cup) multiple times cements the legacy of a great team though
  5. I don't remember people talking about it being a weak league when City were walking it two years ago
  6. I recall posting something a few weeks back maybe where he said it but can't say I've noticed if he does it all the time or not. But then I only see odd clips from these press conferences
  7. Winning the league is normally done by being consistent against the poorer sides in the league. There's not always that one defining tie where the crowd can play their part as well as the players. Ask Liverpool players why they're inspired on a European night or why Chelsea or City players shit themselves at Anfield despite being way ahead of Liverpool sides in the league. City's fans just don't inspire them at home either. There's always an aura around these sides that are historically successful in Europe. You can't buy that, as City and PSG have found out.
  8. Their fans don't want it though. Say what you want about the 'Anfield myth' or whatever and history in the competition but it counts. It's why these oil clubs can't win it
  9. Yeah and let's not forget Klopp hasn't lost a two legged tie in Europe as Liverpool manager yet. "and in Europe only need to be on it for 7 more nights and the trophy is theirs." 'Only' 7 more nights. That's pretty difficult to do against some of the top sides in Europe
  10. Remarkable that he's got the joint most clean sheets despite missing what, 8 or 9 games? "By contrast, Kepa Arrizabalaga – who quickly replaced Alisson as the most expensive goalkeeper of all time in the summer of 2018 – has a save percentage of 55.4 per cent, which puts him bottom of the Premier League and in the bottom five in Europe."
  11. Yeah great idea to base it on an image including Emlyn Hughes too and an image of Paisley before his managerial days
  12. Didn't he only sign a new one in September? I can't remember, I know there was talk of it What has the former Man Utd chairman got to do with it?
  13. I do agree. For us, if Van Dijk doesn't sign then we don't go on the run to the CL final in 2018 and Alisson probably doesn't sign either. Van Dijk and Alisson are the two most important signings I've seen us make
  14. If Maguire went for £80m then Liverpool should be looking at £300m minimum
  15. As if you're all having a serious discussion about this just because some random Twitter account has put it out there
  16. Think they were waiting for results of a scan last I heard on Friday. I doubt he makes Wednesday
  17. Assuming he's talking about 'Ed Woodward's gonna die'
  18. Yeah there's loads you can use to criticise Solskjaer but sending a lad on loan to Oldham isn't one of them. Don't know who he is but he can't be a future United first teamer if he's off to Oldham. Also McTominay was brought through by Mourinho wasn't he? He's also not a kid, he's 23!
