  1. Most league goals in a league season for Marcus Rashford - 10. Abraham has already equalled that this season
  2. Nobody will be surprised by his thinking. Not even worth engaging. It's the less well off that might weirdly vote Tory that need turning around and convincing
  3. The EFL have said Liverpool have committed to playing a side that's largely consistent with the selections so far. I don't see how any squad players will be playing in the League Cup as they will surely be travelling to Qatar. If it's literally a mix of under 19s and 23s up against a Premier League team it won't be valuable experience for them at all. They'll get battered
  4. The way you say that makes it sound like you thought it was the wrong decision
  5. Might as well pull out of the League Cup. Pointless sending the kids there
  6. Strong words from Chris Kamara here on yesterday's disallowed Firmino goal “I’m not happy with it, I’ll be 100 per cent honest with you," he said on Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday. “In my opinion this is made up, this has been made up by somebody at Stockley Park who’s decided they don’t want this to be a goal, and that is my opinion, and that is my honest opinion. “From the naked eye you don’t need that calibration of dots or whatever to tell you, look at Tyrone Mings’ knee, Firmino is onside, right. “So you look at the yellow line and there’s a black line there as well. So they’ve done that there - that tells you that he was onside. “So they change it round now to make it that Firmino is the black line and Tyrone Mings is the yellow line, as you can see now.” Kamara even held up a piece of paper to the screen to prove that the VAR lines drawn weren't straight. “But the line that comes up towards Firmino isn’t straight - that’s not a straight line, that’s an angled line," he continued. “I put a piece of paper to it this morning haven’t I and I showed you - that is not a straight line. “Get your rulers out, get your spirit level out. That red line is not a straight line. “Now, somebody has decided to do that and I think they should be outed because that is not offside for me. “That’s why it’s not a straight line, look at that paper, look how angled it is, that’s not a straight line.” https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chris-kamara-claims-var-official-20801816
  7. Was it a pointless three day bender or a weekend in paradise, my friend
  8. But even then, why would you want to leave a side that has won the league and will be in the latter stages of the Champions League each year? I think the only way Liverpool lose a star player now is if they're a willing seller, ie if they think they're past their prime and decide to cash in
  9. Not worrying about that, just enjoying watching this side under this manager. There was a stage where you couldn't argue with our star players looking to move but I think the way this side has developed since coutinho left and the way things have gone for him we can legitimately say why would you want to leave
  10. No doubt part of the election is Brexit but I think there's polls that show that even people who voted for it show they care more about the NHS and the inequality in the country. Let's see, but from Labour's point of view they should be focusing on the bigger issues to win this election
  11. We need a separate thread for the election. Different thing altogether, sick of hearing about Brexit to be honest. Much bigger issues that a Labour government would sort
  12. You'd think that Liverpool would have been making the Football League aware of the issue before the season started. I'd be shocked if they didn't
  13. You can't just put a team full of kids out against a Premier League side. Us fans might say things like that now and again, maybe half serious, but in all seriousness, they'd get battered and it would be no good for their development at all. There has to be at least a few experienced heads alongside them. I think Liverpool have got the balance right in the two League Cup games so far this season
  14. True, I suppose he has the advantage of being a big influence in the current set up though. Anyway, all things well, Klopp will extend beyond 2022!
  15. Because Chelsea weren't in the best situation. Transfer ban etc. If Gerrard gets the Liverpool job in the next few years then things probably aren't going well on or off the pitch (or both)
  16. Gerrard would be a long way off yet. I don't think he'd be in consideration if Klopp was going at the end of his current contract in 2022
  17. Emery's record outside of those Europa League wins isn't that impressive really. He certainly doesn't seem the type to heavily improve a team over the course of a league season. Sure one of his seasons at Sevilla saw them go the whole season without an away win too?
  18. I was going to mention this about whether people thought this could be the case because I'd seen it discussed elsewhere. Certainly a possibility
  19. Maybe not for a hardcore minority. The tourists soon stopped wearing their yellow and green scarves to go with their replica shirts though
  20. As far as they're concerned he's doing his job. The club is still bringing in huge sums of money without them being competitive. And the blame for the football side of things falls on the manager or Woodward in the eyes of the majority
  21. They had half-arsed protests when things weren't as great as normal under Ferguson, with the Norwich scarves and stuff but once they started winning the league again it was quickly forgotten
  22. These comparisons between the two players are ridiculous. They're completely different players. Shall we start comparing McTominay with De Bruyne?
  23. He's not looked great when he's played recently though. A lack of games is clearly affecting him. Hopefully getting minutes against Arsenal and possibly Genk sees an improvement from him
