  1. not sure I'm a fan of a league format.
  2. the biggest loss to villa would be Emery and if ten hag is sacked i think Yanited will come calling
  3. interesting developments in the George Floyd matter, if Any Sweasy wins her dad against the Minniapolis State Prosecution there is a very good chance the Chauvin trial will be deemed a miss trial and he will be acquitted. she is suing her own employer for mala fides in prosecuting a case where they knew there was no evidence of injury attributed to suffocation. he also had 10x the lethal dosage of Fentanyl in his blood. the panic of being arrested drive his heart rate up and he died of a heart attack which was the official declaration. the novus causus intervenus principle can apply, even if you accept that Chauvin would have killed him, if an intervening cause breaks the causal nexus, it cannot be murder. eg: you shoot someone but they survive but are critical, the helicopter on route to the ER crashes, cause of death is the crash, you cannot be charged with murder, you can face other charges but much lesser charges. from a legal stand point it is interesting. obviously there are powers that needed to milk the George Floyd incident for political reasons and I'm sure they will do whatever they can to bury it. the same powers that have protected any inquest into the current presidents involvement in foreign dealings while pushing of all things tax irregularities against another.
  4. relegation would utterly ruin man United, probably result in liquidation as the expenses and payroll is eye watering. I get what you are saying though from a purest standpoint. I am merely commenting on the facts that between Ratcliffe and Al Thani, the latter is far better for Man United.
  5. There is no benefit, you can't claim a benefit when you stand with 100% risk. Newcastle is a victim of Mala fides. Certain information cannot be investigated due to privacy laws and most contracts will contain a clause that the parties declare no latent defects. if you purposely information and the other party relies on the misrepresentation to their detriment, in law of torts that is a breach of contract.
  6. 18 months is a long time in football however Saudi and the US seem to be options for a loan where he can play until the UEFA ban ends. Saudi Arabia wants to be regulated by UEFA so perhaps looking unlikely but a loan to America seems plausible as they are not regulated by UEFA.
  7. it seems like the counts if sports betting are limited, most of his activity is gambling related which makes it different to Toney and Toffolo who had 200-300 sports bets. If it was the FA probe he would get a suspended sentence but Italy have a far more Gestapo like process. I am with Palace Fan, Tonali and Milan would have known something if at very least tonali would have and may have said something or colluded with Milan to make money off him. if tonali got a 3 year ban we would have sought immediate cancellation of the contract without paying him a dime as he would have reneged on the contract by way of misrepresentation. The question is then do we take UEFA on in that the 55m be reallocated to FFP and the transfer be written off or do we pursue Milan who could have been told by tonali at the time of negotiations that he has a potential defect that could cause legal action.
  8. it doesn't address the big issue though, that the glazers will continue to be cash parasites. Al Thani's option was much better to get man United back to the top table, the plans and project were more sustainable than SJR. reports are out that man United will have very limited resources for 3 years and the roof will not be fixed due to more pressing issues. I don't know what the reasons are because the man United shareholders supported a full sale to Al Thani but the veto seems to be the Glazers. I get there would be some unwillingness but in terms of a plan, vision and money, Qatar are far better. i can see them buying a West Ham or Everton and just pulling it on man United's suffering fans.
  9. im pretty sure outside the odd victory they have been losing a lot this year, I am surprised we even made the world cup.
  10. It is very disappointing and even if he is hypothetically banned the rest of the season, it will put him well down the pecking order and playing catch up
  11. I read the same, if Milan knew and didn't disclose we will be able to sue them. We could also terminate the players contract without reciprocal performance, or put differently, we will be able to cancel his contract without paying him anything. I don't think it will go that far though, unless there is a 3 year ban. I am also not sure how an italian ban applies in England.
  12. inside Israel is another war brewing with the population against Netanyahu and his alliance. in a moment of desperation he went to sleep with dogs and woke up with fleas. I am not sure what will last longer, Palastinians resolve or Netenyahus prime ministry, his entire legacy has been bombed to rubble. the bipartite leadership he seeks is based on concessions that will make him have to choose between giving up power, or giving into the Zionist front of euro/American fanatics. the Saudi agreement while not unanimous it is still a majority that see it as a way forward to stability. it comes with concessions for Israel and Palastine, which seems the best way forward. I can't see Hamas accepting it though.
  13. in south Africa the Springboks are like a religion, rugby is the dominant sport and the longest history and legacy. the problem with the two running concurrently is that nobody will focus on the cricket.
  14. it's a pity this world cup runs concurrent to the rugby
  15. this war is drawing parallels to 9-11. 2800 people died in an act of terrorism. The US then was one United nation under God declared war and flattened Afghanistan. Afghans then had about 10 years of aquited peace and prosperity, until the US left.
  16. the israel-saudi deal is the best solution to Palastinians prosperity and peace but Hamas and by extension Iran can't have that.
  17. can't find anything on groundnews.com to authenticate this, which is probably why most of this hasn't been seen by most observers and likely filtered as Hamas fog of war.
  18. I think in this interview he was talking about Germany and by inference Europe letting in to many migrants leading to erosion of customs and breakdown of civil society ie France having uprising almost on the weekly now. multiculturalism is fine in moderation as long as migrants adopt the customs of the adoptive nation.
