  1. I was listening to it on Goldbridge, Strettforf Paddock, Football terrace etc but kind of dozed off. SJR is perfect as he will fix the ailing infrastructure and off field stuff while having enough to keep recruitment up to contender levels. the fans on live chat seem to want money bags Arabs to come and just throw money around with no benefit. I can see Dubai or Qatar buying Liverpool which will be hilarious to see the ritualistic suicide of "morality".
  2. He is also a Man United fan so its quite a good partnership
  3. they have quit on Rogers, nobody plays for self ruin. yesterday was embarrassing a pure unadulterated collective sit in. Tielemans may end up at arsenal now, and maybe Maddison moves but the rest have sold the club down the river. I was prepared to drag it out further as I thought Leicester have enough to stay up but like west ham they are in serious trouble
  4. no heart, bunch of quitters. a new manager will have a hard task trying to get anything out of these charlatans
  5. Liverpool want Bellingham but someone like Alexis Mac Allister is probably gettable for considerably less. Now I would hate Mac Allister to go to Liverpool because my own vested interest is him becoming a toon hero but all we see in the media is Liverpool linked to superstars that invariably they are competing against Chelsea, Madrid, Barce, Man U, City, Arsenal, Spurs, PSG, Bayern etc for making the odds a lot shorter. then the fans throw a fit because Liverpool rightly so refuse to play Chelsea ball and pay extortion fees. the media knows how to work Klopp and these meltdowns are all to often. Pep gets asked probing questions to but doesn't meltdown like this. Klopp is under pressure as thinking of Liverpool and no champions league football is unthinkable for the biggest team in England less than a year off a pursuit of a quadruple.
  6. the whinging is a bit much, he has made the biggest signing so far this window while Arsenal, City, Newcastle, Spurs have done nothing and Man U have only loaned a player. Liverpool's midfield situation is down to Klopp preceding continuity, he didn't know nor is it predicted that Thiago and Fabinho would fall off the cliff. he has been backed with 140m on two forwards, while Nunez was needed, Gapko could have been left out for a new midfielder.
  7. Only Newcastle, Man U and Arsenal so far but all seem legit good coming from a channel that derives from the Athletic. on the Newcastle one, Alexis Mac Allister would be better money spent than James Maddison because he fits a need perfectly. the alternatives were Lo Celso who I don't like due to his stupid injury history and Connor Gallagher who needs to leave Chelsea to save his career and I'm a Gallagher fan, that said I would only pay Chelsea the value of how they treat him, he is treated like a spare wheel, played out of position and lambasted, 25m is the most I'd pay for him and is fair value for a player Chelsea do not value. in defence, Maxence Lacroix and Milan Skrinriar are good shouts, just because our defense is good doesnt mean it can't be made better
  8. what's up with Maddison, he got injured before the world cup, and has been awol since. Last I read he was seeing a knee specialist.
  9. I think the damage controlling that some of the fans come up with is hilarious. People like Terry Flewers, Mark Goldbridge, Howson can come up with like the glazers don't spend is utter garbage. They have shelled 1.2bn over 6 years which is double City and Liverpool, the club just bought bad players and that comes down to people in recruitment not the Glazers. the off season was comedy watching you spend 3 months trying to get De Jong only to shell out on Casemero and Antony. while Casemero is the better option over de jong, he will be 36 or 37 at the end of his 300k a week deal, if he regresses it may not look so rosy and time catches everyone. for now it worked out well but 65m is a big outlay for diminishing returns
  10. you have been linked to Thuram and Depay, both better than him. don't catch feels, the idea of man United signing a 31 year old who flopped in the premier league and would struggle in the championship is baffling. you just need to get over your "people must not talk about man United" complex.
  11. I think last season burnt out a few of the players, the mental mburnout going from a quadruple to domestic cups only was a massive mental sledgehammer
  12. not sure how Mctominay suits our needs, he is another longstaff, jack of all trades master of none.
  13. not sure the source for the Mctominay link is anything more than papertalk. he will go from first backup at Man United to second backup with us
  14. the hard cold truth is that the death of south African cricket started in the mid 2000s when the United cricket board of south Africa became cricket south Africa and was constituted by a board of politicians pushing transformation over merit. while the golden generation of Smith, Kallis, Dr Villiers, Amla, Steyn, Morkel and in patches Prince, Philander and sadly to late for Rabada by 2015 SA cricket with years of politically driven police's destroyed a decent first class level now our local and grass roots cricket requires quotas that has seen out best up and coming seek citizenship in England and Australia. The Springboks are all this country has left.
  15. wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the league
  16. it's funny how we kind of won the lottery. we were rumoured to be interested in Lampard and Slippy, Slippy got sacked, Frankie is close and Eddie has come out absolute champagne.
  17. I wanted either of Bendiashile or Botman in the summer, we got Botman. in the summer I would like Skinriar
  18. Chelsea like Barcelona can spend as much as they want without consequences
