  1. I don't know where to start. Maybe with this.
  2. By far the worst plotline in the show was the capture of the Wight. I'm not saying the writing this season is good. It really isn't. But this is the path the shows writing has been on pretty much since season 5.... "Priority 1. We need to deliver 4 wow moments a season. Priority 2. 8 seasons max".
  3. Two things I'm getting from this... 1. The Group think mentality of the internet is powerful 2. How many issues you can find with something when you flip that switch to start looking for things that are wrong.
  4. Yeah but if he's not third or fourth choice for that forward spot by September we've done something wrong.
  5. Sensational! No longer is Iago Aspas’ the most famous corner kick ever taken at Anfield. And Oakley played a huge part in that.
  6. Putting aside my previous point of a game that is more enjoyable and mouth watering. We might have a better chance against Spurs, but if we lose then we have to watch them lift the cup. Ajax would have a better chance, but at least I could stomach the outcome.
  7. Because its boring? Or you think our chances are better vs non-English?
  8. It would be a harder game for us but I'd still prefer to see a Liverpool Ajax final. In fact I was hoping we'd draw Ajax in each stage of the knock outs just because I thought it would be an awesome clash and I wanted the chance to play them. It's the kind of matchup that you want to see for your club, playing another really special side, and not one you come across every day.
  9. P.s the scene with Ghost gave me a bad feeling and also kinda broke my heart a little
  10. Just keep suspending disbelief chaps. This show has always relied on it and plot holes are always lurking
  11. Ok now my thoughts on the episode...
  12. I have absolutely no idea how this show will end. Presumably Cersei loses but absolutely I couldn't even guess who is in power in each major Castle by the end.
  13. Reflecting on Jon he really hasn't proven to be all that great for a while now. His ignorance as Lord Commander got him killed. He lost the battle of the bastards, with his emotion driven charge delivering his whole army into the hands of Ramsey Bolton. His tactical setup for this battle was appalling and really there were great commanders like Jamie available that wound up in infantry roles being hugely under utilised. Obviously his dumbest move was to charge viserian, reminiscent of the same temper based mistake he made against ramsey. And he obviously didn't get the final job done against the night King. It is a bit of a letdown when all through the series and even Morso the books you get this constant sense that this man has the potential to be one of the great military leaders.
  14. @Machado Theon was absolutely fucked mate. He was surrounded by the others and wights. He knew he had no chance but chose to go out very bravely rather than cowarding out like when he last fought euron. I actually enjoyed Theons journey in this episode even though it seems unlikely he would have been the best among his men to be there till the end. At one point with him on the ground I was thinking "he could do this. A Prince. Born amidst salt and smoke... This could be a big twist on tptwp prophecy."
  15. She's still there by the end of book 5.
  16. Bottom line it wasn't the greatest battle sequence in tv and movie history.
  17. Two months seems long for an adductor injury.
  18. I had no issues with this. With Be as n on their side they were never going to get played and if LF genuinely felt for Sansa as he claimed then maybe he does let his guard down a bit... Still though I hope to find the book version of LF has more complex motivations.
  19. I liked it as a 9/10 but I still could easily take a negative side in the debate. Mostly because it's prioritised spectacle over narrative consistency and general logic of the plot way too often since the show rode ahead of the books. Best example I can offer was the half baked plot last season to journey North on foot to capture a Wight. This episode had a similar level of "don't question the logic, just sit back and enjoy the spectacle" moments. Sam surviving being in a dogpile of wights for 4 hours. Davos weaponless but untouched. Everybody except the main characters dying. Everyone important in the crypts surviving what should have been the most comprehensive bloodbath of them all. The absolutely shocking stupidity of tactics to fight the wights and of putting people in the crypts when they knew he raises the dead
