Honestly I both liked him and thought he was a pretty good manager. He embraced a "Brendan the Believer" managerial persona as a tactic he could use to control the stories in a similar way to Mourinho. It made him appear a likeable narcissistic douche to most. Whilst with us he was trying to emulate or at least draw heavy inspiration from Guardiolas Barca team in style which was the flavor of the month at the time. But it proved to be difficult in the EPL against teams that parked the bus and fouled you. But I think he'll have learned from that experience. Id be interested to see his defensive record at Celtic as that did appear a major failing of his playing style with us. This may be a huge call but I think ultimately with a better signing than Balotelli or with Sturridges fitness not collapsing after Suarez left there's a decent chance he could still be our manager. I'd be a bit disappointed if he jumped ship on Celtic mid season.

I don't think politicians these days are incompetent honestly. I think is become a lot harder to be a politician in the current age. I'm rewatching Vikings season 1 and loving it. Early Ragnar Rollo and Lags is absolutely where it's at.

It was a slow burn for me in season 1 and 2. I was watching with no real expectations after finishing the shield and on holidays with nothing better to do. I imagine expectations would be key and with people hyping it so much now it could well be a different story for those who are late to the party.

It's a slow burn. It's not gripping she of the seat stuff. It's a new level of gritty realism with no sugar coating. For me season 4 of The Wire is probably the greatest single season of any show I've ever seen. It set a standard that was hugely influential in kicking off the golden age of TV series that we're currently in.

I'm totally an outsider on this debate but fuck I have some sympathy for your current PM. Seems to be in about the most impossible of political positions that i can imagine and with a shit load of urgency. I'd give her credit simply still breathing given the pressure that must be upon her.

But with everyone fit we don't now have two players for every position. The only cover at LB and RB is existing outfield players where previously we had Moreno and Clyne. Putting injuries aside that alone is reason enough to dip into the market.

I agree. Nintendo doesnt really play as a rival to the other major consoles. They’ve found a niche. But I do miss the days where they had a dedicated 3rd party developer like Rare in their corner churning out the likes of Golden Eye 007, Banjo Kazoiee, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini, etc. Mainly because it upped the volume of releases on the system and meant less dry spells between interesting games. Right now there’s been nothing Ive been super excited about since their initial launch titles, and Super Smash seems like the biggest one to come along (If I get that I’ll be late to the party). It would be great if there was 2-3 super smash level excitement releases a year. I’m not craving more FIFA type games, or being able to play the low spec version of some major title. I like the style of games Nintendo make. I just want more of them.

Mate you've played fifa on switch? How does it compare with fifa on another console?

Ultimately what Nintendo needs is more third party developers to come to the party. But most are too lazy a need just want to churn out their games as easy as possible without much customization for the system specs.

What really got me was how hard it was to finish the game. The whole game actually went up a notch at the point i thought I'd finished it... i may have 500 moons but it was the dark and in particular darker side of the moon that I loved the most... probably the hardest piece of any Mario game I've ever played and super satisfying to complete it. I started out with it at 9/10 but it got comfortably up to 10 for me by the end.
