Didn't we used to be able to post pictures from our phone direct to the site? I don't seem to be able to anymore unless I'm missing something.
  5. Worth cracking on mate. Hit those silver metallic blocks in each level and it shows you where every moon is on the map, so doesn't take long to collect the next 200.... toadette alone gives you 25. This last level there is 14 fkn difficult stages to get up to Bowser. All needs to be done in one take. Die and you go back to the start. I'm right into it but would say it's definitely the most difficult piece in any mario game. I'm determined to finish it.
  6. This level is fucking impossible! Hardest piece of any game I've ever played. Has anyone ever finished it?
  7. It starts really abruptly. A little clip of some bad guys coming to the kong island then I'm off and running. But never telling me why i need to collect so many items along the way. What's the point of all the jigsaw pieces? Banana coins? Would expect level 1 to include more orientation. I also found the movement mechanics a bit awkward. Am such a huge fan of the original donkey kong country... maybe my expectations were too high. But cant see how this rates as 91% on metacritic compared to 97% for mario odyssey. I'd give it 70 at best from what I'm seeing so far.
  8. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. First impressions. Quite underwhelming. Undercooked on blending a story around the levels, and on telling you more about the many items you need to pick up along the way. Hopefully it will improve.
  9. Mate i got one for Christmas and the first time I've played it consistently had been the last 3 weeks. Have totally got into this mario odyssey though. Up to 520 moons now and trying to tackle Bowser for the final time in legitimately the hardest level of Mario i've ever played. 6 hoirs on this so far and can only get halfway through the level!
  10. I was the same. I got one for Christmas and only played it occasionally. Main reason I'm out of the habit of gamng and dingy think to pull it out. My wife's away right now so instead of chucking pin netflix at night I'm firing up the switch. Also taking it on the train to and from work which is useful if you can get a seat....
  11. I have so much time for the way Nintendo make games. Always so expansive and sure to keep you busy for a good few weeks
  12. I like when games leave a bit to do after the end bit but it seems to be a metric ton here... I'm just touched down and am fluffin around in the mushroom world trippin on all the mario 64 nostalgia! Think i peed a little when i fist stepped inside that castle as the familiar music kicked in... I just bought donkey kong country tropical freeze as my next game but am also contemplating the Zelda expansion packs.
  13. I thought i finished it but then i met a little toad girl that made me think totally otherwise
  14. Super Mario Oddysey on switch. Top notch.

Seriously mate whereabouts you talking? Its still possible to get returns in smaller markets. A friend of mine has a dozen properties in small towns that have a somewhat diverse source of employment (Not just one single company) and they are all positively geared. the ratio of house prices to rental returns are way more favorable in rural areas. He's having his mortgages paid for him and making a profit. At the end he can sell them or keep them and the stream of income will become vey attractive once those mortgages are down to zero.
  16. I've started watching vampire diaries with the mrs... Bearable show.
  17. Just starting on season 1 of prison break. Enjoying it so far but defs wondering how a show about a prison escape can be drawn out for 4-5 seasons.
  18. Recent watches include: Black Lightning. Shooter. Vikings season 5. Designated survivor. The highlight was Homeland seasons 5 and 6. I forgot how addictive that show was. Currently watching Manhunt: Unabomber and liking it so far.
  19. With the movies i agree. anf with marvel agents of shield. But have caught all the netflix series from marvel and they are all on point. Iron Fist and Daredevil were my favourites.

    Cricket

Marcus Trescothick recently published a book where he said he preferred to suck a specific brand of mints on the field because they seemed to be the most effective at shining up the ball. It does seem that stepping outside the lines is pretty common. But actually doing it with sandpaper is just so dumb and a different degree of blatant. It is way too harsh imo. Match fixing cheats have been punished less than this.

I think to some extent it also shows you how the world has gone mad and how the court of public opinion is leading to sentences that do not got the crime. A year out of the game and 3 million dollars in lost revenue for knowing about the scratching of one side of a ball in a game they were going to lose anyway. There'd be less of a punishment for jumping into the stands and smacking rival fans in the face with your cricket bat. The punishment should be appropriate to the crime not to the level of public outrage generated.

Just forfeited a percentage of his match fee. I only recall waqar younis being suspended before for ball tampering. Most others have been fined.

and banned from IPL which sees them each missing out on $2.5M for the season. And Warners lost at least one sponsorship deal. Where does this stand now in the hall of ball tampering punishments? It feels pretty fuckin harsh now to me particularly with the savage reputational hit they've already taken.

Looks like Cricket Australia is about to ban Smith and Warner for 12 months.
