  1. What kind of person knows where footballers live? Just seems a bit strange all these people on social media have the addresses of footballers... Completely abnormal behaviour.
  2. Sampaoli out as Marseille manager. Pretty late into the summer to make a change now.
  3. By the time this deal runs out, Robert Lewandowski will be approaching 60... Crazy short term thinking here.
  4. Selling off their future, so they can buy a soon to be 34 year old striker. And probably selling off a bunch of young players, as well, to do so. Have seen this before, and they still haven't learnt.
  5. Madness. All this for probably just a few seasons spending money for them. A decade of negligence, and they are going to be paying for it for decades to come.
  6. Barcelona members have voted in favour of selling off 49% of their licensing and merchandising, and 25% of their television rights. Another summer, another firesale.
  7. Aston Villa seem to be signing up a lot of young Scottish players recently, and Steven Gerrard endears himself further to half of Glasgow by taking their best young player. Adding him to Dundee United’s Kerr Smith and Ewan Simpson from Hearts, as other players signed from Scotland this summer.
  8. Andrea Pirlo is set to be announced as the new head coach of Turkish Süper Lig team Fatih Karagümrük. His time at Juventus was clearly a case of too much too soon for him. Think Agnelli was suduced by the success of Zidane and Guardiola had when taking over at Real Madrid and Barcelona, but at least they had some experience from coaching at youth level beforehand. Whereas Pirlo was set for that, with the Juventus U23s in the lower leagues of Italian football, before being thrust into the first team far too soon. His squad will already consist of a few Italians, and a few players with Serie A experience. So will not be totally unfamiliar to him.
  9. Brighton have confirmed Dan Ashworth is joining. Wouldn't be farfetched to think that they'll have an agreement about no further staff or players are to follow him there.
  10. After the dismiss of the Super League, now was the time for UEFA to take back some spots from the bigger leagues. Or at least take back some automatic places from them. Instead, they do this shite and give what would be 5 automatic places to one country. Horrific.
  11. Raith Rovers have stated he will not play for the club. Expect some pressure on the club's chairman, remaining directors and manager to follow. At a time where clubs have already been struggling, losing sponsors and (more importantly) supporters, they'll have a lot of pressure to do so. A horrific story, but it's at least a glimmer of hope that fans still have a huge amount of sway in the running of a so-called community club. I expect it'll take a lot for some fans to return and even more for the return of the people that had been previously associated with the club. Some of who had given the club their time, efforts and support. They, no doubt, have had a very emotional week and a lot of tough decisions to step away.
  12. What is happening with Botafogo? Seen some stuff online, but very simplistic. Seems one of Palace's owner is buying them?

Cleveland are also changing their name. It will be the 'Cleveland Guardians' after this season.
  15. Seemingly Aberdeen are signing Matty Longstaff on loan. Is he any good, or just another one to warm the bench?
  16. Lawrence Shankland moving to Belgium. Will be a huge loss for Dundee United but, for £1m in the last year of his contract, it's hard to turn that down. Had a tough year last season, but that says more about the team around him and the lack of almost any creativity in the team.
  17. Roma sign Matias Vina. After watching Bruno Peres play left wing back for a spell last season, it wouldn't take that much to be an upgrade. He also has an Italian passport, so won't take up a Non-EU spot. Roma have had mixed success when buying direct from South America, but the value can be too good to stop going back.
