  1. They have some key signings to make, trying to replace Kent and Morelos with no money coming in for them. Both didn't have their best season this year, but Morelos still managed to score some crucial goals. Colak looks to be a good player, but after his great start to last season didn't have quite the impact after his injury. Suspect there is still quite a lot of outgoing to come over the summer as well. Whether it's players that have dropped off, like Barisic or Roofe, players who have probably stayed a season too long, like Glen Kamara, or players that simply aren't good enough to compete with Celtic, like Scott Wright. A concern Rangers fans might have is that they are constantly shopping in the lower leagues of England, where almost everyone is overpriced. With Ross Wilson having left the club, might be time to shift their strategy and look further into Europe (or possibly beyond) and find some hidden talents everywhere.
  2. With McGregor retiring, about a year too late, it doesn't say much for their confidence in Jon McLaughlin. Expecting Butland or Robby McCrorie to be their No.1 next season. McCrorie had a decent run of games towards the end of the season, and is coming to the stage of his career where he needs to be playing every week either at Rangers or at another club. I remember Butland being pretty highly rated as a younger player, especially around the time he moved to Stoke. 9 Caps for England, but only 17 first team appearances in the last three seasons. Looks to be the perfect move for both player and club. A chance to resurrect his career, like Joe Hart has across the city, and a low risk player to bring in for Rangers.
  3. Bookies have listed as some of the favourites to take over: Kjetil Knudsen (Bodo/Glimt Manager) Enzo Maresca (Man City Assistant) David Moyes (West Ham Manager) Brendan Rodgers (Former Manager) John Kennedy (Current Coach) Graham Potter (Former Brighton Manager) Jesse Marsch (Former Leeds Manager) John Dahl Tomasson (Blackburn Manager) Scott Brown (Former Captain / Fleetwood Manager) Steve Clarke (Scotland Manager) Hardly, the most inspiring of lists. But these rarely are. To me, the stand out is the current favourite, Knudsen. Celtic will be familiar with him, as his Norwegian team beat Celtic home and away last season in the Europa Conference League knockouts. Perhaps a bit sheepish after their last appointment from Norway, Ronny Delia, but Knudsen has had more success in European competitions.
  4. 1. Wembley Stadium (London) (capacity 90,652) 2. Principality Stadium (Cardiff) (73,952) 3. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) (62,322) 4. Etihad Stadium (Manchester) (61,000) 5. Everton Stadium (Liverpool) (52,679) 6. St James' Park (Newcastle) (52,305) 7. Villa Park (Birmingham) (52,190) 8. Hampden Park (Glasgow) (52,032) 9. Aviva Stadium (Dublin) (51,711) 10. Casement Park (Belfast) (34,500)
  5. What an ending to the game though!
  6. Season is under a week away and the playoff format has yet to be decided. Not a great start to the season, and not a great look for the league.
  7. Replacement incoming though.
  8. We always do these days
  9. If Celtic Park and Ibrox were included, that would be three stadiums in Glasgow. Any bid from the SFA would include Hampden (a hopefully redeveloped Hampden), and there would be no end to the shambles it would cause if they picked only one of the others as well. Personally, if Hampden isn't going to be redeveloped, I'd rather have the other two instead. But the SFA were always going to include their own stadium.
  10. Villa Park, Birmingham, Everton Stadium, Liverpool London Stadium, London Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London Wembley Stadium, London City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester St James' Park, Newcastle Stadium of Light, Sunderland Old Trafford, Trafford Dublin Arena, Dublin Croke Park, Dublin Casement Park Stadium, Belfast Hampden Park, Glasgow National Stadium of Wales, Cardiff
  11. Hilarious to see Rio Ferdinand and Roy Keane squirming over Ronaldo being dropped. What's the point of having these awful pundits, when they aren't even impartial to what they are asked to analyse.
  12. Seems a very snide way of getting more votes from the Spain / Portugal bid. Just the very thing to gain popularity to just throw Ukraine in there. (Although nothing will be as bad as the Brewdog special Ukraine beer...) I'm accepting of the point of having multiple countries are going to have to be involved in hosting World Cups / European Championships from now on, because of the size of the competition. But at some point they need to make geographic sense. And this is about as ridiculous as it's getting, the previous best being the Argentina/ Uruguay bid with Columbia tacked on for some reason.
  13. Signs at 10am. Scores a thunderbastard by 3:45pm.
  14. Billy Gilmour not been given a squad number?
  15. Conmebol launches its official bid with a joint Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile bid.
  16. Arfield proving his worth yet again. Made the difference after he came on.
  17. Barisic sleeping, Soutar outmuscled and Nouble scores his first goal for Livingston, to give them a shock early lead at Almondvale.
  18. New season starts today, with Livingston Vs Rangers at lunchtime. Premiership Champions Celtic are at home to Aberdeen tomorrow. Both games are live on Sky Sports, with Livingston Vs Rangers being the first SPFL match to be broadcast in UHD.
  19. And back a bit further and don't spend $56.1 million combined to sign Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, neither of which could play for the first six months of their deals.
