  1. All of those clubs minus Cádiz (and Zaragoza sort of) don’t speak Castilian (as a first language).
  2. Yeah, his club career would be elongated and benefitted by miles. As harsh as it may sound, Argentina just brings him problems although I doubt he feels that way because he loves his country and I would expect his biggest wish is to have won the World Cup with Argentina. But that isn't upto one man and unfortunately that hasn't worked out for him. As for Coutinho, I reckon he's a tremendous player but one that's not easy to fit into a team so everyone else functions properly. His position and Barça's play are compromised one way or the other depending on which one is changed for the better... It'll be interesting how Barcelona setup next season because I expect changes.
  3. Remember Jordi Alba himself was shipped off 3 hours drive down the road to Valencia before he made a mark for himself and was brought back. He’s had a tremendous career to date! Never thought it would’ve been that easy to find a replacement for Eric Abidal.
  4. Barcelona sell Messi? Unless he wants to leave which isn’t the case, then they’re not allowed to sell Messi.
  5. I hope this is for real. Can’t wait to see him perform for Barça. @El Profesor
  6. Off to Naples and then to Galicia for the next 3 weeks... May be posting less. Behave yourselves while I’m gone you naughty people!

  7. I don't know how closely you've been following Barça in the last year or so mate. But till now we've had one official attempt foiled by not reading the club constitutional laws to censure the current president and board. Now in recent days there's been Víctor Font who is building a big support in the attempt to censure again and this time not make the same mistake as the previous group. What I'm saying is that the only hooe is to get this present board out as soon as possible. The way they win over sentiments is to buy big names and relax the uproar in very particular moments. Barcelona isn't Real Madrid and never will be. They (Barça) can only succeed by doing things in their traditional manner because chaos brings the club traditionally down to its knees and there's been four famous depressions throughout the club's history where they suffered a lot. Barcelona can't live like Real Madrid even if they match their earnings year upon year and Real Madrid cannot be and function like Barça. One basis it's history around its foundation which is its academy (Barcelona) while the other club have always been globetrotters. When Messi finishes? It will be the end of a dynasty. Curiously the most successful dynasty in the history of football including the Franco infused 60s era for Real. Nothing lasts forever but then again you don't get Lionel Messi's appearing out of nowhere everyday. I would say that unless the club can return to its traditions then they will indeed go through another depression. But hey! I wouldn't have it any other way to be honest. It's a genuine club and Inknow that sentence won't be understood by many. You have to study deep into the culture and the history of this sport within Spain to understand why I said that and how it can be a genuine sentiment. Barça fans have always held themselves as a superior football phenomenon in Spain which has always been the envy of those from the capital... Even with their riches and success. Imagine that! Imagine being second best (aside from contemporary history) and still be able to muster unequivocal envy. Cycles my friend! Cycles and football is just a sport. I've already started to teach the religion of true football to my son so as he doesn't suffer a bout of anything untoward.
  8. I also find it very interesting although I wish I was analysing this sort of thing from a club I don't have sympathies towards. I have this sixth sense that tells me that the board is almost in an internal crisis mode which is why they signed the fan favourite (Eric Abidal) to replace what they said was a resignation from Robert Fernández. The dealings are terrible and they only way they know how to complete is to get the player to play rebel. All of it is totally systematic of large corporation dealings outside sport. In business it's acceptable, but football used to be a breed apart. Use to be.
  9. The difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona is that Real have eternally been able to live in chaos. They've learned to deal with it even to the detriment of seasons going awol in the past three decades. Barcelona have become a buying club only in the last 20 years even if they always had one or two great foreigners. Real have always been ,pre adept in that sense (I won't go into the reasons behind how they became used to this though ). Add to it all this ragtime bunch of individuals and this is the result. People must always remember that Josep Maria Bartomeu isn't even a football fan. His sport is basketball 100% which even there he's managed to ruin a dynasty in 5 years, so imagine with football. But this isn't an opportunity to talk Barça's internal political history, just if you had more info on what the scenario was like because there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever Barça need Arthur or someone of the ilk in July, not January.
  10. I know mate. This is evident after what Romildo Bozan (Grêmio president) said three days ago that there's an agreement signed which Grêmio as an entity will always respect but anything other than that and then negotiations start anew. This Barcelona board have consistently done this which is why honourable people like Andoni Zubizarreta and just the other day, Robert Fernández have been sacked! https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/gremio-apremia-barcelona-cumplir-pactado-con-arthur-6867798
  11. Oh, they're sure they want him alright. Don't have any doubts about that... Due to the fact this is the most stupid Barça board in the history of the club (rivalling Gaspart's tenure and maybe beating it), they're playing silly buggers with Grêmio because they now need him earlier than was first agreed. Take into account that the agreement between Grêmio and Barcelona was done before Barça even had an inkling Iniesta was going to call it a day. Now they want him earlier desperately, but don't want to pay any extra money for an amendment of the agreement. If the board scupper this signing, the members will lynch them!
  12. He is excellent! Barça want to bring him in early but the contract signed with Grêmio stipulates the winter transfer window. What do you think will happen?
  13. Big signing for Villarreal who use their right to buy cheap Gerard Moreno from Espanyol. When Moreno moved to Esoanyol there was a clause that Villarreal would always have forst option to buy at €12m. Don’t Espanyol feel atupid now considering the interest Gerard has lifeted throughout Europe this season.

Your life is about to change and from that moment on you WILL believe in miracles! Good luck mate!...
  15. Things happen mate and then arrive those that rise to the occasion and leave others that go on and on and never grow up. He gives me a headache mate although it would be amusing to see him get the job to be honest. Real are finding it pretty difficult to find someone to take this particular job on with Conte being the latest to turn it down if paper talk is to be believed. So maybe turning back on football's version of Donald Trump could actually be funny.
  16. He’s also a primetime plonker.
  17. Ex Celta and Real Sociedad coach has today been appointed the new head coach of Girona. Machí moved to Sevilla and this has paved the way for Eusebio Sacristán to arrive to the Catalan club that had such a great first ever campaign in La Liga last season.
  18. For some reason it's in my makeup... I most vigorously criticise those I most love!

@Devon Von Devon Like I said mate... Those I love most I criticise the harshest because I expect more from them. My wife receives her fair share although I’m very careful with her just in case I get the frying pan on the head treatment.

If it’s just a strain it’ll heal quickly if it’s immobilised. Must’ve been a real dodgy move you made or didn’t warm up at all beforehand.

They’ve replaced the whole limb? So what did they say it is in the end? Immobilising it is the best method for a quicker recovery no matter what type of muscle injury it is.

The recovery time will depend on the damage you may have actually done. If it's a pull then it's obviously a shorter spell but if it's a tear it could be a couple of months or more spending on how bad it is. The popping sound doesn't sound too promising but I suggest you go and see your doctor so as to find out what the damage is and what you should do next. What I wouldn't do is overuse the area until you find out. All obvious stuff but our first instincts are to stretch these things hoping it's just a strain.
  22. Coupled with monotone answers and something like that, then I didn't get that and still don't. Honestly... Things have to be clearer on this forum. There's too many sublimation going on all over the place and it's tiresome. Some call it banter, but it goes beyond that.
  23. Never called anyone a dipshit and if I've called someone a retard (can't remember when) then they've merited it. Rattling someone is something down to the person rattled and you should look to yourself there too or do you see yourself as the Dalai Lama? Now I get it... You should be braver next time I send you a PM asking you these things man.
