  1. FIshing is very successful in Barcelona.
  2. I can make one for you. In all honesty, they wear too much make up to really be able to ascertain how fit they are. I definitely love that scissor action they do with their legs. Anyway... Wasn’t watching the diving that day and instead how Busquets bossed everyone and everything surrounding him.
  3. Have you brought all that overhere mate?
  4. Really happy with this although I think he could do a lot better by moving and being a top midfielder anywhere he wants without being a handyman for Barcelona. Sergi Roberto is a brilliant player and one that could play for any club in midfield.
  5. Latest breaking news on MARCA states that Gareth Bale has been told by the club that they will be listening to offers for him and that he’s been put on the market. According to a leak from inside the club (not a leak in their constantly renovated stadium toilets), Bale’s credit is finished at the club and that a squad restructure will occur this summer. So where could Bale be going! Man Utd? Chelsea? Back to Spurs with Kane going the other way?
  6. The latest news this morning on Arthur to FC Barcelona comes from Brazilian sports media UOL and O Globo who are adamant the agreement between all three parties (Arthur, Gremio and Barça) is closed and set at €30m plus €10m in variables. In Brazil they’re saying that the announcement will be imminent but Barcelona sources are saying the deal isn’t yet closed and that from their part work is still in progress and isn’t imminent.
  7. From what I understood some weeks back is that Arthur would be either loaned back out to Gremio or to someone in Europe so that when he does arrive he will slot right into the first squad. I think if he does eventually sign he will be being signed to be a first team player. Everything I hear and read is of a player that’s quite special and unique.
  8. I hope it’s for real because I’m really excited about this particular signing if it happens.
  9. Justin Kluivert has been connected to Barcelona for quite some time now. Some months back his father Patrick Kluivert said in Spanish radio that his dream would be to see his son one day at Barça but only when he’s totally formed and ready.
  10. Gary Lineker with his four sons went to Grosvenor House in Mayfair where the FC Barcelona expedition are staying before tomorrow night's Champions League tie against Chelsea. Some were rather surprised he made it so public with Chelsea being an English club.
  11. Jan Oblak in this weekend in the game Atleti played against Athletic Bilbao!
  12. But we measure players like Xavi and Iniesta for those exact attributes. Benzemá is was a goal scorer, and a good one... Although never massively prolific, he did score goals with the ability to combine very well with the midfield and if playing with another front man, he knew how to find him. Those attributes were the exact reason why I wanted him at Arsenal so badly but we bought first we tried to make Walcott into a striker, then we bought Giroud, then Sanogo, then Welbeck, then Lucas Pérez, then Lacazette and now Aubameyang.
  13. Messi would’ve been seen as shit if he had decided to be somone else’s gimp too mate.
  14. He wasted a large part of his career as an employee for the CR7 product placement publicity unfortunately. Obviously nobody told him you can't turn back the clock.
  15. Bob Dylan... What can you say!

      Viva la FCB

      Dr. Gonzo

Better songwriter than performer. Some of the best songs he's ever written were performed better by others. All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix), Mr. Tambourine Man (The Byrds), Knockin' on Heavens Door (Guns N Roses). Gotta disagree with @Spike here, do not listen to Neil Young

I didn't know Starbucks did things like that but aside from whoever offers you the opportunity, the important thing is that you make the most of your enthusiasm to learn and take advantage of any positive situation put before you. Teaching is one of the most wonderful jobs in the world. I would say it's the most rewarding and something tells me you'll be very good at it.
  17. There seems to be various ways to ascertain someone's intelligence and Suárez definitely came third out of three in that test!
  18. Hahaha... I still believe exactly the same thing mate and it's unfair to quote £28m in today's market because when you signed Firmino that was a very high transfer fee,. The only players that had reached the £70m+ range were names of the ilk of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Luis Suárez. (I could add Neymar when he moved to Barça but nobody still knows the actual fee on that one for sure).
  19. These sorts of things do happen to be honest and have occurred at every club. To be honest, for me when Kane first burst onto the scene I didn't see anything special, but then again I'm not paid to spot these things.
  20. We have no idea what may or may not be with another coach as to the quality of our players. I personally rate Mustafi to be honest and Koscielny has shown in the past that he's a top defender. Bellerín is for me and for many one of the best young right-backs in Europe while Monreal is solid and has even shown he's capable as a centre-back when needed. So in theory they're not that bad at all and anyhow, I've always blamed our midfield mostly when it comes to letting so much pressure be received from opponents. You can have the biggest names in the game at the back but if your midfield doesn't function properly or isn't well compensated, then you'll always suffer.
  21. I mean, it's way too early to judge him because the chap really hasn't had a chance. At first he didn't get into the team because he'd been injured for a while at Borussia Dortmund and plus he was new. Then he started making substitute appearances as do all new players and suddenly in his first full appearance he got injured and was out for nearly four months. Comes back and in his first game back gets injured for almost a month... Comes back against Getafe and now he's got a stomach bug. It's unfair to judge him but I have a feeling he just won't fit in. Nothing I've read or heard, just me and my experience over the years watching new players go to that club which is why I compared him to Alexis because his game has a lot in common with his. Only time will tell but the amount invested in him and the fact it's known they chose him over Kylian Mbappé will have the technical team watching it all like a hawk because the socios are volatile at Barça.
