  1. Don't get me wrong mate because I like you... But you have no idea what you're on about. You're talking crap! This is tactical, and the terminology is used because... Hmmm... Because it's used and it's used in debating a tactical format that may have been used during a game. I can go back to when Barcelona beat Real Madrid 5-0 at the Camp Nou (Mourinho's first "Clásico") and the Spanish media called him a chicken for having played a "double pivot" against Barça. It was the first time it had been used in a Clásico and the reason a big deal was made about it is because traditionally when those two meet nobody's meant to pull out. Anyhow... What I'm getting involved for, I have no idea. This was about someone coming out with something retarded on Busquets being past it. He should be banned from the forum.
  2. I'm not using any flavour of the month terminology. It's a Spanish terminology that's also used in Portugal and Italy... It's been used for decades! I'll use it mate, because it's a part of football. Just because some don't know what the hell is going on and a midfielder is just a number of individuals that play in a particular area of the football pitch, that doesn't mean someone can just make an affirmation based on my cat's arse.
  3. Busquets is on his own in his position and Barça traditionally play one pivot whereas the argument here is Kroos and Modrić which are part of a double pivot and a midfielder in front of them. Obviously everyone in football helps everyone else out unless you're Cristiano Ronaldo or especially Gareth Bale (hence why Real play a double), but nobody in planet football right now or for a long while comes close to Busquets which is why he's one of the highest paid footballers in the world.
  4. It's just come to light that Neymar had signed his PSG contract two months ago! What a scumbag... He was waiting for PSG to sort out the financing which they couldn't do and in the end QSI paid for it (which is illegal and lets wait to see what happens there) and that was what all the stalling was about. He fed Barça and his colleagues a right old fairytale! hahahaha. What a guy!
  5. Busquets has just turned 29 this July. He's in the prime of his physical abilities and considering players in his position play into their mid to late 30s, that comment is based on a fundamental following of EA's FIFA game or social media... Or maybe the fact he started very young and seems to have been around forever. But it's one of the most ridiculous comments I've read lately and believe me, he on TFF365 there's been some real top ones lately.
  6. Thats Rubbish. Where Real Madrid play a double pivot with both Kroos and Modrić looking out for one another, Busquets is on his own in his position at Barça. Not only are we talking about the fact he's the best in the business... There is nothing even close to him. He is on his own in this respect! We hvae to understand tactics and the situation at both clubs before being able to formulate an opinion. If you do make that opinion, then use the facts to dispute it. But maybe the Barcelona media or sonething disgusting about the club should determine what we think about how good an individual is. Busquets should be both Kroos and Modrić's idol ahd should look toward being as legendary as him.
  7. None of those two even touch Busquets.
  8. I agree with you mate... Chambers is a better footballer than both Holding and Gabriel. There is no doubt about this... We are a total mess but fear not because I reckon this is going to be a topsy turvey season for many.
  9. Even though I think Paulinho can do a good job. He has been expensive and a mark of how this board are terrible on the technical side of things. They sacked Zubizarreta who brought in Ter Stegen, Bravo and Rakitić and from there on it's been downhill apart from Umtiti.
  10. Kroos is indeed a fantastic player and one that doesn't make the headlines too much. More to be said about him than anyone else probably because since he went to Real Madrid he no longer played in those advanced midfield positions that would give him more limelight in terms of scoring goals. Now he's firmly in that Xabi Alonso position and he does is marvellously well.
  11. I actually think it would be better for Barça not to buy anyone this summer and wait for next year.
  12. If Neymar has gone for €222m then Isco is definitely worth the €700m. Would rather have Isco any day of the week!
  13. I really really really hope this isn't true. It's starting to look at Gaspart's tenure as president where Barça got the buy-out clause for Figo and they panicked and bought Emmanuel Petit and Rochemback.
  14. I have a feeling you're talking about fans of other football clubs in Spain. Nobody likes his showboating and he was especially criticised for doing it in games where the team had gone 3-0 up. The Barça fans like him as far as I know although he never really done anything to enamour them if you get what I mean... He hasn't got the character of a Ronaldinho. It's curious how the stick is trying to be aimed at Barcelona in some fashion. People can dig all they like... The club never done anything wrong with him while at Barça and neither did the fans. Everything is of his own making!
  15. Mate... He didn't join Eibar (the silly joke he played before all the rumours exploded)... He joined and was dying to join Barça, a team full of top players in almost every position. It's difficult to be the main man in something like that unless you're a genius and those don't come along very often. He knew where he was going, he knew where he had elected to go! Infact the only other option was Real Madrid and even there he'd have had to contend with other top players especially one who's even more heady when it comes to anything that may be contemplating taking his crown at the club let alone steal any limelight that could damage his target of the Ballon d'Or.
  16. Yeah, well it doesn't look like they're gonna do it now which is sad and a further regression in club ethics under this board. The people that ran this sort of show have now gone from the dressing room unfortunately and nobody has the respect that is required in situations such as these.
  17. Well for the players obviously... As they come out of the tunnel for the start of the match. The latest is that the rest of the team seem to have won over the more veterans and there may not be one. Long gone are the days of Puyol who wouldn't ask for anyone's opinion and say what needed to be done, point!
  18. So without the season having started yet and without having played a single game... Arsenal have their first injury of the season!!! You can't write this stuff to be honest! Alexis Sánchez will be out probably for two weeks with an abdominal injury of some sort.
  19. Some of the heavyweights in the Barcelona squad like Iniesta, Piqué (yes, incredibly, Piqué), Mascherano and Messi want to give Real Madrid a guard of honour in the Supercopa de España game that's to be played soon. I hope they do do it to be honest because it's a mark of respect.
  20. Barça has never been about Messi at all. To think that is to not understand anything about the club at all... There is a system, Messi was brought up in that system as was Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Puyol, Pedro etc... etc... just to name contemporary players. He FITS into the system and that's why he may seem like a focus of attention as he is the viaduct to goal opportunities and effectivity in from of goal. Neymar actually has a weird record of most chances missed in a season (two years ago) in Spain's first division. That is sick! I remember chants at Arsenal hoping Lineker's kid died of leukaemia and effigies of Beckham being hanged outside Upton Park after his stupidity in the World Cup getting himself sent-off when "lashing out" at Diego Simeone. It's a minority and pre-season events are mostly attended by kids (like the Joan Gamper) which is disturbing and at the same time makes any chanting very noticeable. I doubt he'll ever be Romario either but all of this is yet to be seen. He has the talent but his persona isn't made for football which is why Unzué gave him some stern words of advice he didn't like toward the end of the season in training.
  21. Until it happens officially I won't comment. But how good a signing is it in your opinion which is the one that counts? I've read various football pundits and past players say he's better than Mbappé.
  22. It's a very well composed post and I enjoyed reading it. There's many things I agree with and a couple I don't, but the main one I don't agree with because of what's been commented from a real Barcelona fan perspective as a large majority is the reason you've given to why they're hurt he went. They're not exactly hurt per-say... They're pissed off! The reason they're pissed off is one of the details you put in your post on the lies. It's because those lies didn't have to be verified by Dani Alves' comments the other day. It was already known which is why in that Neymar thread you have comments in reference to this and why Asura couldn't understand the reasons behind it. Plenty of players have left Barça in their prime and of dozens that have done this throughout history, only Figo and now Neymar stick out because they decieved the club and by deceiving the club you are in actual fact deceiving the fans because they're the ones that matter. Big players like Maradona, Laudrup or Schuster left and the latter two went to Real Madrid and are still highly regarded and loved by the Barça fans. In many cases in life it's not always what you do, but how you do what you did that you're judged on. Anyway... Neymar is history at Barcelona now and even though he was part of a triple winning side (the second triple of Barcelona's history), he will never be remembered as having left a legacy which adds to the whole deal surrounding his deception when he went to PSG.
  23. The problem is that they lose most of their homegrown talent mate and there's the issue... But it's also happening in Spain these days with medium sized clubs and that could provide a dip. The thing is that with all this money coming into football I can't see too much change because everything tends to balance out.
  24. Yes, but PSG (for example) winning the Champions League wouldn't say anything about Ligue1. Red Star Belgrade won it as did Steaua Bucharest and what did that mean? Plus international football isn't a measuring stick for a league's strength unless the majority of those players are playing in their home league. The whole argument and debate is a meaningless one though and that was what I was trying to transmit to Teso and his point that Neymar was somehow going to change Ligue1's status. Anything is possible in life... But there are five leagues that have dominated European football (La Liga, Serie 'A, English league, Eredivisie) and only three have had cycles, with Italy, Spain and England in the history of European competition.
