I've never said we aren't spending money. I've said quite the opposite! We spend tons load and especially on wages. We are badly managed.

It's no wonder Davison Sánchez rejected a move to Barça... He wouldn't be a first team player and he'd be mad to go there as was Paco Alcácer when he left Valencia to sit on the bench. Look at Álvaro Morata... He's had enough and there'll be others at various clubs of the same ilk in Europe.

This is how bad Wenger is doing because he is the "manager" and controls all aspects as he doesn't want a technical director. The FA Cup is a wonderful thing to win and nobody has said it isn't. But (I know you've heard it before and it's probably a bore) we are the sixth richest football club in the world and we are underperforming by comparison. We aren't and haven't been for a while, competing with the rest while others that make much less money than us are competing. You really do think Wenger is what he was once, don't you. Football has moved on and that isn't a cliché... It actually has! We have an antiquated structure at the club and what's worse is that we are fed lies year after year with Chaaay pointing one of many out only today. Anyway... It's beyond hope. He's signed a new two year contract. Let's see what he does! Let's see ey! Let's see what he does. He's the one in charge.

"Los Cules!!!" Oh my days you're pathetic.

I can believe that for the simple reason that last summer when Florentino initially went in for Paul Pogba, Zidane told the Real Madrid president that he didn't want him and that he did actually want Kanté. N'Golo Kanté is twice the player in every respect that Moon Face is.

There you have it! For the past three years Wenger has commented on how he wants to help Arsenal in the transition for when he goes. These days no top club anywhere in the world has a "manager" and are all headed by a coach with a technical backroom staff that also sits on the board so as to do everything from contract renewals to signings while listening to advice from the head coach but ultimately those professionals deciding what's best. Arsene Wenger is stagnating the football side of the club year upon year and by the time he finally does leave (which seems to be an eternity), he will have ruined all options for the club to structure itself properly and start functioning like a football club in the twenty first century. I've been bloody going on about this for years!

It's true Costa's form becomes indifferent in the second half of the season and that infact used to happen to him for Atlético Madrid which is curious. But Lukaku has ups and downs in a season which is also detrimental when you're relying on him and in a season playing in all competitions (especially the Champions League) you can't be on a downer. In saying this, there's very little that's close to perfect and for sure anything that's resembling world class up front will cost an arm and a leg. Not only that... You have to convince them to move. How many genuine world class strikers are out there at the moment and where are they playing? I can think of these; Luis Suárez - Barça Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Gonzalo Higuaín - Juventus Antoine Griezmann - Atlético Madrid I can't think of any more unless you classify Alexis Sánchez as one which I don't and has only played there this season because Olivier Giroud is mediocrity personified.
-
Lukaku fades in and out of seasons and that's something Conte can't afford. Especially in the Champions League! But the sounds of things Lukaku would be your main man up front with a search for an accompaniment of a lesser status. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Whatever has happened between Conte and Costa, it should be sorted. Costa is not perfect by a million miles, but he's a big game player and he's been involved in massive games in his relatively short career when we consider his age. Let me ask you a question... How much do you think you'll get for Deigo Costa at most? Then tell me how much you reckon you'll be paying for Lukaku? Lukaku has proven nothing so far in his career and hasn't been involved in high profile games where it matters and the pressure is ridiculous.

This is PSG we're talking about mate. If we think Man City are bad in the Premier League, well this lot are on a whole different level. They don't need money and they couldn't give a damn about making money as they're financed by their oil baron owners. Obviously this hinders them when they come to signing players because you have to be self sufficient, but when they sell the ones they have, they're asking for ridiculous amounts of money. Barcelona found this out over the past 4 to 5 years when they tried to sign Thiago Silva initially and then in recent seasons, Marquinhos. PSG wanted amounts that are almost perverted. To be honest, at today's prices Verratti is worth it depending on your style of play. If Liverpool are asking £30m (which is €43m) for Sakho then Verratti who is actually one of the world's top players must be worth three times that.
-
That front line is weak in my opinion for a whole season in all competitions. You need someone bigger than both of those names. But other than that, your options would be extremely good everywhere else.
-
There have been a series of secret meetings between the Barça board and Marco Verratti's representatives. Infact this evening in Ibiza the player has been invited by Lionel Messi to a dinner where also Andrés Iniesta will be assisting. The rumour is that Barcelona have apparently officially offered €100m so as to have access to talk to the PSG player. Barça know that PSG won't start talking unless it's a €150m offer, but this opens the path for FCB to officially be able to contact the player personally.
-
Yeah, but you're in the Champions League next season and you will be vying to defend your league title. You need top players both on and off the field, not squad fillers.

I watch plenty of Chelsea games mate and I know what you're getting at, but Hazard is never a winger. He isn't seen that way anywhere and he would be replacing James if he went to Real Madrid. At Real James has never played on the wing... A winger is someone like Bale. Plus, that situation you've mentioned in your last sentence is something that's extremely beneficial for Chelsea and the way they play because it also forces the opponent's defence to follow the attackers moving wide and opens up the play for the second string to pick a pass through the now thin centre of defence.
-
No he doesn't mate. Just because he lingers there doesn't mean he's a winger. Iniesta roams around the left-wide area although slightly inside, but doesn't play there and neither does Hazard. Plus I can't believe you're comparing Musonda to those two.
-
James Rodríguez isn't a winger and neither is Eden Hazard. They're attacking midfielders that pull-off wide and come back inside. In Spain, Italy and Portugal this is called an interior-midfielder and something that's extremely important in modern football especially in a 3 at the back.
-
If Antonio Conte really wants him tactically, then James is worth much more than that because he's a superstar in Latin America and would raise your profile over there. Florentino Pérez isn't a mug and he is a phenomenon at making money. That is pittance for the amount you'd make off James' profile. The transfer fee is negligent mate.
-
If you sign James, then surely you're selling Hazard. Both those players can't be in the same side and one would be on the bench which in theory is great for a proper challenge for all honours as a deep squad is required these days. But seeing as James is leaving Real Madrid because he can't take being on the bench and Hazard being a Premier League protagonist that wouldn't take being relegated to the dugout. You would be selling the Belgian to get the Colombian and I'll tell you this... If you thought Hazard gives problems with his character, you ain't seen nothing yet!

PHOTOS OF THE TRIBUTE TO WEMBLEY '92 The whole FC Barcelona squad (minus the deceased Johan Cruyff) was there last night together with that great SL Benfica team to join in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Wembley '92. All of the children from La Masia were invited to participate as well. There will be more events in the coming days.

Nice try mate. hahaha

In haven't heard anything at all about Messi asking for that and I would find it strange that he would tell the board who he wants as it's not part of his job. There have been rumours in the past that he's asked for players or coaches and it's all been rubbish. But there are rumours in the Barcelona based press that Barça are interested in Mahrez. The thing is that I have absolutely no idea where he would fit in that team. Look at what's happened to Arda. Defeats of that sort don't tell us anything at all mate. They occur and most of the time it has to do lethargy and arrogance. I've seen results like that happen many times and it doesn't mean something is so good as it also doesn't mean something is so bad on a one off. Regularity is what gives us answers! Arsenal were ripped apart 8-0 by Man Utd not all that many moons ago and it didn't mean United were 8 goals better than Arsenal. Anyway... What's written in that post is what it's about. It changed the face of the club forever.
-
Teams lose mate! That team got beaten by various sides because nothing is perfect. On that Milan defeat, Barça went into that game with a very arrogant stance which had started a couple of weeks previous to the final with all sorts of comments from some players and the Barcelona based press thinking it was done and dusted. The fact was that the side that played AC Milan and got whipped was an even better side than the one that won at Wembley in 92... Much better football and Cruyff had refined it even more. These things happen but it's curious you remember that more when it is infact insignificant to what the post was about but maybe you would've preferred to find AC Milan history in the FC Barcelona thread. I'm not sure.
-
Yep... They went into that final with the "Theresa May Syndrome". I remember it well. But it's curious you know more about something that's more insignificant to football and what the post is about.
-
Yeah, Rafa Nadal is indeed a big Real Madrid fan but he isn't retarded with his comments at all and is very diplomatic infact. Strange considering his uncle was such a great player and played most of his career at Barça. But kids do stupid things I suppose.
