  1. Then why were you crying that some south americans dont get enough credit because they are from peru or somewhere else?
  2. Just an FYI, salah is an egypitan. It also depends on what league they are playing.. not many people watch Dutch League as much as they watch the "top five" leagues
  3. Guillem Balague said on his podcast that Arsenal are considering Enrique and also Edurado Berizzo. I dont know too much about Berizzo but as per him he did a fantastic job at Celta and is a pupil of Marcelo Bielsa so I assume he must set up the teams to play fantastic football.
  4. Not sure where to post this but since Xabi played for Real Madrid Im posting here... Great interview by Guillem Balague, who I think is a fantastic journalist/analyst
  5. Probably a stupid question. If liverpool win the CL, will Coutinho get a winner's medal since he was part of the liverpool's CL squad and is also cup tied?
  6. First Walcott, now Wilshere and if probably Welbeck or Ramsey follows, I guess its safe to call Arsenal a feeder club for Everton
  7. Who is interested in him though? Any decent offers from anyone? What about Ramsey, is he going to leave too? What about the dinosaur, is he staying or retiring?
  8. Yeah it was smething similar to what you wrote in the book about the dutch being arrogant about how they play rather than going to kill the games and win the trophies. But its true what you said, if anyone talks about 74 world cup most of them talk about the runners up dutch team rather than the champion german team, such was their impact. I read "My Turn" and loved it so much that I started searching for more books on Dutch football and that is how I found out about this book called "Brilliant Orange", you should try reading that mate.
  9. @VanPaddy I have been reading a book about dutch football and its called "Brilliant Orange". There are quite few paragraphs in that explaining the dutch mentality and how the players are so arrogant about their football and also how the dutch dont really care about winning for the country, the author talks to some dutch football people and they said things like these. He cites all these and few more as the reasons for the dutch to not win any major tournaments despite being so close except the euro 98 while having some of the greatest players ever. I can type some more quotes from the book which explains the above if you would like to know more in depth but I wanted to ask as a dutch football follower (and a dutch national, I assume) if those traits seem correct and applicable to the players. Do they really not play for the country and are they all arrogant, and by arrogant I mean they dont have any respect for the "smaller" opponents. This book talks about the dutch football right from the 70s when they lost two world cup finals to all the way down to the early 2000s so its not just about the recent players.
  10. ESPN FC website has posted an article saying Brendan Rodgers could be the man (along with few other names like Jardim and Simeone) to replace Arsene Wenger, what a character filled appointment that would be.
  11. I will applaud him no matter when he quits. Provided @SirBalon arranges the plane and stadium tickets for me
  12. I thought you roam without wearing anything in summers though
  13. Go for the Green one mate, the other one looks like a pretty regular boring black/navy coloured jacket
  14. Just 1 assist? Lies.... we all know he had two assists in the match against city alone. Why the agenda against the process mate?
  15. Forget the $ figures. Losing Neymar and getting Dembele who is a similar player plus Coutinho is definitely not a downgrade (if its not an upgrade) without spending an extra penny. Stupid twats thought Neymar was so instrumental to barcelona's success and this season clearly proved that he is not. Also its pretty laughable to label Coutinho as an "uproven talent". Overpaying for Dembele I can agree but as I mentioned, Barcelona only overpaid because they had the money from Neymar's deal, its simple mathematics, if PSG didnt overpay for Neymar then Barcelona wouldnt have used that same money and overpay for Dembele. No club that is ambitious is going to take that money and leave it in the bank. And talking of La Masia, every academy has its highs and Barcelona had theirs few years ago and they wont replicate it anytime soon. One cant expect an academy to produce the likes of Iniesta, Messi, busquets, Xavi, Puyol, Pique, Pedro and others every season or two. Man Utd had their good time with their academy but how many great players do they have now from their academy that start every match? The only reason people talk about La Masia is because at their peak they had THE best players come out that played for their first team and dominated world football like none other in this generation.
  16. Lallana looks like a 30+ single hipster woman who smokes weed and tries to balance her chakras every evening who is married to a tree and is a cat lady.
  17. I know you wanted to rank 1) SAF 2) Mou and 3) pep..... But do you know what that symbol means? Or did you skip school?
  18. Not about who is better and who is not. Question is why do they have to buy another striker right after 6 months a purchase was made? There were so many strikers brought in the last few years like Sanogo, Perez, Lacazette and now Aubemayang. Every summer there will be a talk of bringing in a striker and finally they get a panic buy after overpaying and then try to replace him with someone else in the next window/year.
  19. Why are Arsenal trying to bring Aubameyang? Wenger spent 50+ million for Lacazette few months ago and he doesnt seem to be totally settled and taken the league by storm, so is he going to replace him with Auba or will he be the second striker? Wenger already ruined Lucas Perez and shipped him back to spain again, will he be doing the same to lacazette now? Whoever the scouts are trying to find strikers for arsenal needs to be kicked out.
  20. league cup and community shield are hardly trophies to brag on about for months to come. How the mighty United have fallen.
  21. Would you call every transfer as "ditching" ? The only ones I would question on that picture would be Henry and Ox. Henry left to a much much better club (natural progression) after having a legendary career at Arsenal and just missing the CL medal with the club. Ox wasnt getting enough play time so he left and i dont think that would be ditching either. Nasri, Cole, RVP surely yes though. Fabregas's is a strange case because he wanted to go play for his boyhood club but deep inside he probably wanted to leave anyways.

    Cricket

Nothing new its all the same with our batting. We play a lot of home series and in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh just to pad up the stats of our "world class batsmen" who cant really perform on a decent wicket. PS: Cricket has gone to dogs after the T20 format came in and the inclusion of IPL killed any left over enjoyment in this sport.
  23. proofs or it never happened
  24. Yet you conveniently ignore the money spent on James, Isco and Bale and let them rot on the bench (Bale's due to injury though)
