  1. His name is Raphael Samuel. I personally think it's a case of SJW's self-loathing in the extreme, coupled with growing up with lawyer parents and knowing how easy it is to register a daft case in Indian courts (A man recently wanted to ban the red colour dresses throughout the country). This is his mother's response Or maybe it's just a case of trying to get fame.
  2. Watched The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom. Yes that is the title and it's based on a true story. I will be honest. I was bored and wanted to watch a really good bad movie, and came across this, hoping for that. But it's an HBO original movie, and those are usually brilliant and so is this. It's a funny satire about a mom wanting to kill a girl who beat her daughter for a place in the cheerleading squad. It's a loony plot, but because it's based on a true story and well made, this is a really good movie. Holly Hunter and Beau Bridges were brilliant in it.
  3. Google just told me that there is a bowler by that name, and I really thought you were naming General Zia for fun. On a serious note, don't know all the players, but have to rate Aaloo has the highest. He was a genuine great. Also, it's just my belief but I always felt that everyone else apart from Pakistani cricket fans rated Misbah highly.
  4. Watched Bumblebee, and it reminded me of those eighties movies of a kid finding and then protecting alien, monster, robot, etc(coincidentally this is set in eighties) . They have turned Bumblebee into a dog, hoping to induce Awws from the viewers, and it works sometimes. Dare I say it's the best Transformers movie and maybe that's because Michael Bay is not the director - and that means better humour and people not looking over-caffeinated. A decent watch.
  5. Horrendous performance today, but Boult can do that. When it swings he is virtually unplayable. On a side note, Windies are destroying England again.
  6. Finally watched The Four Year Plan. This should have been made into a series instead of a 90 minutes movie. Absolutely mad how they ran that club. It's a surprise they didn't get further relegated. Maybe they didn't because Briatore stepped down and allowed Bhatia to take over. The most interesting character was Gianni Paladini. Yep, he was a jerk and acted like Briatore's pet, but he would make a fabulous fictional character.
  7. Could be. Watching a movie in a theater with an involved audience can be a good experience instead of watching it at home. However, I am certain you will change your opinion if you watch it again. It profited from the hype.
  8. Watched Aquaman, which was a bit meh for me. It's like DC are a five-six years behind Marvel. Marvel started with origin stories. After Age of Ultron realised people have grown tired of destruction porn, so moved on to the brainy stuff like Civil War. Chased loony but super fun ideas like Ragnarok. Brought in humour with Guardians of the Galaxy and Antman. Took risks with R rated stuff like Deadpool and Logan. And are closing it with Infinity and Endgame (I know there will be a reboot). But DC, who finally added a wee bit of humour with Justice League are still stuck at the destruction porn level. Honestly Aquaman felt like a child overusing Ragnarok's colour and creating an underwater version of Black Panther, with a less interesting villain.
  9. @Kowabunga is absolutely spot on. What's happening in Syria is for everyone to see thanks to independent journos like Bartlett. At least in today's times, when there is clear access to fresh information online, such coups should not happen. Anyone who believes that the West is doing this to actually help the locals is daft. And it also goes without saying that Maduro is monster. And even Russians and Chinese who opposing this coup are looking after their interests, just like the West.
  10. Ayushmann Khurana lookalike
  11. Kiwis have been really disappointing in this series. Was nice to see Pandya back in the side. He makes our team stronger. Hoping to see Shubman Gill feature in the next games.
  12. Caught 'Every Day' while channel surfing. It's a decent romantic flick. The story is really unique. Unfortunately it unravels around high school students and therefore is somewhat predictable and corny at times. The end also felt less risky. But the makers hired really good actors and all the teens did a good job and were extremely likeable in their roles. Angourie Rice is going to be star. Apparently it is based on a best seller novel and there is also a Korean version with adults. I will try to watch that, because it might be a more daring version than this. If you are looking for a decent romantic flick to watch with your other half (Valentine's Day is around the corner), then this is not a bad option.
  13. This, I strongly agree. Also, the mark of a good manager is the creation of a spine. Even though it took Klopp few seasons to sort out the defence, he had already created the attack. Also, this piece from Goal is good explanation of how things work at the club now. Was nice to read about Henderson's role in signing Van Dijk. https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/from-tears-in-kiev-to-title-challengers-how-liverpool-turned-their-champions-league-misfortune-into-motivation-216742

Isn't that just based on your search history? Come on @...Dan admit you are searching for black milfs or something like that.
  15. Really nice to see the Windies performing like that again. Common sense finally prevails.
  16. Started watching You, and three episodes in and the only thing I feel is that this could have been so much darker and better. It seems like a Gossip Girl version of a creepy dude story. And what terrible plot holes. He is standing there, on the road in front of her giant window and she doesn't spot him? Or he is travelling everywhere with her boyfriend's mobile phone, including bringing it to his home and he won't be caught because that? Cause Indian true series regularly show how cell phones get registered in nearby towers and therefore you can tell their positions even on a latter date. Hopefully, this gets better in the coming episodes. She is poor man's Evan Rachel Wood. Still cute though. Spot on. Peaches on the other hand .
  17. Naah man, it's still technically a shitty thing to say, especially to an African. The internet is going to make sure that Sarfaraz will be fucked.
  18. @Azeem Thoughts on this. That's racist. Nice to see loads of Pakistanis online are calling it wrong, instead of looking at it as harmless. Even the lad who tweeted this as a joke first has apologised. Surely in today's world Sarfaraz is going to be in huge trouble. Translation of Sarfaraz's words there, 'Hey Blacky is your mum sitting here or what have you eaten today that you're so lucky today?
  19. @Test team Would have put Butler in there instead of Pant. Pant has done well (two away centuries already), but Butler was a different class against us and made some stellar contributions which shifted the results completely from a possible Indian win to England win in couple of matches. Happy to see Holder. Lone warrior against us with the bat and bowl. He is very underrated. @Kohli diva debate I don't mind his modelling or commercial gigs. They have a short shelf life and need to make most of it. What I do mind is his and his wife's obsession to milk every achievement and make it about themselves. There were even rumours about her being present in team meetings. And who can forget this infamous photo taken at the Indian High Commission in UK during England tour, where she had absolutely no business being part of it, while the vice captain was thrown in the last row. Same thing happened during Australian tour when the team went to meet the Aussie PM. It was an official visit and again it was Anushka in the front. She has no business being around the team.
  20. Needlessly gets the runrate high. It's going to be come back to bite him and us, most probably in the WC (it has on few occasions in recent past). On a side note, the power struggle at BCCI between Edulji and Vinod Rai (the current court appointed heads of BCCI) is costing Hardik Pandya dearly. In a World Cup year. https://m.timesofindia.com/sports/cricket/news/difference-of-opinion-in-coa-vinod-rai-and-diana-edulji-engage-different-lawyers-in-supreme-court/amp_articleshow/67577062.cms
  21. Dhoni's obsession of taking every match to the last over, even when things are easier before is absolutely irritating as hell.
  22. I actually think the first season is very good. And it remains good until Izzy finds that heart patient. It went downhill after that. The OST though is good. It introduced me to some really good artists.
  23. Watched the First Man and my only real regret is that I didn't catch it in the theatres. This would have been something in IMAX. It's beautifully shot and I loved the pace, which others might think was slow. Ryan Gosling owns the 'cool' tag of this generation. Drive, Place Beyond the Pines, Blade Runner 2049, etc. I could go on and on. Damien Chazelle is no different- Whiplash and now this. If he was older he would be nailed on for the Oscar.
  24. From the makers of Nightcrawler, so it should be good.
  25. Yes. It left me confused for a long time, until it got stuck in my head, just like Angel. He is one of a kind.
