Dovbyk scored to give Girona an early lead in the 4th minute away to Atletico Madrid. But a Griezmann penalty goal in the 34 minute and a Correa goal in the 6th minute of injury time in the 1st half, has turned this match around for Atletico Madrid.

Half-time score: Atletico Madrid 2-1 Girona

Girona can be proud of what they have acomplished this season, whatever happens from here. They will finish with 70+ points and in a Champions League spot, something that nobody would have predicted at the start of the season.

In my opinion, CF Barcelona's best era came with Leo Messi, a great football player and one of the best in the history of football. Since he left, many others left and the CF Barcelona has never been the same since then. I hope better times come for this great team!

    It's FC Barcelona.

But I think your opinion about Barcelona's era is shared by everyone to be honest mate. That will be tough to surpass.

Had mine removed in my early 20's. Dont remember it being overly painful or any complications. Eating liquids for like 5 or 6 days definitely sucked though.

My last 2 came through in my 30s.

I had a bit of pain with one coming through as it slightly impacted but nothing major. The others came though with zero pain.

  4. Good result from Barça last night. A well deserved victory but it was frustrating to concede 2 as the team actually defended well over the 90 minutes and didn't deserve to go 2-1 down for me. Great comeback from there however. Barcelona in recent years have folded and ended up recieving  hammering in those types of moments.

Raphinha has been a different player lately also and is playing like the player who he was supposed to be when signed. Class performance by him. I can now see why @Lucas loved him at Leeds. He just needed time to adjust it seems.

Pedri and de Jong back is massive. You'd expect Pedri to start in the 2nd leg over Sergi Roberto.

Xavi deserves credit for the subs. Pedri came on and played a lovely pass to assist Raphinha almost instantly, then Christensen came on and scored the winner 2 minutes later.

The problem with it only being 3-2 is that it can easily be overturned by a player of Mbappe's quality, even Dembélé, so the team need to be at their best in the second leg, as do the fans. The Olympic stadium isn't Camp Nou either.

I am happy for Athletic Bilbao but I feel sorry for Mallorca. Mallorca did excellently to reach the final and were so unlucky to lose on penalties in the end. Mallorca have one of the strongest defences in the La Liga and they are always tough to beat. Mallorca will be gutted that they lost this final, after coming so close to winning the Copa del rey. For Athletic Bilbao, it's a great achievement to win the trophy again after so many years.

Both are likeable clubs, so it's a shame in many ways that both couldn't have won it, although that is obviously not possible.

Loved the scenes from San Mames. More clubs should do that to help their fans watch it when they can't get tickets to the final.

Athletic certainly think of the fans.

They have done well very overall throughout their history, having never been relegated ever and winning 24 Copas del rey and 8 leagues.

Interestingly none of them, before Sunday night, had come in the last 40 years.

Liverpool favourites for the Premier League after that draw, especially if the two end up playing eachother in the semi's.

I hope they do, just because it would be the perfect end for Klopp.

The Europa league is probably going to Anfield as well.

I hope to god Atletico shithouse their way to the final.

Atlético need a Champions League to be honest. They should have already won atleast one now throughout their history.

Nice B| looking forward to playing them again. think it will be closer this time with our slight decline this season

I hope you smash the cunts about 6-0.

Barcelona are out. Just Mbappe alone. They aren't a great side, but Mbappe is too much. The most dangerous player in the world.

If everyone was fit, like Pedri, Gavi, Balde and de Jong, this team could give anyone a go over 2 games but injuries are a big issue.

If they can get past PSG though, that semi final draw would be doable. Atlético are a nightmare but Barcelona would have more chance beating them currently than someone like City or even Bayern, who are Barcelona's biggest nightmare in this competition.

    Religious prejudice

Ironically the worst for this are actually other religious people.

Muslims vs Hindus, Muslims vs Jews, Muslims vs Christians, Catholics vs Protestants. In fact even Shia Muslims vs Sunni Muslims...

They are often the worst when it comes to homophobia too.

I play on ultimate and usually around my 3rd or 4th season I am winning the league in early April.

I'd get around 100 points and there would be a team behind me on nearly the same points for 4 or 5 seasons straight. Real Sociedad finished on about 105 points when they beat me to it 😂

What can you say about the kid? Before scoring, he always looked the most likely of doing so.

Cubarsi, another 16 year old, has also been doing well at centre back. He had a solid game last night.

The issue is keeping players fit. De Jong, Pedri, Gavi and Balde all out. When fit, they are all among the first names on the team sheet. Very frustrating.

With de Jong, Pedri, Gavi and Balde all fully fit and at their best, it would be a different team.

Have you tried sliders? I got to a point on Fifa 23 where I had s treble winning Aston Villa team that were unstoppable. Tried sliders on a new save and it brought the competition back

Yeah I was actually thinking of moving up to that level. I usually play world class but it would make sense to change it to legendary and use sliders.

In saying that, I never seem to win the league easy. There is always a team who finishes within 2 or 3 points of me. In fact Real Sociedad beat me to it one season by a point. Once you have a team full of 90 players though, then it becomes too easy. This is also why I play 3 minute halves, keep the scoreline down a bit haha.

Atlético Madrid seem to always be a difficult team to play against for some reason.

  13. Inter Miami look much improved this season so far. Suárez has already brought alot to them and Messi, Alba and Busquets look fresh.

They also have some good young Latin American players as well.

Winning the North American Champions league is very possible but won't be easy as the best Mexican clubs are no push over.

I literally made my best purchase ever in any edition of FIFA recently.

Marko Stamenic, New Zealand midfielder. Got him as a free agent given his height and defensive/aerial qualities. 70 rated.

    5 seasons later, he's rated 89. A complete midfielder.

I was thinking of doing one with Morecambe. It's boring with Barcelona after a while, I just wanted to see how those young players grew.

A few years back I created Lancaster City and took them up from League 1.

One thing I don't understand is is the Copa América mode. You can play against many teams but only Argentine teams are available to play with. They need more South American leagues like they used to.

Israel and Russia used to have very close ties - a lot of Israel was built by Russian-Jewish engineers who moved there. There are many Russian-Israeli dual nationals.

I think those ties have worsened because Russia's very clearly using its ally in Iran to have activated its proxies to kick all of this shit off as a way of distracting the world's attention from Ukraine. So I think it makes perfect sense that Israel is now willing to actively work against Russia, who actively work to support Iran, who in turn are providing material support to Hamas, Houthis, and Hezbollah.

I wouldn't say Israel has a general reluctance to supply weapons to allies. Israeli drones and weaponry were a big part of the way how Azerbaijan's military has been bolstered since losing their war against Armenia in the 90s to now looking like if Azerbaijan ever did invade Armenia - Armenia would be absolutely fucked. When justifying the Holocaust, he's quoted as having said "After all, who remembers the annihiliation of the Armenians?" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler's_Armenian_reference) - a reference to the Armenian genocide (the genocide that led to the creation of the word "genocide") - Armenians and Israelis should probably be very close allies due to their common history and the commonality of being a young democratic nation surrounded by very hostile enemies that can justify wiping out their ethnicities. But Israel's support of ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabagh, as well as Israel's continual refusal to recognise the Armenian genocide (granted, this is mostly political - due to not wanting to piss of Turkey, a vital NATO member because of their location) are why Israel generally does not enjoy support from Armenians at large. And that's despite Jerusalem's Armenian quarter and Armenians having been living in the region for an absurdly long time (although the recent treatment of Armenians in Israel also probably has Armenia quite pissed off at Israel).

Israel's had a general reluctance to support Ukraine against Russia primarily because of not wanting to damage ties with Russia, and partially because Ukraine consistently does not side with Israel in the UN. It seems months of war and threats of the war expanding from proxies of Russia's ally have finally given Israel a reason to not care if their ties with Russia suffer further strains.

*edit* - I've just gone and done some searching and I have found NOTHING that indicates Israel is giving Ukraine the Iron Dome xD STOP MAKING SHIT UP

Maybe one of the worst in Europe, but I think it depends on how you qualify "one of the worst" - I think in the world, you'd be hard pressed to say they make the bottom 10 countries for respecting human rights. The bottom countries for human rights according to statistia are: Yemen, Iran, China, Egypt, Syria, Central African Republic, DR Congo, North Korea, Burma, Sudan, Eritrea, Russia, Burundi, Somalia, and Libya. Places where you've got a mix of: authoritarian rule, corruption being "the way things work," and failed states. (https://www.statista.com/statistics/1256220/highest-human-rights-and-rule-of-law-index-by-country/)

But again, I think we only have to worry about NATO conscription and UK (and other NATO nations) being sent to the frontlines if Ukraine falls and Russia decides to push further westward.

I actually meant to write Europe. But either way, they aren't conscribing me.

I'll fuck off to Cambodia and hide at @nudge's house..

I've heard Jayden Danns isn't even in the game & he's 18. I don't play FIFA anymore so I can't confirm - I suppose it's probably difficult for EA to keep track of what young players will get promoted up into first team squads though.

He'll be on the next one either way and it was easy enough to create him.

Vitor Roque is also a beast. He wasn't added to the game until Jan but he's now at 95 for me.

This has been refreshing as I didn't get the last few Fifas.

I sold Gvardiol and replaced him with Saliba as he was moaning and then requested a transfer and Ter Stegen has been replaced by Donnarumma, as the German started to massively decline.

    --------------- Donnarumma(91)

    Koundé(93) - Saliba(90) - Araújo(92) - Balde(91)

    ---------Pedri(96) - de Jong(92) - Gavi(91)

    -------Yamal(96) - Roque(95) - Fati(93)

  17. I had to create Yamal, as he isn't on the game due to age, and he's grown from like 74 to 94.

It's ridiculous how he's not on the game though. He can play real games in real life but not appear on a fucking game for the fact he's 16?

I must say, the goals I score on this are ridiculous. Some beauties.

Ultimate difficulty CPU genuinely has only one way to score (take winger and either dribble to goal line and cross or finds open runner inside box) yet it’s so difficult to defend against because our players AI are fucking statues.

I hate it as you often concede that 1 goal to fuck the clean sheet up.

By a show of hands who is absolutely fucking terrified of mandatory conscription and being sent to the fronts to fight for Ukraine's democracy (lol).

Don't all rush in at once

Isn't Ukraine one of the worst countries for violating human rights?

  20. Barça should have won last night really. The better team, although 1-1 away in Italy isn't a terrible result. Napoli's goal came from a horrendous error, again! This time from Iñigo Martínez. The defence last season was largely solid, but this season it has been a huge issue, which hasn't been helped by all the tinkering.

Good to see Lewandowski back in the goals. He was having a dry patch, but has 5 in his last 4. Hopefully he continues his form as it's needed.

I don't think Barcelona have a chance in this Champions league but getting to a semi, or even a quarter, would show progression in the tournament after 2 embarrassing group stage exits.
