  1. Big step towards the upcoming orbital test flight - potentially next month already.
  2. So Liberty Media Corporation have sent a letter to FIA warning them of potential legal action due to Ben Sulayem's criticism of inflated price tag being put on F1 that he posted yesterday. This all comes from the alleged 20 billion USD offer by the Saudi Public Investment Fund earlier, which Liberty Media reportedly rejected.
  3. The person who bought the land and ordered the monument to be built in 1980 used a pseudonym, and then later transferred the land rights to the state, so nobody knows who that person was. These were the 10 guidelines inscribed in the monument in 8 languages (English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian): Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity. Unite humanity with a living new language. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court. Avoid petty laws and useless officials. Balance personal rights with social duties. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature. The center column featured a hole drilled at an angle from one side to the other, through which the North Star could be seen. The same pillar had a slot carved through it which was aligned with the Sun's solstices and equinoxes. An aperture in the capstone allowed a ray of sun to pass through at noon each day, shining a beam on the center stone indicating the day of the year. The monument doesn't exist anymore, as last year, someone blew part of it up with an explosive device, and then the rest was also demolished. There were previous attacks with paint etc, as some people apparently believed that it's a demonic Satanist plot or the 10 Commandments of Antichrist.
  4. 39 mass shootings in just 24 days. Wow.
  5. They have been taken over a new entity and also appointed a new CEO, so wanting a fresh start is probably not surprising, especially given all the issues that plagued them in recent years... So I suppose relaunching the magazine and starting with a #1 issue again is just a way to symbolically show that they are rebuilding completely (and to boost sales, of course). I hope they sort it out and do well. Always loved the magazine, it's an iconic brand, and it was sad to continuously read about all the cash flow issue and failed contractual obligations.
  6. OMG, I just saw @Dr Boris Gobshite in the online list

For me it's about the texture, not the nutritional value. I'm fine with some frozen veggies (like peas, sweet corn, chopped carrots etc.), but some others are just vile. Green beans, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli are usually just too soggy, mushy, and lose all the crunchiness

Only fresh, with the exception of peas, corn, and spinach, to some degree.
  9. Stalin, Hitler, Trotsky, Tito, Freud and Archduke Franz Ferdinand were all living in Vienna in the summer of 1913, and most of them frequented Café Central. This is useful information for time travelers looking for an easy, almost effortless way to drastically change the course of history
  10. And in German dub, one of the skeletons is voiced by Claudio Pizarro
  11. As long as it keeps you posting... Married's not dead, you know
  12. Yeah I emailed him with no success
  13. This is what happens when people don't do their research before they publish videos and get all outraged. Read more about it here: Short summary: it is not real, just a fictional sci-fi concept video from a filmmaker.

Not in the past, but as I get older, I noticed that I get slightly irritated when I'm really hungry. Like, not enough to lose my shit or lash out at people, but I do get annoyed easier.
  15. The way he kicked that door and then used his paw to stop the door from swinging back at him; that's obviously an experienced intruder at work here "NOW WHERE'S MY FUCKING PORRIDGE???"
  16. We should totally de-extinct them at let them roam free.
  17. After @Tommy's recent posts, I reinstalled Stardew Valley and started a new save couple of days ago...and now I am properly hooked again. Gee, thanks Tommy... Really enjoying it, actually even more than I did last time - I think they introduced some updates since the last time I played it, and now the whole gameplay feels even more seamless. 10 hours in so far.
  18. Bread with spreadable cheese (or butter, can't tell for sure) and coffee with cream and sugar + water, looks absolutely ok to me. It's not as if you need a breakfast of 1000 kcal or more while you're spending your time in bed all day and recovering from whatever caused the admission to the hospital anyway... Or maybe it's just the hospital's way to tell them that they're fat
  19. Hey, being a racing driver is an expensive lifestyle, you should be buying several of these to support her
