  1. As if Fairy In Boots has the foggiest idea about anything that's ever happened in Tunisia, Israel or anywhere in the middle East, this is the problem. Too many people talking about what they know nothing about. Sadly its many of our politicians, on all sides. Ignorance used to be something which people were ashamed of and hid. Now people parade it in plain sight, even deny its existence.
  2. Let's hope Joshua doesn't have the giddiness of some of his fanboys, he knows himself.
  3. True, I do think Ruiz has lost something thought. He's only just 6ft, the tactic was all wrong. It's not being a 'bandwagon jumping cunt' to not be bowled over by Joshua beating a man he was 1/33 on to beat last time. Credit it where it's due but the Hearn hype machine is unbearable and we are going to have it to hear it all over again.
  4. Nah, he's let it all go. I know the sun/hearn propaganda machine is pumping out the AJ is amazing myth again but Ruiz was a mess.
  5. Ruiz has let the success get to him, tbf. Didn't show his best.
  6. Yes, got that one wrong. Lot of affection for Maguire, like Robertson, but by a lot of accounts he's not been too good at Manchester United and Leicester have come on leaps and bounds. Don't think the absence of Maguire explains Leicester's good form but they certainly don't miss him.
  7. It's all about securing interests, Rodgers was clever in floating the 'I've got a release clause' stuff to the press. Means Leicester need to act quickly to give him more money, and stave off interest for the time being. Also means they'll get more money should he depart in the summer etc.
  8. Has anyone on here broken their arm before? I got clattered playing 5-a side last night and it I'm a bit worried, the pain has died down when it's still but if try to turn my palm upwards I can't do it, otherwise it's fine. I think I'd be in more constant pain if it was broken but google isn't being much use.
  9. It's too late, you've won the war. English football has succumbed to the filthy lucre.
  10. Pitiful capitulation by the authorities, these oil clubs can do as they please.
  11. Our universities are now rapacious, companies designed to make as much profit as possible, there is no pushing of 'socialist policies', only someone completely ignorant of higher education could suggest such a thing.
  12. 'I feel I want to continue that...' hardly a affirmative no is it. It's only a matter of time.
  13. Good news, still to small but every step is important. Hopefully get full time permission of concerts during the summer and then a train station might be viable.
  14. Obviously Leicester are surprising people, though their squad is better than people think. I think Chelsea have a far superior squad to Arsenal though.
  15. Who have you signed who has improved you? Luiz and Pepe look like awful signings so far.
  16. I've been disappointed in how Labour have baulked at pledging to raise the basic rate of tax, we all should be paying more. Not just the rich. Even the Lib Dems have come closer to saying so than Labour.
  17. Corbyn was underwhelming last night. We all know the anti-Semitism stuff is exploited but he should have still apologised, all it needed was something like 'I apologise for the behaviour of a minority of Labour members/supporters. It is not something I condone, anti-Semitism is racism like any other and anyone found guilty of it will be expelled from the party'. It would have been dismissed out of hand by many, because they don't actually care about it but it was an easy win. The documents Corbyn has unveiled today RE NHS and the USA are pretty damning though.
  18. Personally thought Ryder won it, Smith lucky to be a Hearn fighter in front of his home crowd.
  19. How do Chelsea fans rate Abraham, is he capable of being a top class striker? I was a bit dismissive at the start of the season and then he fired in 8 in 7 games or whatever it was.
  20. I'd say to any young person, leave now. This country is only going one way now.
  21. The tory part is the politics of deference and defending class interests. We have been a low tax, low wage economy for nearly 40 years. Our country is one of the most unhappy in Europe, has social problems that other counties simply don't have and is on the brink of recession, again. Things are not working at all. What a terrible analogy that is Fairy, probably written by someone with either no friends or terrible friends. That analogy completely forgets the spirit of friendship, not surprising given its from a tory perspective. The analogy would also work better if the wealthy man was drinking the finest cognac and the poor the landlord's piss, thst would better sum up the UK at the moment. We live in a country which is inherently selfish, and it shows in our culture, politics and economics. Corbyn's policies are barely even radical. We've been Americanised. Britain is dead and it is only going to get worse and worse.
  22. The inheritance tax aims to tax people at the same rate as income. So if you're losing 200k through tax you're gaining what, at least double that?
