  1. Manchester United could certainly get over 100k with a fairer pricing system, Liverpool not too far behind. Clubs like Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, Manchester City, Villa, Newcastle could all be getting over 60k with the right pricing. It's just not going to happen though. Maybe I'm underestimating how much tv has taken over and killed football now, but all those clubs have large fanbases with a large matchgoing faithful, which is different from twitters fans etc. Make tickets £10.00 for anyone within 1 mile of the ground.
  2. Still far too small, should be 65K plus. I believe the new plans mean it should get to around 63k.
  3. I was on a speed awareness course last night, so missed the debate. My evening sounded more interesting.
  4. People still don't understand the total revolution that has happened in this country since the 1980s, community means absolutely nothing to anyone anymore. When Thatcher said there is 'so such thing as society' she was wrong, but now she would be right. They have achieved their aim.
  5. https://mobile.twitter.com/Football__Tweet/status/1196058657416462337 The fuck is that
  6. It's not likely to be enough but Labour's campaign has been infinitely better than the tories so far. Even if I am biased, trying to be objective the Conservatives just don't seem to be able to promote a positive message at all. Is Lynton Crosby still directing them?
  7. Certainly doesn't seem to be trusted at the moment, I'd hope there would be some sensible heads and plenty of time given but wouldn't be surprised to see him return end of the season.
  8. Oliver Cromwell 'started the civil war', these racists really don't know their English history do they.
  9. It was scratch, nothing serious. Let's face it, unless Sterling is a highly trained black belt in martial arts on the sly, it's highly unlikely he'd be able to do any damage to Gomez.
  10. Silva banned for one game for his Mendy tweet, assume it'll be the Chelsea game he misses?
  11. Unlikely to have any major effect, as much as he wishes it would. More likely to take Tory votes in marginal seats than Labour. Still an extremely difficult task for Labour, the loss of Scotland means they're unlikely to win an outright election again.
  12. Must have been more that, surely? Probably another physical confrontation. Not often I agree with Rio Ferdinand but if it was just a tussle then surely this could have been kept in house?
  13. Obviously it was but if we're punishing that we may as well forget it.
  14. Been a spate of terrible articles about Guardiola in the Guardian. Last week, Aluko said that Guardiola just falls short of being among 'the greats' because he hasn't won enough Champions League and today there's an article from Barney Ronay saying this is Guardiola's endgame and he's burning out at Manchester City. As bad as Paul Merson's footballing insight at times.
  15. His team mates should have walked off, they need to go on strike over this kind of thing.
  16. Why? Phil Neville proving himself absolutely hopeless I see. Arrogant arsehole.
  17. Fuck that, go for greatness, win them all. Aim for the treble that Manchester United did, the greatest achievement in English football history.
  18. Really? Always got the impression an England crowd is pretty placid and full of families, nothing intimidating.
  19. Italy is beyond the pale now, it seems to be seen as some sort of civilised, Western country, in comparison to Bulgaria who are, you know 'eastern' so you expect it. Italy must be one of the worst in Europe.
  20. Who are those bellends and why is the Arsenal fan celebrating? Football really is fucking shit nowadays.
  21. It's fairly simple to fund, taxation. We are a low tax country and look like one, everyone moans but nobody wants to pay for anything! This isn't an anti-rich tirade, I want people to be able to make money and lead prosperous lives but a slight rise in tax wouldn't change that. Not just the rich either, I'm very far from being rich but wouldn't object to an extra £20-50 pound coming out of my pay packet if I knew it was going to help this country get itself together and flourish, everywhere, again.
  22. A slight twist in that Farage has essentially said he'll only step aside if Johnson rubbishes his own deal, no chance of that so it's likely they will be running candidates in most of the country.
  23. Removing the option of Brexit altogether would be outrageous, you can't just dismiss it, as much as the London bubble would like that. The Lib Dems only have that as their policy because they know they are incapable of winning.
  24. No surprise that you don't know what you're talking about. Labour have said they would attempt to renegotiate and then put any deal to a referendum against Remain. It's a far better attempt at engaging than the Lib Dems farcical 'just revoke' policy. Labour should focus on their message, any coalition talk can wait till after the election. Labour are the only party offering a positive, hopeful message for working people.
